Dissemination of Portable Water Treatment for Providing Clean and Fresh Water for People Living in the Coastal Area of Meuraxa District, Banda Aceh
Purpose: This community service aims to introduce and disseminate the portable water treatment that can be used for people living in the coastal area specifically in the Meuraxa District, Banda Aceh.
Method: The implementation method of the Community Service Program activities uses descriptive analysis methods, demonstrations, and direct practice by group partners and community members. For the operation of the water treatment unit installation, community group partners will emphasize the demonstration method based on operational control by prioritizing operator safety.
Practical Application: This integrated clean water treatment plant can desalinate water and separate organic and inorganic solid particles. This clean water treatment system is portable and has a working capacity of around ± 1000 liters. This installation is equipped with a sorting system and an automatic transfer system on the piping and pumping. This installation is needed to accelerate the process of cleaning and purifying water from brackish water to fresh water that is suitable for use and consumption.
Conclusion: This product-based community service has produced a product in the form of a portable water treatment installation for filtering and cleaning water from pollutants, contaminants and/or impurities. Hence, this technology would help people living in the coastal area provide fresh water and clean water for their lives
Instagram as a Promotional Media for Islamic Boarding School Darul Ilmi Wal Amal
Purpose: This study examines how Instagram can be optimized as a promotional tool for Pesantren Darul Ilmi wal Amal, an Islamic boarding school with limited public visibility and student enrollment. The research addresses the challenge of promoting a newly established educational institution through effective digital channels.
Method: Employing a qualitative approach, the research involved stakeholder discussions to map promotional strategies, development of Instagram content showcasing institutional profiles and activities, and evaluation using open-ended questionnaires distributed via Google Form.
Practical Applications: The findings provide actionable recommendations: enhancing visual quality and consistent branding, creating emotionally engaging stories, utilizing interactive features (polls, Q&A), posting educational content, optimizing captions and hashtags, and using analytics to refine engagement strategies.
Conclusion: While the initial Instagram presence was visually appealing, it lacked structured planning and engagement. With strategic content optimization and consistency, Instagram demonstrates significant potential as an effective promotional medium to increase public interest and student enrollment in the Islamic boarding school
Canva-Based Logo and Packaging Design Training for the "Tani Maju" Farmer Group of Bantarkulon
Purpose: This study aimed to empower the "Tani Maju" Farmer Group by improving their product visualization through Canva-based logo and packaging design training, addressing their limited design skills that hinder market competitiveness.
Method: A participatory action research (PAR) approach guided four interactive sessions. Data were collected via pre- and post-training questionnaires (5-point Likert scale) and analysis of design outputs, with paired t-tests and thematic analysis applied.
Practical Applications: Findings show that accessible digital tools like Canva enhance branding for agricultural MSMEs, enabling cost-effective, professional packaging design, improving marketability and sales potential.
Conclusion: Training significantly boosted participants’ design knowledge, skills (up to 122.22%), and confidence (up to 153.33%). The study demonstrates how digital literacy empowers rural communities, strengthens local economies, and bridges the gap between traditional farming and modern marketing
The Impact of Employee Engagement on Work Performance: Observational Study In The Human Capital Division of PT KPI RU III
Purpose: This study examines the impact of employee engagement on work performance within the Human Capital Division of PT KPI RU III Palembang, focusing on emotional, cognitive, and behavioral engagement as drivers of productivity and organizational commitment in the energy sector.
Method: Using participatory observation during an internship, data were collected through direct observation of employee interactions, work behavior, and task responses, analyzed contextually to understand engagement dynamics.
Practical Applications: Findings support HR strategies by emphasizing psychological safety, supportive leadership, and employee participation to enhance engagement, teamwork, and adaptability, particularly during digital transformation.
Conclusion: Employee engagement significantly improves performance, evidenced by discipline, enthusiasm, and teamwork. However, high workloads and limited decision-making involvement remain challenges. Strengthening engagement fosters sustainable performance and organizational success
Batik Stamp Training for PKK Mothers to Build Entrepreneurial Spirit
Purpose: This community service aimed to cultivate entrepreneurial spirit among productive-age PKK mothers in RW 10 Sekarpuro Village, Pakis District, Malang Regency. The primary goal was to enhance their income generation capabilities and productively utilize their free time through creative economic activities.
Method: A structured batik stamp training program was implemented, utilizing accessible materials and simple stamp-making techniques that can be easily replicated by participants, addressing human resource development needs.
Practical Applications: The training focused on developing practical skills in batik stamp production with creative and innovative designs that have economic value, enabling participants to produce marketable handicrafts.
Conclusion: The training successfully equipped participants with skills to become reliable entrepreneurs in stamped batik, demonstrating potential for sustainable income generation and community economic development through creative industry engagement
Sustainability Accounting and Tax Compliance Education: PT Enha Bena Nusantara
Purpose: This program aims to enhance understanding and implementation of sustainability accounting and tax compliance at PT Enha Bena Nusantara, addressing literacy gaps and integration challenges faced by SMEs.
