    Kajian Rintis Pembangunan Modul Pembelajaran Berasaskan Masalah Bagi Mata Pelajaran Ekonomi Tingkatan Empat

    Kajian ini bertujuan untuk membangunkan modul pembelajaran berasaskan masalah (PBM-ECO), menentukan kesahan dan kebolehpercayaan modul dalam merangsang kemahiran menyelesaikan masalah pelajar tingkatan empat dalam mata pelajaran Ekonomi. Modul ini telah dibina berteraskan model ADDIE merangkumi analisis, reka bentuk, pembangunan, implimentasi dan penilaian. Reka bentuk kajian ini berbentuk deskriptif dengan mengaplikasikan pendekatan kuantitatif. Instrumen borang soal selidik digunakan bagi menguji kesahan kandungan modul dan kebolehpercayaan. Seramai lapan orang pakar penilai yang terdiri daripada pensyarah universiti awam dan guru pakar terlibat dalam kesahan modul. Kebolehpercayaan modul diukur melalui pelaksanaan kajian rintis dalam kalangan 30 orang pelajar tingkatan empat Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Tun Mutahir, Melaka. Skor Alpha Cronbach yang diperoleh untuk kesahan modul ialah 0.97 menunjukkan bahawa penilaian pakar terhadap kesahan modul ini adalah tinggi. Manakala untuk kebolehpercayaan ialah 0.86 membuktikan respon positif diterima daripada pelajar berkaitan kebolehpercayaan modul adalah tinggi. Dapatan ini membuktikan bahawa modul PBM-ECO ini boleh dipraktikkan bagi meningkatkan kemahiran menyelesaikan masalah dalam mata pelajaran Ekonomi

    Overview of Mobile Fitness Applications on Physical and Mental Health of Chinese Obese College Students

    This research mainly conducts a comprehensive literature review on the specific impacts of mobile fitness applications on the physical and mental well-being of obese college students. Obesity, as a global epidemic, poses a significant threat to the health of college students, both physically and mentally. The research hopes to offer novel insights into addressing this issue by examining the potential of mobile fitness applications. It begins by outlining the prevalence of obesity and related psychological issues such as depression and anxiety, emphasizing the high obesity rate and low physical activity participation among college students. Following that, the article reviews the definition, functionality, and global popularity of mobile fitness applications, analyzing their potential in promoting healthy behavior change and enhancing physical activity engagement. Studies have shown that mobile fitness apps, through functions like tracking and analyzing fitness data, providing personalized guidance, and fostering online communities, can positively impact obese college students' physical and mental health. Nevertheless, current research on the effectiveness of mobile fitness apps remains insufficient, necessitating further studies to determine the most effective application features and develop personalized interventions tailored to diverse user needs. The article concludes by suggesting that future research should focus on optimizing app functionalities and fostering sustained user engagement to foster long-term improvements in the physical and mental health of obese college students

    Predicting Organizational Performance Through Digital Design Tool Adoption in Chinese Graphic Design Agencies

    This research examines creating a model that would forecast the organizational performance of the top Chinese graphic design agencies, given that they have adopted digital design tools. Accordingly, it posits Perceived Attributes of Digital Design Tools (PADDT), Organizational Readiness Factors (ORF), and External Environment Influences (EEI) as independent variables. At the same time, Employee Acceptance of Digital Tools (EADT) and Changes to Workflows and Processes (CWP) are the mediator variables. Also, Organization Size (OS) is tested as a control variable. This study adopted a quantitative research method to obtain data from 432 graphic design professionals in China, and SEM analysis was used to test the relationships between the constructs. This study established organizational readiness and external influence using digital tools to improve organizational performance. This research fills the gap in the current literature by offering a detailed theoretical framework that incorporates both technology acceptance theories and recommendations for practical use in industries. The findings provided are valid policy prescriptions for managers planning to enhance organizational output by harnessing the power of technology tools

    Community-based Tourism in Sustainable Tourism: Towards a Conceptual Framework

This research zeroes in on the key consensus of CBT within the context of sustainable development. By conducting a comprehensive review and analysis of relevant CBT literature and leveraging the analysis of community development, this paper endeavors to establish a CBT conceptual framework oriented towards the goal of sustainable tourism. This framework aims to thoroughly investigate the key dimensions of CBT and its multifarious impacts on sustainable tourism. Theoretically, the framework contributes to integrating and extending the contents associated with community participation and sustainable development within existing theories. Practically, it offers guidance to communities and tourism developers in project planning, benefit balancing, damage prevention, sustainable development achievement, as well as the formulation of rational community participation strategies and mechanisms. Consequently, it promotes the harmonious coexistence of tourism and the community. Future research can further examine the applicability of this framework in the sustainability of community development and rural tourism development

