Assistance in Potato Donut Processing and Entrepreneurship in Podokoyo Village, Tosari District, Pasuruan
Get PDFPurpose: The primary objective of this community service program is to enhance the agricultural potential of Podokoyo tourist village by addressing the knowledge gap in potato processing. The program aims to equip the Family Welfare Development Women of Podokoyo Village with the skills and knowledge to transform potatoes, a local agricultural product, into high-value donut products.
Method: The program is implemented in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparation stage involves arranging the necessary equipment and facilities, ensuring space availability, and securing partner involvement and community support. The implementation stage is where the actual training takes place, and the participants learn to process potatoes into donuts. The evaluation stage assesses the effectiveness of the training and the participants’ ability to apply their new skills.
Practical Applications: The practical outcome of this program is that the participants, the Family Welfare Development Women, are expected to be able to process potatoes into more valuable donut products. This not only adds value to the local agricultural produce but also contributes to the economic development of the Podokoyo village.
Conclusion: The program has successfully achieved its goals, as evidenced by the improved abilities of the participants in financial management and adding value to their products. The success of the program is attributed to the availability of necessary equipment and facilities, partner involvement, and community support. This initiative has the potential to significantly improve the welfare of the rural communities in Podokoyo village
Implementation of Application-Based Accounting and Finance in MSMEs Gresik Regency
Get PDFPurpose: The purpose of community service is to provide an understanding and basic practice of accounting and finance for small and medium scale business activities in Gresik that are application-based.
Method: The methods used include lectures, workshops, interactive Q&A, and practical exercises. The activity participants consisted of 29 participants in Gresik. Supporting data was collected through direct observation and interviews with representatives of the small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Practical Applications: There are implications for the participants, including: 1) SMEs need to be disciplined in financial record-keeping, even if the financial records are simple; 2) SMEs are expected to utilize personal or business assets in the form of devices to record business finances using applications; 3) It is hoped that SMEs can continue to grow and open themselves to always learning new things in the disruptive era.
Conclusion: The results of the activity show that the implementation of community service went smoothly and received high enthusiasm from the participants. The material provided was in line with the purpose of this community service
Training on the Utilization of Traditional Medicines in the Community of Selayar District (Collaboration with Ksatria Airlangga Floating Hospital)
Get PDFPurpose: This research aims to address the limited knowledge of traditional medicine among communities in Selayar Regency, South Sulawesi. It highlights the significance of improving understanding and usage of traditional medicine to enhance health outcomes in areas with limited healthcare facilities.
Method: The study utilized a hybrid approach, involving seminars and training for 50 PKK (Family Welfare Movement) cadres. Pre and post-tests were administered to assess knowledge changes regarding medicinal plants and traditional medicine preparation.
Practical Applications: The findings indicate that enhancing the knowledge of PKK cadres can empower them to share this information in their communities, leading to increased use of traditional remedies and improved health outcomes.
Conclusion: The study found a notable increase in knowledge, with correct answers rising from 64.54% in the pre-test to 75.67% in the post-test. These results demonstrate the effectiveness of the training and its potential to address health challenges in Selayar Regency through the utilization of traditional medicine
