    According to several researches on the number of cases of duodenal ulcers, these conditions are believed to affect 5 to 15% of the general population. While dyspepsia is among the most common accompanying symptom of duodenal ulcers, the presentation can range in severity, including gastrointestinal bleeding, gastric outlet obstruction, perforation, or fistula development. This whole entity compared as Parinama Shoola is an Avaranjanya Tridoshaja Vyadhi caused by Vata vitiation, which causes avarana in Kapha and Pitta. It worsens during meal digestion and 3-4 hours after food intake when it gets to the intestines. In modern science, there are drugs for symptomatic relief in the treatment of ulcers (Parinama Shula) that have severe adverse consequences over time. In the Current era, there is a critical need to protect the microbiota of the gut as well as digestive health through the use of Ayurvedic formulations both for preventive and therapeutic purposes. Finally, it is discussed the use of one of the Ayurveda Formulation “Samudradya Churna” with respect to its role in health and disease.     A Comparative Clinical Study to Evaluate the Effect of Haritakyadi Kwatha and Eladi Churna in the Management of Pittaj Mutrakrichha w.s.r. to Urinary Tract Infection

    Mutrakrichha is a disorder of Mutravahastrotas, The term ‘Mutrakrichha’ means pain and difficulty during passage of urine. Vitiated Pitta and Pratiloma Gati of Apana Vayu are considered to be the two major factors for the pathogenesis of the disease “Mutrakrichha”. The symptoms of Pittaj Mutrakrichha such as Saruja/Krichha Mutrapravrutti (dysuria), Sarakta Mutrata (haematuria), Sadaha Mutrata (burning micturition), Muhurmuhu Mutrapravrutti (increased frequency or urgency of micturition) are coincide with the symptoms of lower urinary tract infection. Clinical presentation of Pittaj Mutrakṛichha shows close resemblance to UTI\u27s as described in modern texts especially with lower urinary tract infections i.e., Urethritis and Cystitis. Globally UTI affect 150 million people worldwide annually. Urinary tract infection is a broad term that encompasses both asymptomatic microbial colonization of the urine and symptomatic infection with microbial invasion and inflammation of urinary tract. E.coli is the most common causative organism to cause UTI. 32 patients who were diagnosed with Pittaj Mutrakrichha w.s.r to urinary tract infection were allocated randomly into two groups. The trial drugs i.e., Haritakyadi Kwatha 50ml was given to 16 patients of group-I and Eladi Churna 3gm was given to 16 patients of group-II for duration of 4 weeks

