ETHICAL IMPLICATIONS OF OUTSOURCING AND OFFSHORING IN GLOBAL BUSINESS PRACTICES: IMPACTS ON LOCAL ECONOMIES, LABOR RIGHTS, AND THE ENVIRONMENT [IMPLIKASI ETIS DARI OUTSOURCING DAN OFFSHORING DALAM PRAKTIK BISNIS GLOBAL: DAMPAKNYA TERHADAP EKONOMI LOKAL, HAK PEKERJA, DAN LINGKUNGAN]
Outsourcing and offshoring are critical international business strategies for enhancing cost efficiency and expanding global markets. However, these practices carry significant ethical implications, particularly concerning local economies, labor rights, and environmental standards. While offshoring can stimulate economic growth in developing countries by creating jobs and transferring technology, it often results in economic inequality, labor exploitation, and environmental degradation. Additionally, outsourcing frequently involves violations of labor rights, such as low wages and poor working conditions, as well as negative environmental impacts due to weaker regulations in host countries. This study aims to explore the ethical impacts of outsourcing and offshoring, and the role of regulatory mechanisms and ethical guidelines in mitigating the negative effects of these practices
IDENTIFIKASI FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN SISTEM PELAYANAN DALAM PEMILIHAN PENOLONG PERSALINAN DI PUSKESMAS MUARA JERNIH KABUPATEN MERANGIN JAMBI [SERVICE FACTORS INFLUENCING THE CHOICE OF BIRTH ATTENDANTS AT MUARA JERNIH HEALTH CENTRE, JAMBI]
Maternal and infant mortality in Indonesia remains high due to limited use of professional birth attendants. In Merangin, Jambi, many still prefer traditional birth helpers despite available healthcare. This study explored service-related factors influencing pregnant women’s choice at Muara Jernih Health Centre. Using a quantitative survey on 73 respondents, data were analysed through T-tests, F-tests, and regression. Findings showed knowledge, attitudes, and family support significantly affect choices (p 0.05). Though most received professional advice, 34.2% still used traditional attendants. Cultural factors and service quality also play roles. Strengthening education, family involvement, and local health services is vital to improve outcomes

Multinational corporations (MNCs) face various challenges when operating in developing countries, particularly regarding varying legal frameworks, cultural differences, and complex ethical issues. In these environments, companies must ensure compliance with international laws while respecting local customs. The biggest challenges include differences in data privacy regulations, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) in the United States. Additionally, significant cultural differences in communication styles and business etiquette between high-context and low-context cultures complicate operations. Ethical issues, such as gift-giving or facilitation payments that are considered unethical under international standards, add to the dilemma. Therefore, multinational companies must develop robust compliance policies, enhance cultural intelligence, and ensure adherence to global ethical principles to succeed in international markets
PEMBERDAYAAN PELAKU USAHA IKAN PATIN MELALUI IMPLEMENTASI DIGITAL SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT DI KECAMATAN 13 KOTO KAMPAR [EMPOWERING PATIN FISH BUSINESS ACTORS THROUGH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF DIGITAL SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT IN DISTRICT 13 KOTO KAMPAR]
This Community Service Program aims to enhance the capacity of patin fish business actors in District 13 Koto Kampar through the adoption of digital technology in production recording, supply chain management, and market information utilization. The main problems faced by the partners include inaccurate manual recording, inefficiencies in distribution, and limited access to data and market opportunities. To address these challenges, the program was carried out through a series of training sessions, technical assistance, demonstrations of digital application usage, and evaluations conducted before and after the activities. The implementation methods focused on improving participants’ skills in adopting digital recording systems, understanding modern supply chain–based distribution flows, and utilizing market information to increase competitiveness. The evaluation results indicate a significant increase in competencies across all measured aspects. The average pre-test and post-test scores improved in Digital Production Recording (from 58 to 84), Supply Chain Management (from 55 to 82), and Market Information Utilization (from 52 to 80). This improvement reflects the success of the program in strengthening the participants’ digital capacities and enhancing the operational efficiency of their businesses. Overall, the program provides positive impacts on the digitalization of local fisheries enterprises while building a stronger foundation for the development of sustainable marketing and distribution strategies

PENGARUH RELASI GURU-SISWA DAN MOTIVASI BERPRESTASI TERHADAP SELF REGULATED LEARNING PADA SISWA SD KELAS ATAS DI SD MUHAMMADIYAH 1 SIDOARJO
Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi pengaruh relasi guru-siswa dan motivasi berprestasi terhadap Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) siswa kelas atas di SD Muhammadiyah 1 Sidoarjo. Dengan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional, sampel sebanyak 207 siswa dianalisis menggunakan skala STRS, motivasi berprestasi Schunk, dan SRL Zimmerman. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa relasi guru-siswa dan motivasi berprestasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap SRL, dengan relasi guru-siswa memberikan kontribusi lebih besar. SRL terbukti penting untuk meningkatkan pengaturan waktu belajar, perencanaan, dan evaluasi diri siswa. Hubungan positif antara guru dan siswa, serta motivasi tinggi, mendukung perkembangan SRL secara optimal. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan strategis bagi pengembangan metode pembelajaran di pendidikan dasar yang berfokus pada penguatan relasi guru-siswa dan motivasi berprestasi guna meningkatkan kemandirian belajar dan prestasi akademik siswa
THE EFFECT OF WAGES, WORK FACILITIES, AND OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH SYSTEMS ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE AT PT BOCOROCCO TANGERANG
