    The Existence of Oral Traditions in Indonesia

    This article discusses oral traditions in Indonesia, especially in the Gorontalo community. The aim is to examine the extent of the process of maintaining and developing the oral tradition in Gorontalo, especially the form of reciprocal rhyme called Pa'iya lo hungo lo poli. This type of rhyme is sung by two young people taking turns, and the rhyme consists of four lines in each stanza, and each stanza is followed by a response to the rhyme which has the same rhyme and rhythm. This pantun can also be a means of social communication and fun entertainment for the people of Gorontalo. What is researched is the process of learning the Pa'iya lo hungo lo poli pantun, and what is the context of life values that can be learned from it through the behavior shown by the supporting community. The research results show that the pantun learning process is carried out non-formally, especially on a community basis through oral traditions passed down between generations, especially among families, and has an impact on the expression of a harmonious life based on the noble values found in the meaning of pantun poetry. This reflection is also part of efforts to preserve and promote the existence of the Pa'iya lo hungo lo poli pantun as part of Gorontalo's local cultural heritage

    Pesantren 4.0: Integration of Steam in Classical Learning for Today’s Students

    The Industrial Revolution 4.0 has brought great changes in the world of education, including in the Islamic boarding school environment which has been relying on classical learning methods based on the yellow book. The gap in the use of information and communication technology (ICT) has caused pesantren to face challenges in preparing students to be able to compete in the digital era. The STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) approach is a solution that can be applied to improve the quality of learning in Islamic boarding schools without eliminating traditional values. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach at the Tri Bhakti Attaqwa Rama Puja Raman North Islamic Boarding School, East Lampung to explore the application of STEAM in the classical system. Data collection techniques were carried out through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies, which were then analyzed by thematic analysis methods. The results show that the integration of STEAM in Islamic boarding school learning can improve 21st century skills, including critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. However, there are challenges in its implementation, such as the limitations of digital infrastructure, low technological literacy among students and teaching staff, and the need for special training for teachers in implementing STEAM. Therefore, an adaptation strategy is needed that maintains classical methods but still accommodates the use of technology in learning. This study provides recommendations for Islamic boarding schools to develop learning models that are more innovative and adaptive to the time

    Realisasi melalui Penerapan Prosedur Operasional yang Efisien dan Fungsional di Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga Provinsi Sumatera Utara

    Kuantitas prosedur operasi standar (SOP) yang diperlukan dapat dipastikan oleh suatu organisasi dengan melakukan penilaian kebutuhan SOP. Jenis, jumlah, dan ruang lingkup SOP yang dibutuhkan semuanya dapat ditentukan melalui penilaian kebutuhan. Prosedur operasional standar mungkin atau mungkin tidak menjadi fokus utama, tergantung pada ruang lingkupnya. Jenisnya tergantung pada jenis dan format SOP yang akan digunakan. Jumlah SOP yang dikembangkan akan tergantung pada seberapa mendesak situasinya. Penulis artikel ini menyoroti hal-hal sebagai berikut: (1) Terdapat dampak penerapan SOP di bidang kepemudaan di Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga Provinsi Sumatera Utara; (2) Terciptanya kerja yang efektif dan efisien di bidang kepemudaan di Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga Provinsi Sumatera Utara; dan (3) Terdapat pengaruh penerapan standar operasional prosedur dan bekerja secara efektif dan efisien pada sektor kepemudaan di Sumatera Utara. &nbsp

    The effect of using greenhouses as a learning medium in horticulture subjects on the skills of grade X agribusiness crops students at SMKN 3 Sidenreng Rappang

    This study aims to determine the effect of using greenhouses as a learning medium on students' skills in the horticulture subject. The type of research used is pre-experimental with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this study were all Grade X Agribusiness Crops students at SMKN 3 Sidenreng Rappang, totaling 11 students. Data were obtained through an observation checklist used before and after the treatment. The results showed a significant improvement in students' skills after learning using the greenhouse. The average score before the learning activity was 3.11, which increased to 4.81 after the learning, with a mean difference of 1.70 points. These results indicate that the use of greenhouses as a learning medium is effective in improving students' skills in horticultural cultivation

    Development of Poster-Based Learning Media in the Information and Communication Technology Subject at State Middle School 1 BPR Ranau Tengah

    This study aims to develop poster-based learning media for Information and Communication Technology subjects at SMP 1 BPR Ranau Tengah to improve student motivation and understanding. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D or RnD) method to develop poster-based learning media. This development research uses the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The focus of this study includes the process of identifying learning needs in the classroom, developing media that suits those needs, and analyzing the effectiveness of its use in improving student understanding. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 BPR Ranau Tengah. Data collection techniques in this study used observation and semi-structured interviews. The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results of the study indicate that the development of poster media at SMP Negeri 1 BPR Ranau Tengah proved to be effective. The developed poster media successfully achieved the stated objectives of increasing knowledge, changing attitudes, increasing participation, and improving students' understanding in Information and Communication Technology lessons. As some students have better understood the poster media effectively and have achieved the goal of presenting Information and Communication Technology information visually, helping students understand abstract concepts such as computers and internet networks. Teachers' creative designs and the use of graphic design technology increase learning interest and flexibility of use, both inside and outside the classroom, and can be an example for innovative Information and Communication Technology learning.   &nbsp