Method: A participatory approach was applied through a two-day training, interactive discussions, and case studies. Data were collected using pre- and post-training questionnaires, observations, and interviews, analyzed through descriptive statistics and thematic analysis.
Practical Applications: The five-stage educational model includes assessment, module development, workshop implementation, evaluation, and replication. Materials cover sustainability accounting, bookkeeping, tax regulations, and exercises linking reporting to compliance.
Conclusion: The intervention significantly improved participants’ knowledge and awareness of sustainability accounting and tax obligations. The program offers practical solutions to strengthen transparency, fiscal compliance, and long-term competitiveness for SMEs
Technology-Driven Community Waste Management Model: Transforming Organic Waste into Renewable Energy
Purpose: This study addresses the challenge of ineffective organic waste management in Indonesia by developing a technology-driven, community-based model.
Method: An integrated system was implemented at an Integrated Waste Processing Facility (TPST), featuring an automatic sorter using color, infrared, and weight sensors, combined with an anaerobic bioreactor for biogas production. The process was monitored through an IoT platform for real-time control.
Practical Applications: The system improved sorting efficiency and reduced processing time, while community training increased household waste segregation participation from 15% to 48%.
Conclusion: The model achieved 92% sorting accuracy and produced an average of 22 m³ of biogas per ton of waste, demonstrating that combining automation with social empowerment creates an effective and replicable solution for sustainable waste management and renewable energy transition
Empowerment of Gulf Communities Tomini In Improving Blue Economy Through Soft skills Technopreneurship in the Subdistrict North Leato, Gorontalo
Purpose: This research discusses the processing of skipjack tuna into frozen food in the form of rolls for UKM (Small and Medium Enterprises) groups in the North Leato sub-district, Gorontalo City. The study aims to improve the understanding of UKM groups regarding skipjack tuna processing to enhance the blue economy through technopreneurship soft skills training.
Method: The process of making skipjack tuna rolls began with coordination with the UKM group members. This was followed by a socialization session about community empowerment in producing long-lasting fish products. After the socialization, training was conducted on processing skipjack tuna and utilizing fish waste as organic fertilizer. This was done to assess the participants’ understanding of processing skipjack tuna into rolls. A Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was then held with the community and the North Leato government to discuss marketing techniques and product processing.
Practical Application: The results offer practical benefits for the SME groups in the North Leato sub-district by increasing their understanding of skipjack tuna processing training, which can help improve their income and ensure sustainability in producing skipjack tuna rolls.
Conclusion: Empowering the community around Tomini Bay, especially in the North Leato sub-district, is a strategic step in enhancing the blue economy through the development of technopreneurship soft skills. Through training and interpersonal skill development, the community can become better prepared to manage marine resources sustainably and foster creative innovation in technology-based businesses
Social Innovation for BUMDES Bicak Makmur: Sustainable Partnerships in Local Crafts Production and Marketing
Purpose: This activity aims to enhance economic independence in Bicak Village by developing local craft products from regional resources, focusing on products like knitted bags and accessories made from unique natural materials.
Method: The program employs a community partnership empowerment approach, including observation, training in production and management, and support in website creation and digital marketing to enhance local skills in production, management, and marketing.
Practical Applications: Activities include socialization and training in efficient raw material utilization and creative enhancement, financial management, website development, and digital marketing. These efforts improved production quality dan marketing capabilities, enabling participants to expand their market reach through digital platforms effectively.
Conclusion: Bicak Village faces challenges in expanding market reach for local crafts and limited production and material management skills. This community service program provides solutions through training in production, management, and digital marketing via social media
Tourism development strategy in Jember Regency: Islamic economic perspective
Purpose: This study aims to analyze the development of the tourism sector in Jember Regency through a Sharia economic perspective, addressing the challenges hindering optimal growth despite the region's rich potential in religious, cultural, and natural tourism. The research identifies key issues in current tourism management and explores how Islamic economic principles can contribute to sustainable and inclusive development. The significance lies in integrating Sharia-compliant strategies into regional tourism planning, offering an alternative model for economic empowerment in predominantly Muslim regions.
Method: A qualitative descriptive approach is employed, supported by SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis to evaluate internal and external factors affecting tourism development in Jember Regency. Data were collected through field observations, interviews with local stakeholders, and document reviews. The analytical framework integrates Sharia economic principles with strategic planning tools to assess viable pathways for halal tourism development.
Practical Applications: The findings provide actionable strategies for policymakers and local communities, including the promotion of halal tourism, empowerment of Sharia-based micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), improvement of tourism infrastructure, digitalization of promotional efforts, and utilization of Sharia finance for investment. These measures are expected to enhance tourism competitiveness while fostering inclusive economic growth aligned with Islamic values.
Conclusion: The study concludes that integrating Sharia economic principles into tourism development offers a sustainable and ethically grounded approach to regional progress in Jember Regency. By leveraging its unique potentials through halal tourism and Islamic financial mechanisms, the region can achieve not only economic resilience but also social inclusivity, contributing to a broader understanding of faith-based sustainable development in Indonesia’s local economies