This study aims to analyze the effect of wages, work facilities, and occupational safety and health systems on employee performance at PT Bocorocco Tangerang. Employee performance is an important factor that affects the productivity and success of the company. In this study, the independent variables tested include wages, work facilities, and occupational safety and health, while the dependent variable is employee performance. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach using data obtained through questionnaires distributed to 78 employees of PT Bocorocco Tangerang. Data analysis was carried out using SEM PLS, to determine the extent to which each independent variable affects employee performance. The results of the study indicate that wages, work facilities, and occupational safety and health have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. These findings indicate that increasing fair wages, adequate work facilities, and attention to occupational safety and health can increase employee motivation and productivity. Therefore, companies are expected to pay more attention to these aspects to improve employee performance and support the achievement of company goals
ECOLOGICAL AND SOCIOECONOMIC IMPORTANCE OF MANGROVE ECOSYSTEMS: A CASE STUDY OF MUAR JOHOR, MALAYSIA [PENTINGNYA EKOSISTEM MANGROVE SECARA EKOLOGIS DAN SOSIAL EKONOMI: STUDI KASUS DI MUAR JOHOR, MALAYSIA]
Mangrove ecosystems in Muar Johor play a critical role in maintaining coastal stability, biodiversity, and supporting local livelihoods. This study explores the ecological characteristics, threats, and conservation efforts surrounding the mangrove forests in the Johor River Estuary, Malaysia. The report examines the current condition of the mangrove areas, the species found within, and the challenges faced by the ecosystem. Additionally, it discusses the economic importance of mangroves, including their role in aquaculture, traditional fisheries, and ecotourism. The paper concludes with recommendations for improved conservation strategies and multi-stakeholder collaboration to protect these vital ecosystems
STRUKTUR LANSKAP PERENCANAAN PERKOTAAN DAN BUDAYA MELAYU DI JOHOR BAHRU, MALAYSIA: SEBUAH TINJAUAN [LANDSCAPE STRUCTURE OF URBAN PLANNING AND MALAY CULTURE IN JOHOR BAHRU, MALAYSIA: A REVIEW]
Landscape structure of green open spaces, urban forests, micro climate, comfort level, wildlife diversity, and malay culture are still under studied and the studies generally still focus on the aspect of urban planning. The quality of green open spaces and the comfort level of urban population will be better if the management of open spaces can be realized. This review article aims to measure the landscape structure and culture diversity and assess the correlation between the landscape structure and the comfort level of green open spaces in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. This observation review was carried out on several urban open space, urban forests, wildlife diversity sample unit and in depth interview. The result of this review article shows that on average, each the green open space in Johor Bahru has patch size of 6.78 hectares; the number of edges are 1962,04 meters; the edge density are 9,36 meters/hectare; the mean shape index are 2,75 and the mean patch fractal dimension are 1,41. The diversity of birds in Johor Bahru at whole green open space scales is low that is 0,28 in which the highest diversity index found in urban forests and yards is 0.37 while the lowest at 0.14 green line. From the eleven variables, there are five correlated variables which are mean patch size (X1), mean patch fractal dimension (X5), light intensity (Y3), the comfort index (Y4), and the percentage of canopy closure (Y5). The comfort index correlates the strongest than the rest of variables. Benefits of this research are to obtain information about the importance of determining the landscape structure of green open space that is appropriate to fix the comfort level and provide recommendations for policymakers and related institutions in developing the city
STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN KETERAMPILAN KOMUNIKATIF DALAM MATA KULIAH AL-QURAN DAN HADIS PADA MAHASISWA BARU STAI AL-FURQAN MAKASSAR [STRATEGY OF DEVELOPING COMMUNICATIVE SKILLS IN THE COURSE OF AL-QURAN AND HADITH FOR NEW STUDENTS OF STAI AL-FURQAN MAKASSAR]
Communication skills are a crucial element in the learning process, particularly in the subjects of Qur'an and Hadith, which emphasize not only cognitive aspects but also the internalization of spiritual and moral values.This study aims to examine strategies for developing communication skills in the teaching of Qur'an and Hadith among first-year students at STAI Al-Furqan Makassar. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a literature review method. Data were collected through the analysis of various relevant sources, including books, journal articles, and previous studies discussing communication in Islamic education. The results indicate that active learning strategies such as group discussions, question-and-answer sessions, presentations, role-playing, the use of digital media, and peer teaching are effective in enhancing students’ communication skills. These strategies not only support the delivery of teaching material but also align with Islamic communication values that emphasize ethics, wisdom, and courtesy. Supporting factors in the development of communication skills include lecturer competence, a supportive learning environment, and the availability of learning media. Conversely, inhibiting factors include the dominance of lecture-based methods, low student self-confidence, and limited facilities and infrastructure. The conclusion of this study affirms that communication skills in Qur'an and Hadith instruction must be developed through holistic and adaptive strategies. Lecturers play a crucial role in creating a dialogic and constructive learning climate, while also serving as role models in communication. With proper communication development, students will not only gain a deeper understanding of the subject matter but also be prepared to become critical, communicative, and morally upright Muslim individuals
