This research is qualitative research with case study approach. The data was taken from the interview of seven teachers in Integrated Islamic School of Yogyakarta Region from primary school to secondary school and documentation. The data collected was analyzed by interactively inductive data analysis technique of Miles and Huberman model consisting of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion withdrawal. The finding of this research showed that; first, the integration of nationalistic and religious values was conducted based on the ideal Indonesian human concept that is the obedient human of Indonesian towards the state in which the main indicator is nationalism also the obedient human of Indonesian towards God in which the main indicator is religious soul. The Humanitarian Project-Based Material for Productive Written Language Skills Subject for English Education Study Program
This study was aimed to develop humanitarian project-based material for productive written language skills subject for English Education Study Program at UNIMED. Research and Development (R&D) was the design of this study with the subjects of the study were 25 students of first semester students of English Education Study Program at UNIMED. The research procedures were adapted from Borg and Gall’s research theory (1983) namely 1)gathering data and information, 2)need analysis, 3)designing course material, 4)validating and evaluating new course material by the Experts, 5)revising the course material and 6)final product. The instruments of collecting the data were questionnaire, interview and expert judgement questionnaire. The data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively.. Based on the result of the expert judgement, the whole aspects of developed materials were in the range of 81-100% and were categorized as “very good”
A New Perspective: The Implication of Chaos/Complexity Theory in Language through Dichotomies
This study opens different points of view at chaos/complexity theory (C/CT) which is still a new theory in second language acquisition. Pro. Larsen-Freeman and her colleagues considered a variety of characteristics, C/CT is known as nonlinear dynamics or dynamical system theory that provides a framework for thinking about change over time. Scientists claim that one can see not only the laws of chaos but also those of order, through which a strong explanation for how any collection of components will organize itself and it can be generated in dichotomies. They attempt to rationalize the behavior of large and complex systems, believing they cannot be explained by usual rules of natur
Fiscal and Monetary Policies Coordination Rwanda Experience
This paper attempts to quantify the coordination between monetary and fiscal policies in Rwanda from 2008 to 2018. The paper uses Granger causality test and vector autoregressive (VAR) framework to determine whether these policies are implemented independently and also looks at the extent of their coordination. The empirical results using unstructured VAR model suggest that monetary and fiscal policies interact and are coordinated in Rwanda. The impulse response functions demonstrate significant interaction between monetary and fiscal policy. For instance a positive shock on government expenditure induces an increase in broad money that in turn induces an increase in liquidity in the economy. Finally, the paper recommends that both policies should continue interacting in order to strengthen policy coordination. Therefore, ultimately achieve a stable and low inflation together with high growth
Barries to Effective Listening of Company Leaders in Medan City
Listening is as important as speaking or giving a speech to an audience.Very few leaders realize that conversation determines the growth and productivity of the organization / company they lead. Most people also believe that they have heard effectively in a conversation, which is one of the main elements in effective communication. This type of research was quantitative descriptive analysis. This research was conducted on the core implementers (managerial and executives from various divisions) from several companies or organizations in the city of Medan, as many as one hundred (100) respondents who worked in the fields of education, health, community service, law, hospitality, and entrepreneurship. Data collection techniques were carried out in two ways, namely by using a questionnaire and google form. Google form was used only for leaders who have very limited time because of their work. Then a short interview was conducted relating to the answers given. For data analysis, quantitative descriptive analysis techniques was used using figures or pictures showing the magnitude of the numbers or frequencies of the answers provided and followed by data reduction and drawing conclusions. The results showed that almost all respondents believed that they had heard effectively. But in reality this was not the case. Most leaders experienced personal interference where they always tried to be an entertainer when listening to the other person. As listeners, their minds were always preoccupied with finding ways to make the other person feel valued, happy and approved
Teaching Language in Cross-Disciplinary Contexts
Cross-disciplinarity is more and more important because of the wide specialization demanded by job markets. Separate disciplines are demanded with increasing urgency to integrate their concepts and methods in teaching and research. Only through the intersection of different disciplines can progress and innovation be achieved in specific knowledge areas. It is said that much leading science nowadays progresses not by placing one brick upon the other within a single discipline, but by solving complex problems that cut across many disciplines. Language teaching has to conform to what today’s society demands from professional occupations: a cross-disciplinary role with a result-oriented focus. Cognitive science can provide an adequate model for cross-disciplinary investigation because it integrates linguistic, psychological, philosophical, neurological, computer science, anthropological and historical contributions. Within the cognitive paradigm, a linguistic term does not exclusively exist because of its relations with others but also of culture-based and conventionalized background knowledge. We will use and rely on principles and models of cognitive linguistics to apply and handle language teaching in cross-disciplinary contexts
Determinant of Students’ Academic Triumph via Class Attendance
The study investigated the influence of students’ attendance for lecture on their academic performance and the interactive effect of students’ IQ on students’ academic achievement. The study adopted a true experimental treatment design. 30 computer science students and 50 educational technology students were purposively sampled. Four educational technology lecturers from the department of educational technology, University of Ilorin validated the lesson plan and the performance test that covered the content on a selected Educational Technology concept. Mean and percentage were used to answer the research questions. For hypothesis testing, pearson product moment correlation (PPMC) was used to test hypothesis one while Hypothesis two was analyzed using ANCOVA. All hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance. The findings established that there was significant influence of class attendance on their academic performance but there was no significant interactive effect of students’ IQ on students’ academic achievement. The study concluded that students who attended class regularly perform better than those who do not

The learning project that is designed is to create a learning media for beginning reading for elementary school students. Wallas' creative process includes 5 stages: preparation, incubation, intimacy, illumination and verification. Distance learning projects are carried out in 7 stages, namely: (1) formulating learning outcomes, (2) understanding concepts, (3) skills training, (4) designing the project, (5) making the project proposal, (6) executing projects and (7) project report. The results showed that in distance project learning can still be done to train creativity with paying more in accessibility of communication and following the learning stag
