Asthidhatu Kshaya and Osteoporosis: A Comprehensive Review of Ayurvedic and Modern Perspectives
Asthidhatu Kshaya, a condition described in Ayurveda, exhibits similarities with osteoporosis in modern medicine. This review aims to provide a comprehensive comparison of these conditions, analyzing their pathophysiology, etiology, symptoms, diagnostic methods, and treatment approaches. Osteoporosis, a major public health concern, is associated with increased fracture risk and reduced quality of life, particularly in aging populations. Ayurveda offers a unique perspective on bone health, emphasizing balance in bodily humors (Doshas) and metabolic factors influencing bone tissue formation and degeneration. Understanding the correlation between Asthidhatu Kshaya and osteoporosis through an integrative lens may contribute to the development of more holistic, individualized, and preventive treatment strategies. Additionally, this review highlights the potential of combining traditional Ayurvedic wisdom with modern scientific advancements to optimize bone health management and improve patient outcomes
Ayurvedic Insights into Recurrent Abortions: A Comprehensive Literature Review
Recurrent pregnancy loss affects around 15% of pregnancies globally. Ayurveda provides a comprehensive method for comprehending and treating this problem through concepts like Garbhotpatti (conception) and Garbhasrava (miscarriage). This study reviews classical Ayurvedic literature with a focus on pathophysiology, etiology, and treatment approaches. key components include Garbhadhana Yogya Ayu, Garbhasambhava Samagri, Garbhadhana Vidhi, Garbhavakranti, Shadbhavas of Garbha, Garbha Poshana and Vriddhi. Causes of recurrent abortions can stem from abnormalities at the time of conception, including factors such as age, and the essential elements of conception: Ritu, Kshetra, Ambu, and Beeja. Even after conception several Garbhoupghatkara Bhavas, alongside causes of Yoni Vyapada, Jataharini, Bandhya and the concept of Douhridaapamana, also contribute to miscarriages. Symptoms often include pain-resulting from the vitiation of Vata-and bleeding, indicative of the expulsion of Ama Garbha and the opening of Artava Vaha Srotas. Ayurvedic classics elucidate various conditions leading to abortions, drawing somehow a conceptual meaning with modern scientific understanding. The concept of Garbhasrava in these texts provides valuable insights in the management of such disorders, emphasizing the need for a holistic approach to women health. Understanding these perspectives can enhance our approach to address recurrent abortions and support women through their pregnancy journeys

Results & Observations: The formulation demonstrated significant anti-bacterial activity, inhibiting the growth of major diarrhoea-causing bacteria. The anti-diarrheal study revealed that a higher dose (12g) exhibited better efficacy compared to medium (10g) and low (8g) doses, reducing diarrhoeal frequency and fecal moisture content. Conclusion: Darvyadi Ghrita possesses notable anti-bacterial and anti-diarrheal properties, supporting its traditional use in Atisara (diarrhoea) management
An Open Label Prospective Study to Explore Efficacy of Ipecacuanha in Cases of Bronchial Asthma
Bronchial hyper responsiveness and variable air flow obstruction is the primary causes of episodes of breathlessness, coughing, wheezing, tightness in the chest, among other symptoms of bronchial asthma, a chronic inflammatory disease that may be treated or resolved on its own. When combined with traditional treatments, homeopathic treatment of bronchial asthma shows promise as a supplemental strategy. Although early data points to its possible advantages, more study is required to develop firm clinical recommendations and confirm the efficacy of homeopathic remedies in the management of asthma. An estimated 15–20 million people in India suffer from asthma. About 2% of people in India have it. It contributes to a lower quality of life by limiting physical activity (69%), making it harder to accomplish everyday tasks (85%), and decreasing productivity at work (73%), study (64%), and limits in leisure and lifestyle (78%). Since Homeopathy is founded on the laws of similar, it treats illnesses by using medications that, when administered to healthy people, cause symptoms that are similar. A person is treated holistically with homeopathy. There are medications available to treat acute asthma attacks, stop them from happening again, and address allergens that can cause an asthma attack

Multimodal Therapeutic Approach in Prolonged Grief Disorder
Prolonged Grief Disorder (PGD) is characterized by intense, persistent grief that impairs an individual’s ability to function. PGD stands out due to the chronic nature of emotional distress, lasting beyond culturally appropriate mourning periods. If left untreated, PGD can lead to complication such as depression, suicidal thoughts or behaviours, anxiety and sleep disturbances. CBT is the prime choice for management, high dropout rates and longer follow-up make the condition challenging. A multimodal approach including Ayurvedic medicines, yoga, psychotherapies are observed as effective in PGD based on the principles of Unmada chikitsa. Three female patients presented with yearning, preoccupation with the deceased, emotional numbness, and difficulty moving forward with life for more than one and half years. They were diagnosed as PGD as per the DSM V - TR criteria. Ayurvedic management included medicines on a conditional basis along with the same, Jacobson Progressive Muscle Relaxation and yoga was also administered. The assessments were done on 0th day and 21st day with Brief Grief Questionnaire, Hamilton anxiety rating scale and Hamilton depression rating scale. Participants revealed improvement in functional capacity, emotional regulation. Changes noted in both biological and psychological symptoms of grief. There was reduction in the scores of all the scales on assessment. This case series highlights the importance of multimodal approach including Ayurvedic pharmacotherapy in PGD to mitigate the long-term psychological and social impacts of unresolved grief

Unlocking Relief: Panchakarma’s Potential in Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia
Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia (HSP) is a group of rare, inherited neurological disorder characterized mainly by progressive stiffness and weakness in the legs. It occurs due to the degeneration of the axons in the spinal cord responsible for motor control. It can be inherited in different ways (autosomal dominant, autosomal recessive, or X-linked), and symptoms usually worsen gradually over time. There is currently no cure, but physical therapy, medications, and assistive devices can help manage symptoms. While classical Ayurvedic texts do not directly correlate this condition, it can be understood within the broader framework of Vatavyadhi, specifically as Kaphavrutha Vyana Vata based on symptoms like bilateral lower limb weakness, stiffness, and heaviness. In present case, the condition was managed using Sarvanga Abhyanga, Dashamoola Kashaya Seka, Mustadi Yapana Basti in Kalabasti pattern, and Shastikashali Pinda Sweda. Emerging clinical evidence highlights Panchakarma therapy as a transformative Ayurvedic intervention, demonstrating significant improvements in patients\u27 quality of life
