Depending on the Doshas involved and the state of the rash, the treatment plan may include avoidance of causes, Stanya shodhana, local applications, decoctions for cleaning, powders for dusting, and other methods. A deeper understanding of napkin dermatitis and Ahiputana will undoubtedly pave the way for the creation of better management guidelines that can provide newborns with a great deal of relief. Aging and degeneration are natural course of life, but in this modern era the advancement of technologies and busy life style contribute to the early degeneration process. Improper continuous postures, jerky movements while travelling, overuse of mobiles etc. will produce undue pressure and stress to the cervical disc and it will lead to inflammatory reaction and eventually degeneration. Cervical spondylosis caused by wear and tear phenomena in cervical spine. It is most frequently involved in the cartilage and bones of the cervical spine and causes loss of normal spine function. According to Ayurvedic perspectives cervical spondylosis can be correlated with Asthigata Vata. A female patient age 23yrs., diagnosed and non-operated case of Cervical spondylosis (19/07/2023 OPD NO.27393, IPD NO. 2150) came to Panchakarma OPD of ITRA, Jamnagar with complaints of pain at nape of neck radiating to right upper limb (Greeva Shoola) since last 5yrs along with restricted ROM of neck (Greeva Stambha) and difficulty in doing daily activities such as reading, etc. The pain aggravated in prolonged reading and morning. Locomotor system diseases are becoming more prevalent, limiting social and professional activities. Low back pain affects a large portion of the population. The prevalence of chronic low back pain rises steadily from the third decade of life until 60 years of age, with women having a higher incidence. Gridhrasi is one of the Vataja Nanatmaja vyadhi, where dysfunction of Vata affect Gridhrasi Nadi characterized by low back pain radiating to lower limbs, stiffness and pricking type of pain. It starts from Kati-Prishta (pelvic region and lumbosacral) radiating to Jangha Paada (thigh, feet) with impairment of lifting the leg. Sciatica is the most common debilitating condition causes chronic low back ache. Radiating leg pain disabilities are observed in sciatica. Herniation of one or more lumbar intervertebral discs can causes radicular pain in the sciatic nerve distribution, which is a common and frequently incapacitating condition. This illness is thought to affect 13% to 40% of people in their lifetime. Thankfully, most instances get well on their own with basic physiotherapy and analgesic. But there’s a chance the illness will become unmanageable and persistent, with serious socioeconomic repercussions. Epidemiological factors discovered to influence the occurrence of sciatica included increasing height, age, genetic susceptibility, walking, running (if there is a history of sciatica), and specific physical jobs, such as driving. In this article, attempt has been made to review the Ayurvedic classics text and related literatures to understand the disease Gridhrasi

Although there were mention of Shilajit Bhasma (Calx) in various classical texts, but no specific study or usage of the same found mention in Google Scholar, ARD, Pub-Med, NCBI, AYUSH Research Portal and other open source database. This study is intended for preparation of Shilajit Bhasma (Calx) and assessments of physico-chemical properties of the same. Methods: The Bhasma (Calx) of Shilajit was being prepared using classical references, from Shilajit purified with two different methods, namely, Ushna Jal Shodhita Shilajit (Agnitapi) and Triphala Kwatha (decoction) Shodhit Shilajit (Suryatapi). Main constituents used in Marana (incineration) were purified Gandhak (sulphur), Haritala (orpiment), Manasila (realgar) in equal proportion to Shilajit. IEC No. for the study is IEC-RAC-18/R.S.B.K.-18-M.D.(Ayu.). Results: Result of the FE-SEM shows that both samples contain crystalline of nano size, with size ranged from 100nm – 1µm, with irregular shape and sizes. The findings of FE-SEM are in concordance to results of classical examinations of Bhasma (Calx). XRD intensity plots of both samples show various sharp and small peaks, when diffraction patterns were observed at different 2ɵ angles ranges from 10° to 70°, various peaks identified to correspond with known peaks for S & AsS and have been marked on the plots. ICP-MS and flame photometry of both samples reveals the presence of Na, Ca, K, Mg, Mn & As in different ratio. Conclusions: It has been concluded that the elemental composition of Shilajit Bhasma have a strong similarity with Purified Shilajit

Ayurveda always emphasized the two aspects i.e., concept of Sukham dukham ayu or Hitam- ahitam. This Dvandaj relationship helps us to understand the concept of useful nature of Visha dravya. It’s remarkable how the Visha dravya present in nature has been utilized by the knowledge of Ayurveda to the benefit of human beings. Aim: To review the Rasapanchak of Sthavar visha with the 10 Guna of Visha mentioned in Schedule E (1) drug & Upvisha. Objective: To compare the similar Gunas of Sthavar visha with Visha guna. Material & Method: Plants mentioned in schedule E of Drugs & Cosmetic Act 1945, were studied for their Dravyaguna properties and obtained from the Dravyaguna vigyan. The rules and regulation related with poisonous drugs are given in Drugs & Cosmetic Act 1945. Relevant information related to Visha was collected from the Ayurvedic text, databases, books affiliated with Agad Tantra. Result: There are 14 drugs of plant origin mentioned in schedule E (1) along with the safety studies and packing of these drugs guidelines in drugs and cosmetic act 1945, 1 drug of animal origin and 7 drugs of mineral origin. Out of 10 Gunas of Visha 6 Gunas i.e., Laghu, Tikshna, Ruksha, Vyavayi, Vikasi and Sukshma are similar to Gunas of poisonous plants. Conclusion: Due to similarities in Visha guna there is separate category of Sthavar visha (poisonous drugs) which makes them different from other plant drugs, along with their different mode of action which is similar to action of Visha. There is a need of detailed safety studies of these drugs to make them recognizable at global health

Introduction: Melanocyte degeneration has a connection to vitiligo, an acquired macular depigmentation disorder. It is thought to be brought on by cells\u27 autoimmune destruction of melanocytes. Frequently symmetrical, generalized vitiligo affects the hands, wrists, feet, knees, neck, as well as the skin around bodily orifices. Methodology: The 10-year-old male child, complaint of white discolored spots on his neck and left clavicle region; Shamana Chikitsa was used to cure the condition satisfactorily. Result: Patient showed encouraging result after Shamana Chikitsa, where subjective criteria evaluated using scoring method and objective criteria evaluated using VASI scoring method. Discussion: Patient was treated with Shamana Aushadhis, where white discolored patches turned to pinkish, and after that the patches turned into normal skin color. Subject was observed with 95% improvement in subjective criteria and VASI scoring improved from 0.25 to 0.10. Hence, the present case study highlights the importance of efficacy of Ayurvedic treatment in Shwitra, as mentioned in classics. Conclusion: Ayurvedic medicine\u27s effectiveness in curing Shwitra was confirmed by the current case study
