Future studies should provide a framework for halal traceability in BB Glow treatment as a cosmetic service
Effects of a Career Development Intervention Module on Gender, Income Level, and Academic Performance in Saudi Arabia
This study investigates the impact of a career development intervention module on career maturity, career indecision, and career decision-making self-efficacy among high school students in Saudi Arabia, with a focus on gender, income level, and academic achievement. Utilizing a quasi-experimental design, the research employed pre- and post-surveys to assess the effectiveness of the intervention. The sample consisted of 40 students (20 males and 20 females) from two public schools in Medina. Results indicated significant improvements in career maturity (pre-survey mean = 31.37, post-survey mean = 40.52; t-value = 10.08, p < 0.01), career indecision (pre-survey mean = 70.78, post-survey mean = 80.30; t-value = 3.21, p < 0.05), and career decision-making self-efficacy (pre-survey mean = 91.20, post-survey mean = 97.80; t-value = 3.505, p < 0.05) following the intervention. However, multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) revealed no statistically significant differences in the intervention's effects based on gender or family income (p > 0.05). The findings suggest that career development interventions can significantly enhance students' career readiness, irrespective of socioeconomic or gender factors. This study contributes to the growing body of literature on career development in the Middle Eastern context and provides empirical evidence for the implementation of culturally relevant career guidance programs in Saudi Arabia

The Tradition of Paternal Education in Jia’s Mansion in The Dream of the Red Chamber
This study examines the transmission and transformation of paternal educational traditions within the Jia family as portrayed in The Dream of the Red Chamber. By focusing on three generations—Jia Daishan, Jia Zheng, and Jia Baoyu—the research analyzes the evolution of parenting models, intergenerational dynamics, and conflicts within the framework of Confucian values and late feudal Chinese society. Through textual analysis, comparative study, and sociocultural contextualization, the findings reveal that while Jia Zheng’s strict adherence to Confucian ideals embodies the preservation of traditional values, Baoyu’s resistance underscores the growing tension between individual aspirations and established norms. The study concludes that paternal education functions both as a medium for transmitting cultural values and as a source of conflict, illustrating the intricate interplay between tradition and individuality. This analysis highlights the importance of balancing cultural heritage and personal development in the face of societal change
Non-Communicable Diseases Among Orang Asli in Malaysia: A Scoping Review of Prevalence and Associated Factors
Non-communicable diseases (NCDs), including cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, chronic respiratory diseases, and cancer, pose significant public health challenges globally and in Malaysia. The Orang Asli, an indigenous community in Malaysia, faces unique health challenges due to socioeconomic disparities and lifestyle changes. This scoping review synthesizes existing literature on the prevalence and determinants of NCDs among the Orang Asli, aiming to identify research gaps and inform public health strategies. We conducted a systematic search across databases including PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar, and Web of Science, identifying 15 relevant studies from an initial pool of 573 records, following PRISMA guidelines. The review reveals significant variability in the prevalence of hypertension (3.3% to 57.2%), diabetes mellitus (0.8% to 25%), and dyslipidaemia (1.5% to 41.4%) among the Orang Asli. Other conditions such as gout and asthma were noted with prevalences of 2.7% and 0.4%, respectively. Factors associated with NCD prevalence include older age, female gender, lower education levels, poor dietary habits, physical inactivity, smoking, obesity, genetic predispositions, and the impacts of urbanization and modernization. Addressing the NCD burden requires multifaceted strategies, including culturally sensitive health promotion, improved healthcare access, and the preservation of traditional practices. This review underscores the urgent need for targeted interventions to mitigate the rising NCD burden in this vulnerable population

This study addresses the research problem of understanding preschool language education goals across different cultural contexts, focusing on China, Malaysia, and Japan. The objectives are to identify commonalities and differences in their goals and to provide targeted recommendations for improving preschool language education. Using a content analysis approach, the study reveals shared goals among the three countries, including fostering children's language application, diverse expression, and early literacy development. However, significant differences are evident: China emphasizes developing language habits, Malaysia prioritizes the systematic acquisition of language skills, and Japan focuses on nurturing emotional expression. Based on these findings, the study offers tailored recommendations for each country. The conclusions highlight the need for preschool language education to consider national contexts and educational practices more comprehensively and call for further research into the impact of curriculum implementation and coherence on language education outcomes
Malaysian Media and Public Service Perspective on Food Security and Food Terrorism During the Pandemic
Food security remains a global concern and with the recent health crisis in the form of a pandemic has unleashed the lack of awareness and understanding of the public, media included, on food security, especially with the potential of threats towards food security in the form of food terrorism. With that in mind, there is thus a growing necessity to analyse the understanding of media and public service personnel on food security in Malaysia where it will deliberate on the perspectives of media and public service personnel on food security policy and threats of food terrorism. By employing the phenomenology approach, significant findings were derived from conducting in-depth interviews with a sample size of 6 media and public service personnel experts in food security and food terrorism. The data was collected concurrently, and the data analysis was conducted using the thematic analysis approach. It was found that both media and public service personnel managed to have basic understanding on food security elements albeit with adequate knowledge and comprehension on its policies, framework and approach. Furthermore, although quite foreign with the term, the informants felt that food terrorism has the ability to pose threats to the country if the threats are taken lightly. Essentially, food security may be employed as this country's firewall to prevent food terrorism threats, with the public to be sensitized on the subject of food terrorism first. Government must also optimize new media to protect this country's food security as well as prevention of food terrorism threats

These insights have important implications for educational policy, teacher training, and curriculum design in music education
Unmasking the Silent Crisis: How Socioeconomic and Cultural Forces Perpetuate Multidimensional Child Poverty in Tanzania
This paper systematically reviews the literature on multidimensional child poverty to provide insight into the socio-economic and cultural factors behind it in Tanzania. Recognising the pressing need to understand child-specific deprivations, the study has employed a structured methodology based on the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The review process aimed to search for terms using the Population, Interventions, Comparison and Outcome (PICO) framework, which included keywords such as “child poverty”, “multidimensional child poverty”, “child deprivation”, and “multidimensional child deprivation”. The paper sourced data from two high-impact databases, Web of Science and Scopus. To ensure rigour in the selection, we followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework, narrowing down an initial set of 427 publications to 238 by applying filters on duplicates, relevance, and publication date to reduce this number to only 238. These were supplemented with 16 reports from the United Republic of Tanzania, the United Nations, the World Health Organization, and the World Bank to ensure a comprehensive view of the subject. Using thematic analysis, this review summarised household composition, traditional gender roles, parental education, household income inequalities, and rural-urban differences as the main factors affecting multidimensional child poverty from the selected studies. These findings highlight the diverse determinants of multidimensional child poverty in Tanzania, identifying a necessity for tailored intervention integrating socio-economic and cultural factors to address this persistent issue
