Discussion is the main type of activity and the most frequently used activity in the speaking class. Dialogue is another type of activity which is used for language function practice such as suggesting, asking information, agreeing, apologizing, disagreeing, and greeting. It is found that simulation and role play can be used for inspiring general oral fluency or training students for specific situations.  Debate is other kind of activity that provides a good opportunity for developing students’ speaking skills. In addition, Storytelling activities encourage student’s oral expression and increase overall language proficiency in speaking, listening comprehension, writing, and reading. To conduct surveys and questionnaires can be used for provoking conversation and opinion exchange. Moreover, for making the learners to speak, problems are good sources. To solve the problem students, have to use the language while engaged in the problem. Picture use is another activity that can be used in EFL classes and it is useful for learning that facilitated by imagery. Moreover, it is found that television, radio games and information-gap games motivate students to speak in speaking class

Voices of the Far-Flung Areas: Experiences of Teachers Teaching in Remote Schools

This study aimed to examine the insights, challenges and resiliency strategy of teachers teaching in the far-flung areas. The research employed the services of nine teacher-participants who qualified in the inclusion criteria such as serve in the locality for five years or more and must be a permanent teacher. Findings revealed that teachers face significant challenges including limited resources, difficult travel routes, and time management struggles. Despite these hurdles, they exhibit strong adaptability and resourcefulness, often relying on community engagement and personal resilience to navigate their demanding work environments. The study also highlights the crucial role of administrative support from the Department of Education in the form of professional development and resource augmentation—though many of these provisions fall short of lasting through the academic year. The research underscores the importance of enhancing existing DepEd policies, particularly in resource distribution, teacher localization, and sustained professional support. Additionally, community support emerged as a key factor influencing teacher retention, with those residing within their school’s community expressing a greater willingness to stay long-term. The findings advocate for a more inclusive, responsive, and sustainable approach to supporting teachers in remote areas to ensure equitable and quality education for all learners

It systematically designs and elaborates on how to use the Rain Classroom intelligent teaching platform to develop a problem-chain-driven ideological and political teaching system, providing referenceable teaching methods and practical pathways for advancing ideological and political education in curricula

Factors Influencing the Growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Afghanistan: A Case Study of Parwan Province

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) serve as pivotal engines of sustainable economic development, employment generation, and innovation diffusion. Their lean organizational structures, operational flexibility, and relatively low capital requirements render them highly effective in poverty alleviation and social empowerment. In Afghanistan, promoting SME growth constitutes a strategic pathway for economic reconstruction and societal resilience. This study employs a descriptive-survey design to investigate the key determinants of SME expansion in Parwan province. Data were collected from 322 active enterprises and analyzed through Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). The results highlight eight principal growth drivers: innovation and production productivity, workforce competencies, institutional support and legal framework, managerial and leadership capabilities, technological and logistical infrastructure, financial performance and management, human capital and technological capacity, and preparedness for external competition. Targeted enhancement of these factors can equip policymakers with actionable insights to formulate evidence-based strategies, fostering sustainable and resilient SME driven economic growth in the region

This study explored the dimensions of the sociolinguistic competence in English language communication of Tagakaolo senior high school students. Through purposive sampling, the participants of the study were the Tagakaolo senior high school students of the three secondary implementing units in the two municipalities of Davao Occidental. The exploratory factor analysis (EFA) yielded four factors: communication context, cultural knowledge, language learning, and language use. The model was found to be the best fit using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and other tests of fit indices. The final questionnaire, which was the main output of the study, consisted of 20 items and found to have good reliability based on its Cronbach’s alpha. Based on the results, the developed questionnaire will aid in determining the level of sociolinguistic competence in English language communication of Tagakaolo senior high school students, which can be used in future planning, policy making, and program implementations of different sectors

The purpose of this study is to investigate how interest influences mathematics learning among science students in higher education. Interest plays a significant role, acts as a powerful motivator to influence student's positive attitude and actively encouraging their effort in understanding mathematics. Exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling methods used to analyse the data collected from 239 selected students. The results proved that the interest significantly has a positive effect to greater success in mathematics (p-value = 0.000). This study reveals that more than 15 points will be achieved for an additional level of interest and indirectly promoting higher education students to have better motivation level towards mathematics. Therefore, to maximize positive interest, enhanced understanding, and a more engaged learning experience in mathematics, it is suggested that a great effort be made to create a supportive and positive learning environment

Effects of the Three Teaching Strategies on the Performance in Mathematics of Grade V Pupils of Ampayon Central Elementary School, Butuan City Division

This study examined the effects of three teaching strategies—multisensory, think-pair-share, and lecture method—on the mathematics performance of Grade V pupils at Ampayon Central Elementary School, Butuan City Division. Employing a quasi-experimental design with three groups of 40 pupils each, the research utilized pretests and posttests based on the K–12 Basic Education Curriculum in Mathematics. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA). Findings revealed significant differences in performance across the strategies, with the multisensory approach producing the highest mean scores, followed by think-pair-share, while the lecture method yielded the lowest. Pupils exposed to multisensory and think-pair-share strategies demonstrated greater interest, higher engagement, and more substantial learning gains compared to the traditional lecture-discussion group. The study concludes that the multisensory approach is the most effective strategy for enhancing mathematics learning outcomes. It recommends that teachers and school leaders adopt varied pedagogical approaches to foster improved student performance and to align with the goals of the Department of Education in promoting quality instruction
