Vataja Pratishyaya (Allergic Rhinitis) is well known for its recurrence and chronicity. Currently approximately 10-30% of adults and 40% of children are affected (feb 2023). A study 2022 revealed that COVID -19 could cause disturbances to the immune system, leading to unusual mast cell activation that may cause allergic flare-ups. Long term usage of nasal decongestants, causes Rhinitis Medicamentosa (RM). Keeping in view the limitations associated with long term usage of modern medications, there is a need to approach Ayurveda treatment for allergic rhinitis. So in present study Anu Taila Nasya and Shatyadi Vati were selected. The trial was conducted on 40 clinically diagnosed patients of Vataja Pratishyaya (allergic rhinitis). Study was carried out in a single group. Anu Taila in the form of Nasya therapy 8 drop of Marsha Nasya of 3 sitting and 2 drop of Pratimarsha Nasya in between 3 sitting of Marsha Nasya in both nostrils, once a day for 35 days along with Shatyadi Vati (500mg) 1 tab BD with lukewarm water for 35 days was given. Result was observed and data was statistically analysed before and after treatment. Highly significant results were found in subjective parameters as well as in objective parameters like sneezing (paroxysmal), nasal obstruction, running nose, itching in the nose, temporal headache, nasal congestion except IgE values (significant result)
Evaluating the Anti-Inflammatory Impact of Virecana Karma with Manibhadra Guda in Psoriasis (Kitibhakushtha)
Kushtha is described in Ayurvedic texts as a stubborn skin disorder that falls under the category of Raktaja vikara’s. In modern parlance, can be correlated with psoriasis, a genetically determined autoimmune inflammatory skin disorder. It is characterized by thickened, red, and scaly itchy plaques, with a pathogenesis that remains unclear in contemporary medicine. The aim of this study is to evaluate the anti-inflammatory effects of Virecana by using inflammatory markers such as IL-6, hs-CRP, ESR, and the PASI score. Methodology: Pre and post interventional study, the treatment regimen included Amapacana with Citrakadi Vati, followed by 5 days of Snehapana with Murchita Go Ghrta, 3 days of Abhyanga and Atapa Sevana, and Virecana Karma with Manibhadra Guda for 1 day, followed by 7 days of Samsarjana Krama. Consequently, the active study duration ranged from 15 days. Inflammatory markers IL-6, hs-CRP, ESR, and PASI scores were assessed on the 0th day, after treatment (15th day), and one-month post-Virecana (45th day). Results: Statistical analysis revealed that the mean IL-6, hs-CRP, ESR, and PASI scores showed significant differences across the time points (BT, AT, and AF). Conclusion: It is concluded that IL-6, hs-CRP, ESR, and PASI scores were more effectively down-regulated after follow-up compared to after treatment, and both were significantly lower than before treatment
Role of Twagadi Gutika in Pain Management
Pain is any suffering or discomfort, whether physical or mental, brought on by an illness or injury. Regardless of how minor the pain is, it still causes discomfort and interferes with daily activities for the person. Pain is referred to in Ayurveda as the premonitory indicator and as symptoms of various diseases under different names, such as Shool, Ruja, and Vedana. Acharya Sushruta states that Vata Dosha is the primary source of all pain, or "Vatat Rute Nasti Ruja." Even with the latest developments in anaesthesia and pain management, managing pain is still difficult. Vata Dosha is regarded as the root cause of all types of pain. The nervous system and body movements are governed by the Vata Dosha. An imbalance in it can result into difficulty with joint mobility and function, which can exacerbate disorders like arthritis and musculoskeletal pain. Pain associated with Vata Dosha is frequently described as throbbing, aching, or acute in nature. Ayurveda may offer hope in a world where everyone is searching for ways to reduce and eliminate pain by helping people comprehend its true nature and offering fresh approaches to its management. Ayurveda provides a variety of treatment modalities to manage pain, depending on the origin, type, and duration of the condition. The present article aims at throwing light on one of the herbal preparations, Twagadi Gutika, mentioned in Ayurveda Samhita, for Vata dosha disorders and specifically for managing pain