This comparative analysis examines the regulatory frameworks governing cryptocurrency in these three nations, highlighting the unique approaches adopted by each country in response to the challenges and opportunities presented by digital currencies. Singapore is recognized for its progressive regulatory stance, which aims to foster innovation while ensuring consumer protection and financial stability. In contrast, Malaysia has implemented a more cautious approach, focusing on establishing a comprehensive legal framework that addresses the complexities of cryptocurrency transactions and their implications for the financial system. Meanwhile, Indonesia's regulatory landscape is characterized by a mix of enthusiasm for blockchain technology and concerns regarding potential risks, leading to a somewhat fragmented regulatory environment. This study employs a qualitative methodology, analysing primary and secondary data sources to assess the effectiveness of these regulatory frameworks in promoting cryptocurrency adoption while mitigating associated risks. The findings reveal that while Singapore's model may serve as a benchmark for regulatory best practices, Malaysia and Indonesia face distinct challenges that necessitate tailored regulatory solutions. Ultimately, this research contributes to the understanding of how regulatory frameworks can shape the cryptocurrency landscape in Southeast Asia, offering insights for policymakers and stakeholders navigating this dynamic market

    Keberkesanan Kaedah Hafalan Fakta dan Pembentangan Murid Tahfiz Terhadap Pencapaian Subjek Sejarah

    Subjek Sejarah merupakan subjek wajib lulus Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia sewajarnya semua pihak dapat memainkan peranan penting dalam meningkatkan pencapaian subjek ini. Justeru, terdapat pelbagai kaedah pembelajaran berkesan yang perlu dilaksanakan guru terhadap murid melalui kaedah berpusatkan guru mahupun secara berpusatkan murid. Ini kerana kaedah berpusatkan guru dalam pembelajaran Sejarah sering dikaitkan dengan kaedah menghafal fakta manakala kaedah berpusatkan murid pula berkait dengan pelaksanaan pembentangan oleh murid tahfiz di dalam kelas. Oleh itu, wujud keperluan di dalam kajian kes ini yang bertujuan mengenal pasti tahap keberkesanan kaedah hafalan fakta dan pembentangan murid tahfiz terhadap pencapaian subjek Sejarah. Kajian kes ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif sepenuhnya. Seramai 10 orang murid dilibatkan sebagai informan kajian. Informan kajian ini terdiri daripada pelbagai umur dan jantina serta tahap pendidikan yang berbeza. Laporan diperoleh melalui temu bual, pemerhatian dan analisa dokumen. Hasil kajian melalui temu bual, pemerhatian dan analisa dokumen membuktikan peningkatan pencapaian subjek Sejarah murid tahfiz adalah dengan menggunakan kaedah hafalan fakta dan pembentangan yang berkesan. Pengkaji mendapati penggunaan kaedah pembelajaran yang berkesan penting di dalam kelas kerana dapat memberi impak terhadap pencapaian akademik murid. Melalui kajian ini, usaha murid juga penting bagi memperoleh pencapaian subjek Sejarah yang baik. Tindakan sedemikian patut dilaksanakan bagi melancarkan proses pembelajaran dan memudahkan pemahaman murid terhadap subjek Sejarah. Implikasi kajian ini menyediakan maklumat kepada guru-guru Sejarah untuk melihat keberkesanan kaedah pembelajaran yang sesuai

    Pembelajaran berasaskan komuniti adalah salah satu pendekatan yang melibatkan murid dan komuniti dalam proses pembelajaran. Pendekatan ini dilihat sangat hampir dengan hasrat yang dinyatakan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia melalui Panduan Pelaksanaan STEM dalam Pengajaran dan Pembelajaran. Sebuah kajian berbentuk sorotan literatur berstruktur dilaksanakan sebagai usaha mengetahui lebih lanjut pelaksanaan pembelajaran berasaskan komuniti dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran STEM kepada murid sekolah menengah di Malaysia disamping mengenal pasti kelebihannya. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) berdasarkan penggunaan kata kunci umum beserta field codes dan operator dan kepada pangkalan data Scopus dan Web of Science (WoS). Justeru, kajian telah menggunakan kriteria seperti 5 tahun terkini, akses terbuka, artikel jurnal, medium Bahasa Inggeris, bidang kajian dan dilaksanakan di Malaysia. Sebanyak 5 artikel akhir dipilih untuk dianalisa secara lebih lanjut untuk mengenal pasti pendekatan yang digunakan dan kelebihan melaksanakan pembelajaran berasaskan komuniti. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan terdapat jurang yang besar dalam jumlah penyelidikan berkaitan pembelajaran berasaskan komuniti di Malaysia. Walaupun begitu, rujukan akademik sedia ada yang membuktikan bahawa pendekatan ini mampu memberikan impak positif dan boleh dilaksanakan dalam iklim pendidikan di Malaysia. Antaranya kelebihan pembelajaran berasaskan komuniti adalah murid dapat mempraktikkan pengetahuan dan kemahiran secara terus kepada situasi dunia sebenar, murid diberi autonomi dalam menentukan hasil pembelajaran, meningkatkan kemahiran interpersonal, berpeluang meneroka pengetahuan baharu serta menambah keyakinan diri murid. Justeru, lebih banyak penyelidikan perlu dilaksanakan di samping penyediaan modul rujukan dalam membantu pelaksanaan pembelajaran berasaskan komuniti dalam pendidikan STEM sekolah menengah di Malaysia

