Influence of School Environment on the Academic Performance of Secondary School Students in Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State
Being accepted as out of the four essential language skills in the language learning process, writing seems to be difficult for numerous EFL learners. This research is an endeavor to explore if learners can grow out of the writing difficulties with topic-based writing activity. 78 third-year students at the Faculty of Foreign Languages of Phan Thiet University in Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province participated in the study. These students were in the two writing classes, one class was treated as the experimental group (EG) and the other as the control group (CG). Research findings exposed the benefits of topic-based writing activity in nurturing learners' writing motivation and enhancing their writing skill. Furthermore, this activity gave students good chances to widen their knowledge on the topic, enrich their emotion on disadvantaged people, and build a friendly learning environment outside the classroom. The necessity and usefulness of the application of topic-based writing activity was predominantly recognized among students
Religion Sectarianism in Yoruba Land and Threats to Its Millennial Tribal Union
The Yoruba people have lived harmoniously as a kin for as long as the tribe has been in existence without religious strain despite the myriads of choices of beliefs that their traditional religion (Iseese) offered; and also, with the advent of foreign religions, Christian and Muslims have continuously live together in Yoruba land, often in harmony with practitioners of Yoruba traditional religion. In the recent age, there has been a curve of trend as the tribal relationships among the Yoruba people have gradually been eroding due to increasing infiltrations and activism of religion extremists. This research examined the damage religious sectarianism wreaked on the kinship relationship among the Yoruba folks. The research was qualitative, and situated within fundamentalism theory, a religious philosophy which depicts advocacy and strict adherence to a religious doctrine or belief. Data collections which are based on both primary and secondary sources are participatory, observatory and library oriented. It is concluded that religion has done more harm than good, but the situation can be redeemed with good understanding of the intended purpose of religion ingrained in the religious zealots

Ethnic Issues in China's Northwest Frontier Regions and Its Solutions
The Northwestern Frontier of China is different from the Northwestern China in that it is only a part of the Northwestern China that is close to the border of the country. The geographic space of the northwestern frontier in different periods of Chinese history has changed with the effective governance of the Chinese central government. The ethnic issues in the northwestern frontier have their basic historical background and time and space. The types of ethnic issues in China’s northwest frontier areas are not the same, but they are basically manifested in internal socio-economic and cultural development issues and external ethnic interaction issues, as well as transnational (border) ethnic issues and ethnic religious issues, such as ethnic separatism and extreme religion. Doctrine and violent terrorism are only part of it, not all of it. To this end, it is necessary to "prescribe the right medicine" for different types of ethnic problems and formulate different effective "prescriptions" to solve ethnic problems in order to realize the "Chinese dream" of harmonious socialist ethnic relations in China

Aspects of the Causative Morpheme -i- in Tonga (M64)
This paper examines the phonological behaviour of the causative morpheme –i- in Tonga, using the Plateau and Valley Tonga varieties. It identifies the various segments in radical final positions of different verbal forms and seeks to establish how the introduction of the causative morpheme in their environment affects the segments. The paper finds that in some cases the morpheme induces phonological change to the segments preceding the morpheme, with more phonological ‘activity’ noted in Plateau Tonga. The influence of the morpheme identified in the study is that it induces fricativisation, palatalisation, or glottalisation to radical final segments of the verbs where it is introduced, depending on the nature the concerned segment. The conclusion drawn in the paper is that the influence of the morpheme is more pronounced in Plateau Tonga than in Valley Tonga