    The administration of processed gold to children is a unique method described in Ayurveda as "Swarnaprashana" by Acharya Kashyapa thousands of years ago. He clearly discussed the administration of Swarna (gold) in children for the benefits of boosting cognition, digestion and metabolism, physical strength, immunity, complexion, fertility, and life span. There are numerous gold formulations and even herbal medications stated by several Acharya for long-term use in children. Swarnaprashana in children is primarily associated with two Ayurvedic contexts: Lehana (supplement) and Jatakarma Samskara (newborn care). This review is an attempt to objectively assess the Ayurvedaone Swarnaprashana with available data. The mode of administration, and advantages prescribed by Susrutha Samhita are covered below, along with information from associated scientific investigations. According to this assessment, the benefits of Swarnaprashana can be obtained on a variety of levels, including as a general health promoter and specifically for improving intelligence, digestion, metabolism, immunity, physical strength, or skin health.     Ayurveda is the oldest scientific systems of medicine. Shalakya Tantra is one of the branches of Ashtanga Ayurveda which deals with the diseases arise above the clavicle region. This stream of Astanga Ayurveda mainly comprises of etiology, histopathology, symptomatology and treatment in the form of local and systemic administration related to eyes, nose, ears and mouth etc. Kriyakalpa is the treatment method usually adopted in Netra Vikaras. Netra Tarpana is one among the Kriyakalpas which is advised in many Netra rogas to normalize the vitiated Doshas. Akshi Tarpana splits into two words “Akshi” means eye and “Tarpana” means nourishment. Tarpana is a Snigdha Kriya indicated in Vata Dusta ophthalmic conditions mainly in Dristigata Rogas. It is commonly indicated in macular degeneration, computer eye strain, degenerative conditions, myasthenia gravis, drooping of eyelid. The therapeutic effect is advocated for patients suffering from diseases of eye. In healthy people Eye Care Treatment is carried out to protect the eyes from degeneration due to ageing process and to improve the eye sight.     Cerebral palsy is a disorder that affects muscle tone, movement and motor skills (the ability to move in a coordinated and purposeful way). Cerebral Palsy cannot be correlated with any single disease or condition mentioned in Ayurveda, as it is a multi-factorial disease. The classical signs and symptoms of CP will fit into criteria of Vata Vyadhi spectrum (Vata predominant disease) like Ekangvata, Sarvangvata, Pakshaghata, Pangu, Kampavata etc and Phakkaroga. Although cerebral palsy cannot be completely cured but treatment will generally enhance a child’s abilities. Agnimandya, Amavastha and Kaphavastha should be considered while planning the line of treatment in CP cases. The selected Ayurvedic treatment modality is highly effective in relieving the signs and symptoms and thus reducing the disability in children with CP. Swedana (sudation) is the therapy that relieves the Stambha (stiffness) of the body, mitigate feeling of Guruta (heaviness) and Sheeta (feeling of cold). Shastika shali panda sweda comes under the category of Saagniseda with Snigda dravya as milk and Shalidhanya. It has Snigdha, Guru, Sthira, Sheeta, Tridoshaghna and Brimhanaguna. In this article, an attempt to treat a child with spastic diplegia using multiple Ayurveda treatment modalities. At the end of one year of treatment, Panchkarma procedures along with internal medication resulted in 15-20% improvement in the overall effect of therapy

    Schizophrenia is unarguably one of the most devastating mental illnesses, that affect how a person thinks, feels and behaves. This leads to symptoms such as hallucinations, delusions, disorganized behavior and impaired cognitive ability. The life time prevalence of schizophrenia is about 0.7% and requires lifelong management like medications, psychotherapy, and adequate social support. Symptoms of Schizophrenia are similar to that of Unmada mentioned in Ayurveda classics. Ayurveda has proven promising results in reducing the symptoms and improving the quality of life. This paper deals with a diagnosed case of schizophrenia which can be correlated with Vatika Unmada with Kapha Anubandha based on signs and symptoms. A 38-year-old female patient approached in our OPD and took two courses of treatment in 2021 December and 2022 October with complaints of disturbed sleep, hearing voices, night mares, lack of confidence, inability to make decisions, fear and wandering. The treatment was planned based on the signs and symptoms. Snehapana, Virechana, Vasti and Nasya were done. The symptoms were assessed using Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS). After the treatment the patient had considerable relief in the symptoms

    Functional dyspepsia (FD) is a clinical condition that brings the patient to the doctor with a wide range of symptoms. Many patients go on changing the consultants thinking that they are suffering with a complicated disease. The prevalence of FD is 20% worldwide. But, in India, the prevalence of FD ranges from 7-49% as per data published in one of the studies. Modern medical science treats the condition with PPI, H2 blockers, prokinetic drugs, Probiotics and many more to provide symptomatic relief. Likewise, Ayurveda, an age old health care system of India has developed its own way of treating this condition based on symptoms. Charaka has classified 500 drugs in 50 groups known as Maha kashaya. Each group of Maha kashaya consists of 10 drugs. Among these groups, a class known as Truptighna maha kashaya contains those drugs that relieve the early satiety and abdominal discomfort. But, the interesting fact is that these drugs have additional pharmacological actions that can be utilized to bring relief to the patients of FD of modern era. The drugs have 11 prominent actions that help relieving the symptoms and also prevent the complication of the condition. This class becomes a good alternative, appropriate, well-meant, nicely formulated remedy for functional dyspepsia