    Development of 3D Digital Animation-Based Basketball Shooting Training for Amateur Athletes

    The process of developing the talent of an athlete needs to be carried out from an early age. Therefore, coaches are required to design various training modification media according to age classification. One of them is to utilize technology media based on 3D digital animation video. This research aims to determine the validity and reliability values of the training media and the effectiveness of the training program media named animals, based on 3D digital animation, to improve free throw shooting in amateur class athletes. The population in this study consists of 40 amateur athletes, and the sampling method used is Total Sampling, resulting in a sample size of 40 athletes. In addition, this study involved 7 validators from disciplines that support this research. Before the data was analyzed, preliminary tests were conducted for analysis requirements, namely normality tests and homogeneity tests. Data analysis was performed using t-tests for paired data comparisons using SPSS version 26. The results of this study show that the validity value is 0.864 and the reliability is 0.980 > 0.05. This indicates that the media product for practicing animal names based on 3D digital animation is valid and reliable. In addition, the product's results are effective after being implemented to amateur class athletes, where the effectiveness test using the Paired Sample T-Test found a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000. Based on these research results, it can be concluded that the 3D digital animation-based training media product shows positive, valid, and reliable results.     Implementation of Culturally Responsive Teaching in Informatics Learning for Grade VII and VIII Students at UPT SMP Negeri 1 BPR Ranau Tengah

    This study aims to analyze the application of the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach in Informatics learning for seventh and eighth grade students at the UPT SMP Negeri 1 BPR Ranau Tengah. CRT is a pedagogical approach that considers students' cultural backgrounds as an important factor in the learning process. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the application of CRT can increase student engagement, strengthen cultural identity, and encourage improved learning outcomes. Teachers integrate local culture into learning projects, utilize community-based technology, and implement differentiated approaches based on student backgrounds. This approach creates a more inclusive and participatory classroom environment; previously passive students become more confident because the material feels relevant to their lives. Teachers also become more responsive to students' diverse needs and potential, enabling them to design adaptive and contextual learning activities. Informatics learning serves not only as a means of transferring technological knowledge but also as a platform for building cultural awareness, collaborative skills, and critical thinking skills. These findings underscore the importance of integrating local values and cultural wisdom in 21st-century learning. Therefore, support from school principals, communities, and educational stakeholders is needed for the sustainable development of culture-based learning practices

    The effectiveness of using Kahoot media on the geography learning outcomes of eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 4 Sidenreng Rappang

    This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using Kahoot media on the geography learning outcomes of eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 4 Sidenreng Rappang. Kahoot is a technology-based learning platform that can enhance student engagement and motivation through interactive quizzes. The method used in this research is a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample consisted of two classes: the experimental class, which used Kahoot media, and the control class, which used conventional learning methods. The instrument used was a multiple-choice learning outcome test administered before and after the treatment. The data analysis results showed a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students in the experimental class and those in the control class. The average post-test scores of students in the experimental class were higher than those in the control class. This indicates that the use of Kahoot media is effective in improving students' geography learning outcomes. Therefore, Kahoot can be used as an engaging and interactive alternative learning media to support the teaching and learning process in schools

    Analysis of the influence of branding on consumer perceptions of culinary products at “La Bugis” restaurant in Sidenreng Rappang Regency

    This study is motivated by the increasing competition in the culinary industry, which requires business actors to build strong branding in order to create positive consumer perceptions. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of branding on consumer perceptions of culinary products at La Bugis Restaurant in Sidenreng Rappang Regency and to identify the branding elements that contribute to customer loyalty. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the owner, employees, customers, and the surrounding community, as well as through observation and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and supported by NVivo 12 software for coding and visualization. The findings reveal that brand identity, the quality of traditional flavors, friendly service, comfortable atmosphere, and differentiation through local culture are the main factors in building positive consumer perceptions. In addition, word-of-mouth promotion and social media play an important role in strengthening brand image and customer loyalty. Thus, consistent branding based on customer experience has been proven to enhance the attractiveness and competitiveness of La Bugis Restauran

    Relationship between personality type and learning motivation of students in grade X at Giovanni Catholic High School in Kupang in the 2024/2025 academic year

    This research aims to determine the relationship between personality type and the learning motivation of class X students at the school. The type of research used is quantitative research with the independent variable (X), namely personality type, and the dependent variable (Y), namely learning motivation. The data collection technique uses a closed questionnaire, while data analysis is carried out using the Product Moment correlation formula with the help of the SPSS version 26 for Windows program. The results of the research show that there is a low but significant relationship between personality type and student learning motivation, with a correlation coefficient value of r = -0.358, which means it has a low level of relationship and a significance of p = 0.002 (p < 0.05), which means the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) is accepted
