Intercultural Competence in Translation Education: A Systematic Literature Review
Translation education frequently emphasizes the importance of intercultural competence for successful translation practice. However, research specifically exploring intercultural competence within translation education contexts remains fragmented. This study examines the main research topics investigating intercultural competence in translation education, explores the predominant research methods used in existing studies, and identifies the gaps that remain in current research. Based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) 2020 guidelines, a systematic literature review was conducted, including 28 peer-reviewed journal articles indexed in Web of Science and Scopus, published up to 6 February 2025. The synthesis identifies two key research topics: (i) the importance of intercultural competence in translation education, and (ii) the development of intercultural competence in translation education. Existing studies employ a range of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods, reflecting methodological diversity but also highlighting limitations. Significant gaps in the existing research include (i) gaps in theoretical frameworks and practical applications, and (ii) limitations in research methods. This review highlights the importance of addressing these gaps through further research, developing systematic models, conducting multilingual studies, and better integrating intercultural competence into translation education. This is vital to promote translation education and prepare culturally competent translators to meet global challenges

Green HRM and Employee Green Behavior: Mediating Roles of Green Organizational Identity and Green Self-Efficacy
Achieving the dual-carbon goals has been a critical strategy to promote the green sustainability and the ecological progress. Employee green behavior (EGB) is regard as one of the key factors to achieve the green sustainability, and Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) plays an important role in promoting EGB in the organization. Based on Social Cognitive Theory (SCT) and Ability-Motivation-Opportunity (AMO), the impact of GHRM on EGB by taking Green Organizational Identity (GOI) and Green Self-Efficacy (GSE) as the mediating variables is studied in this paper. The results of the analysis with the survey data from 587 employees in the Chinese hotel industry reveal that both GOI and GSE indirectly effect EGB, while GHRM directly enhances EGB in the hotel industry. Furthermore, the analysis results also show that GOI and GSE serve as partial mediators in the relationship between GHRM and EGB. In addition, the analysis results also highlight that GOI plays an important role in fostering the employee environmental responsibility while GSE effectively encourage employees to take green behaviors. This study provides the theoretical and practical insights for the organizations seeking to fostering EGB via GHRM, underlining the role of psychological mechanisms in shaping the green behavior

Enhancing Pedagogical Teaching in Forestry and Environmental Science Through Ecopark in Ifugao: A Case Study
The field-based learning in an ecopark also known as Ecological Trail and Reservation Site of Indigenous Trees (ECOTRIS) located in Ifugao State University, Philippines, plays an essential role in evolving pedagogical teaching, particularly in forestry and environmental science. This case study examines how ECOTRIS serves as a dynamic, hands-on learning environment, fostering experiential education in key areas such as morphology, taxonomy and dendrology, biodiversity conservation, climate change mitigation, and sustainable land use practices. ECOTRIS, with its diverse ecosystem of indigenous trees, wetlands, and endemic species, offers students a real-world setting to apply theoretical knowledge and advance practical skills in sustainable management in forestry and environmental science. One of the most important contributions of ECOTRIS is the integration of real life identification of trees in the field into the teaching curriculum. This allows for a holistic approach to education, where traditional classroom simulation practices and sustainable forest management techniques are explored alongside modern scientific concepts. The site also provides a unique platform for studying the relationship between forest ecosystems and soil health, facilitating lessons on pedology, erosion control, and the role of trees in nutrient cycling and carbon sequestration. ECOTRIS is also instrumental in teaching students about biodiversity conservation, serving as a refuge for various endemic and endangered species. Using quantitative methods (correlation analysis) and qualitative feedback, results reveal that ECOTRIS-based learning significantly improves student performance, engagement, and comprehension of biodiversity and sustainability
The Relationship between Locus of Control and Decision-Making among Undergraduate Students
The present study investigates the relationship between the locus of control and decision-making among undergraduate students. The research sample comprises 200 Cognitive Science students from the Universiti Malaysia Sarawak; it consists of an equal number of male and female students and first-year and final-year students. Two instruments were used to assess the participants: the Levenson Locus of Control Scale and the “How Good Is Your Decision-Making?” Scale. The findings reveal higher scores for male students in decision-making and internal locus of control, while females demonstrated higher external locus of control scores. A positive correlation was also observed between the internal locus of control and the effectiveness of decision-making processes. However, no significant difference was found in locus of control and decision-making abilities between first-year and final-year students. This indicates that these traits remain relatively stable across academic progression. The present study highlights the importance of nurturing an internal locus of control, especially in an academic setting, to enhance students’ decision-making abilities and overall psychological well-being. These findings offer insights into strategies that could be practical for reinforcing students’ internal locus of control while also enhancing their decision-making abilities
