The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of aesthetics based teaching on students' attitudes toward school. This is an all-experimental study of pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The statistical population of sixth grade students in schools Fardis in the academic year of 1997-98 was. The sampling method was simple random and the selected students were divided into experimental and control groups. The sample size was determined using Morgan table and the number of sample people in each group was 16. Experimental science course was taught in the experimental group by aesthetic teaching method and in the control group by traditional teaching method. To assess the attitude towards school, McCoach (2003) school attitude questionnaire (SAAS-R) was used with a reliability of 0.96. The obtained data were analyzed by multivariate analysis of covariance. The results showed that the level of attitude towards school in students who took the sixth grade experimental sciences course with aesthetic methods was different from the students who learned this course with the usual teaching methods in schools. Therefore, the aesthetic method can play a role as an active and effective method in students' academic achievement in science

Alaogbaga was/is an arbitrator of justice and morality. This deity was revered and respected by the people unlike today where the deity is relegated to the background. This research work discusses deities and their symbolic representation in an Igbo community focusing on Alaogbaga deity in Chokoneze Ezinihitte Mbaise local government area. The data collected were analyzed using the area cultural approach. In the course of the study, the researcher found out that Christianity, modernization and globalization are the agents that contributed to the weakening of the cultural heritage of Chokoneze people and the destabilization liturgical worship of Alaogbaga. The assimilation of these agents brought about negligence and abuse of the deity by different cadre. The effect of this negligence led to the weakening of the cultural heritage and in consequence the weakening of the moral practices associated with the traditional norms. This research will be beneficial to different cadre and will help enlighten and awaken the minds of the people. The researcher recommends that the people should go back to their root and reconcile with the positive traditions and moral values of their forefathers to help reduce the increasing rate of immorality. The Christian community together with the traditionalist should try to incorporate the teaching of the positive traditions of the community in their different organizations. The first wave of female migration from Ukraine, from the end of the 1980s to 2000, has been called ‘women attempting to migrate through despair’ and the second wave, from 2000 to 2020, has been called ‘attempts by women to migrate due to need and danger’
Certainty of Jurisdiction Law in Civil Law System
The Yoruba people have lived harmoniously as a kin for as long as the tribe has been in existence without religious strain despite the myriads of choices of beliefs that their traditional religion (Iseese) offered; and also, with the advent of foreign religions, Christian and Muslims have continuously live together in Yoruba land, often in harmony with practitioners of Yoruba traditional religion. In the recent age, there has been a curve of trend as the tribal relationships among the Yoruba people have gradually been eroding due to increasing infiltrations and activism of religion extremists. This research examined the damage religious sectarianism wreaked on the kinship relationship among the Yoruba folks. The research was qualitative, and situated within fundamentalism theory, a religious philosophy which depicts advocacy and strict adherence to a religious doctrine or belief. Data collections which are based on both primary and secondary sources are participatory, observatory and library oriented. It is concluded that religion has done more harm than good, but the situation can be redeemed with good understanding of the intended purpose of religion ingrained in the religious zealots
Integration of Service Learning in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and Volunteerism in Communities: The Cases of 2018 Summer Season Voluntarism in Amhara Region
Among the classic roles of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) i.e., research, teaching and community service the social engagement of institutions and their impact on civil society should be particularly highlighted. Of which, volunteering and service learning are believed to be an excellent means for accomplishing such goals. However, whether or not HEIs in developing countries like Ethiopia are able to materialize their social responsibility through such activities like student volunteerism, and their role in developing the active society was least explored. As a result, this study was planned to take place with a major objective to explore the integration of Service Learning in HEIs and Services in communities with a special focus to the cases of 2018 Summer Youth Voluntarism in Amhara Region of Ethiopia. For the purpose, a qualitative research methodology was employed. Officers and experts in the Amhara Region Bureau of Youth and Sports, and similar others at Bahir Dar City Zonal administration and in the sub-cities were drawn as informants and drawn data through interviews. In addition, the role of universities in promoting Service learning was examined from the syllabuses point of view, mainly a Course called Civics & Ethical Education using a content analysis technique. The findings reveal that though the service learning in the HEIs was not much visible through the Harmonized curriculum, Youth, especially, students of HEIs in Amhara Region of Ethiopia were found to be fully participated in services of community during the summer season of 2018, which implies the availability of the required motivation from the youth side. However a well-developed integration of service learning and volunteerism was unable to be discovered rather, this study calls for its realization

It is very significant in the sense that at the conclusion of the Igba-Ada carnival, the King acquires the symbolic and political authority to rule and the power to face his enemies and symbolically preserve his realm
The Applicability of Item Response Theory Based Statistics to Detect Differential Item Functioning in Polytomous Tests
The study used statistical procedures based on Item Response Theory to detect Differential Item Functioning (DIF) in polytomous tests. These were with a view to improving the quality of test items construction. The sample consisted of an intact class of 513 Part 3 undergraduate students who registered for the course EDU 304: Tests and Measurement at Sule Lamido University during 2017/2018 Second Semester. A self-developed polytomous research instrument was used to collect data. Data collected were analysed using Generalized Mantel Haenszel, Simultaneous Item Bias Test, and Logistic Discriminant Function Analysis. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between the proportions of test items that function differentially in the polytomous test when the different statistical methods are used. Further, the three parametric and non-parametric methods complement each other in their ability to detect DIF in the polytomous test format as all of them have capacity to detect DIF but perform differently. The study concluded that there was a high degree of correspondence between the three procedures in their ability to detect DIF in polytomous tests. It was recommended that test experts and developers should consider using procedure based on Item Response Theory in DIF detection