Acute Pain Management in Vatakaphaja Gridhrasi
Gridhrasi is one of the Vataja Nanatmaja Vyadhi in which the vitiated Vata afflicts the Kandara and Sira of lower limb leading to Stambha, Ruk, Toda along with Spandana starting from Kati Pradesha to Prustha, Janu, Jangha and Pada of either one side or both side of the lower limbs. Due to similarities in the clinical presentation, it can be studied under the spectrum of Intervertebral Disc Prolapse of lumbar spine. It is a condition affecting the spine in which the annulus fibrosus is damaged enabling nucleus pulposus to herniate, due to which there will be compression of Spinal Cord or the exiting nerve roots causing severe pain in the low back radiating to lower limbs. The incidence of Herniated disc is about 5 to 20 cases per 1000 adults annually and is most common in male patients when compared with female. In this case a male patient of age 36 suffering with acute pain in the low back region was effectively managed by Nadi Sweda followed by dry cupping for 7 days, followed by Patra Pinda Sweda for 7 days. The study shows significant relief in the pain and remarkable improvement in the range of movement of lumbar spine

Evaluation of Gunja Taila w.s.r to Phytochemical Composition and Ras Panchaka
Ayurveda is a holistic science of life and Aushadha (drug) is an integral part of this Trisutriya Ayurveda. Similarly, according to Ayurvedic classics the treatment\u27s quadruped (Chikitsa Chatushpada) also gives importance to Aushadha and positioned it next to the physician (Bhishaka). Various drug preparations are mentioned in our classics, and Gunja Taila is one of them described by different Acharyas. It is a Sneha Kalpana made of mainly four ingredients (Gunja, Bhrigraja, Tila Taila and Kanji) and is preferably indicated in Shiroroga. Ayurvedic drugs have the distinct nature of a complex blend of several secondary metabolites. An actual understanding of its ingredients is essential for avoiding adulteration. These medications have their own potential to be utilised both internally and externally, but describing their chemical ingredients and other associated elements is a significant step forward. Rapidly rising efforts in the field of studies of Ayurvedic drugs, in future will result in evidence based Ayurvedic medicine as well as new leads to drug development. In this article an effort is made to review proper identification of raw drugs used for Gunja Taila including understanding of its active ingredients and mode of action
Effect of Wet Cupping with Rasayana Chikitsa in Management of Alopecia Areata (Indralupt)
Abstract: Alopecia areata, or Indralupt in Ayurveda, is a dermatological condition characterized by localized, non-scarring hair loss. It presents as circular or oval patches of baldness, primarily affecting the scalp. While its exact cause remains unclear, autoimmune factors are thought to play a significant role. Management typically involves a combination of topical and systemic treatments, including corticosteroids and immunomodulators which is not fully preventive or curative. Thus, Vata, Pitta, and Kapha Dosha i.e., Tridosha and Rakta Dushya are the causative factors of Indralupta. Materials and Method: Cup, Cupping pump, cotton ball or Swab, antiseptic solution, sterile lancets or scalpel, gloves. The patient was scheduled for wet cupping therapy, with a seven-day interval between each of the three sessions. Significant hair growth was observed after just one session. Raktamokshan, particularly Prachchanna (blood-letting, primarily scraping) is beneficial for removing vitiated Rakta if it is located in a specific area of the body, such as hair follicles. Result : After undergoing Wet Cupping and internal Rasayan drug for duration of one month, two patches of hair loss affected by alopecia areata were completely removed. Conclusion: This case report investigates the effectiveness of Raktmokshan, a traditional Ayurvedic therapy involving wet cupping, and Rasayan chikitsa in the management of alopecia areata (Indralupt). The case presents a patient with alopecia areata who underwent Raktmokshan therapy and observed outcomes over a defined period