    Academic Performance and Predictors of the Licensure Examination for Teachers of the Bachelor of Elementary Education

    This study was conducted to determine the academic performance and predictors of the licensure examination for teachers of the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) of Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College Sta Maria Campus, Philippines, during four consecutive years from 2016 to 2019. This descriptive correlational study involved 299 student takers who took the yearly September Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET). The student’s official transcript of records was used to determine their academic performance in general and professional education courses/subjects, while the LET results were analyzed to identify the relationship between academic performance and LET results in general and professional education. Findings revealed that academic performance in general and professional education courses was "very good." A relationship existed between academic performance in general and professional education courses and LET results. General education courses/subjects such as English, Math, Science, and Social Studies and professional education courses/subjects like Theory and Concepts and Methods/strategies were predictors of the licensure examination. However, English is a best predictor. Generally, students performed well in their academics. The higher the academic grades the better chance of passing the licensure examination. The institutional LET passing percentage is consistently higher than the national passing percentage. The repeaters dragged the national passing percentage down. The overall performance of the graduates during their licensure examination is dependent on how the college equipped the students in taking the said examination

    The Private Undergraduate Colleges in China: The Development, Challenges and Opportunities

    The structure of private undergraduate colleges in China can be confusing because it includes two distinct types: Independent Colleges and Minban Undergraduate Colleges. Research on their development, challenges, and opportunities remains limited. This study uses qualitative document analysis to examine the history, challenges, and prospects of private undergraduate colleges. The findings show that Independent Colleges, which emerged during the late 20th century under the Open-Door Policy, grew quickly but faced criticism for disrupting the balance with Minban Undergraduate Colleges. In response, the Chinese government implemented policies to transform Independent Colleges and support the growth of Minban Undergraduate Colleges, creating a fairer and more competitive environment. Despite these improvements, private undergraduate colleges still face challenges such as funding shortages, limited research capacity, and high faculty turnover. However, changing market conditions and supportive policies offer significant opportunities for growth. This study provides useful insights for policymakers and educators, highlighting the potential of private undergraduate colleges to strengthen China’s higher education system and meet the needs of a rapidly changing economy

    Sekolah merupakan organisasi yang mengoperasikan sistem pendidikan berdasarkan ketetapan dasar seragam dan standard piawaian yang ditentukan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM). Akan tetapi, sumber manusia dalam sesebuah sekolah yang terdiri daripada pemimpin, anggota pentadbiran, guru-guru dan kakitangan, mempunyai perbezaan dari segi latar belakang, taraf pendidikan, pengalaman kerja dan corak pemikiran. Perbezaan ini boleh mewujudkan konflik, yang sekiranya tidak ditangani dengan baik, akan mengganggu pengurusan dan pencapaian sekolah. Objektif artikel ini adalah untuk menganalisis teori dua dimensi pengurusan konflik, amalan kepimpinan transformasi dan amalan kepimpinan distributif, seterusnya mensintesiskan dimensi yang bersesuaian untuk diaplikasikan dalam situasi konflik. Metod yang digunakan adalah melalui pengumpulan literatur (data sekunder) daripada pelbagai sumber ilmiah. Analisis menunjukkan bahawa kepimpinan transformasi dan kepimpinan distributif dapat diaplikasikan dalam pengurusan konflik dengan syarat pengetua bijak menyesuaikannya dengan situasi konflik yang berlaku. Implikasi daripada artikel ini akan dapat memberi idea kepada penggubal polisi dalam usaha menganjurkan latihan yang bersesuaian dengan tujuan untuk menambahbaik kualiti kepimpinan di sekolah yang seterusnya akan turut membantu pemimpin menangani isu yang wujud di bawah kepimpinan mereka. Selain itu, penulisan artikel ini dapat memberikan sumbangan yang bermakna terhadap bidang pendidikan dengan membantu pengetua dalam memilih amalan kepimpinan yang tepat bagi menguruskan konflik di sekolah
