Development of Vibrating Headphones to Help Student with Deaf Disabilities in Android-Based Lectures
Get PDFThis research is motivated by the issues identified in the field concerning deaf students who face difficulties in obtaining auditory information. This challenge arises due to the communication format during the learning process that predominantly utilizes oral language. Therefore, the researcher developed Vibrating Headphones with the aim of facilitating deaf individuals in acquiring one-way communication through text. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D development model (Define, Design, Development, and Dissemination). The prototype developed was validated by four experts, including experts in deaf disabilities, electrical engineering, adaptive technology, and IT. Additionally, user testing was conducted to assess the practicality of the prototype among four deaf students in the Special Education Department at UNP. The validation results by the four experts yielded an average score of 88.75%, indicating a very valid criterion. Meanwhile, the practicality test results by the four deaf individuals produced an average score of 76.75%, meeting practical criteria. Early Marriage and Household Vulnerability: Case Study in Medan Sinembah Village, Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency
Get PDFMarrying at an early age means getting married at an immature age. This research aims to analyze the impact of early marriage on divorce rates, and analyze the problems experienced by teenagers who marry early after deciding to divorce. The type of research used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted in Medan Sinembah Village, District. Tanjung Morawa District. Deli Serdang. This research began on 17 February 2023 to 17 December 2023. The results of the research show that early marriage can increase the divorce rate because of the mental unpreparedness of teenagers who marry early in marriage, not being able to support their families because they do not have a permanent job so they often still depend on parents, whose thinking is still unstable in resolving household problems, often use emotions, infidelity, and do not have firm boundaries regarding values and norms in interacting outside the home. The problems faced by teenagers who marry early after divorce include being a topic of discussion in society because they have the status of widows/widowers at a young age, difficulties in adapting to the environment because they feel embarrassed about their widow/widower status, and the breakdown of friendly relations between former families. husband and wife.

E-Library adalah suatu perpustakaan dimana seluruh isi koleksi dan proses pengelolaan, serta layanannya berupa kumpulan data dalam bentuk digital. Tujuannya efisiensi waktu dan tempat baik dari sisi pengelola maupun pengguna, sehingga memudahkan dalam hal pelayanan. Aplikasi E-Library ini berbasiskan web dengan menggunakan data internet. Application of the Mind Mapping Method to Improve Students' Critical Thinking Skills in Science Learning at SDN 77 Rante Lemo
Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi efektivitas penerapan teknik mind mapping dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V dalam pembelajaran IPA di SDN 77 Rante Lemo. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus menggunakan model Kemmis dan McTaggart dengan subjek penelitian 28 siswa kelas V. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dari 53,15 pada pretest menjadi 65,92 pada posttest siklus I dan 77,89 pada posttest siklus II. Persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa meningkat dari 28,57% pada pretest menjadi 60,71% pada siklus I dan 85,71% pada siklus II. Semua aspek kemampuan berpikir kritis (interpretasi, analisis, evaluasi, inferensi, eksplanasi, dan regulasi diri) mengalami peningkatan, dengan peningkatan tertinggi pada aspek eksplanasi. Kualitas mind mapping siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II. Efektivitas penerapan teknik mind mapping dipengaruhi oleh faktor gaya belajar siswa, motivasi belajar, dukungan guru, dan kompleksitas materi. This study aims to explore innovative technology-based learning strategies implemented by millennial teachers at SDN 182 Angin-Angin, Enrekang Regency, South Sulawesi. The research addresses issues related to the forms of technology-based learning strategies used, supporting and inhibiting factors in their implementation, and their impact on student engagement and motivation. A qualitative approach with a descriptive-exploratory method was employed, utilizing in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation for data collection. The results indicate that millennial teachers actively utilize interactive digital media, educational applications, and gamification methods to enhance student participation and motivation. The availability of internet access and teachers’ openness to innovation are key supporting factors, while limited infrastructure and technology training are major obstacles. The implementation of these strategies has a positive impact on increasing student engagement, developing critical thinking skills, and boosting learning motivation. The study recommends ongoing support from schools and the government in providing infrastructure and teacher training to optimize technology integration in learning.

The Effect of Classroom Management Ability and Teaching Style on the Teaching Readiness of Students of the Social Sciences Study Program of UIN North Sumatra Medan in the Micro Teaching Class for the 2023-2024 Academic Year
Get PDFThis study examines and analyzes the readiness of students in teaching, especially those who can manage classes and teach classroom social studies students for the 2023-2024 academic year at UIN North Sumatra Medan. This study focuses on the ability to manage courses, teaching styles, and readiness to teach students using quantitative research with an ex post facto approach. Data collection uses a questionnaire using the spss test version 2.2. This study uses two variables, namely classroom management (X1), teaching style (X2), and student teaching readiness (Y). The primary data used in this study is in the form of a questionnaire with 103 respondents. There was an influence between classroom management and teaching readiness because the t-value of the t-table > ( 7,994 > 1,984) and the significance level was 0.000 < 0.05. There was an influence between teaching style and teaching readiness because the t-value of the t-calculation > t table (9.224 > 1.984) and the significance level was 0.000 < 0.05. The simultaneity of Teaching Style and Classroom Management affects teaching readiness because of the value of f calculation > f table (27,635 > 3.09) and the significance level of 0.000 < 0.05.
 
TikTok Application-Based Learning Videos on Climate Change Materials at the Junior High School Level

The United Nations (UN) invites all countries to become catalysts in accelerating public education, especially the younger generation, so they have the knowledge and awareness to protect the environment. Nowadays, we live in a world where knowledge and information are very easy to obtain thanks to the help of the internet. TikTok is an example of an information dissemination platform that has proven effective in educating the public, especially Generation Z, whose life is closely linked to technology. This research aims to analyse the need to develop learning media in the form of TikTok for climate change material at the junior high school level. Using quantitative descriptive methods, researchers will collect data using interview techniques and distributing questionnaires. The data obtained is then presented in descriptive form. Overall, the research results show that students do not understand climate change in depth and want to learn more about it through TikTok videos

The Policy of Islamic Education in Fostering the Religious Character of Studens at MAN 5 Sleman
Get PDFThis research aims to examine the policy of Islamic education in fostering the religious character of students at MAN 5 Sleman. The study uses a qualitative method, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted through data condensation, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification. The study highlights that the Islamic education policy at MAN 5 Sleman has been successful in fostering the religious character of students through a series of structured and planned religious programs and activities. Supporting factors include collaboration between teachers and parents, clear regulations, adequate facilities and infrastructure, teacher leadership, and collective support from various parties. Challenges such as the lack of student awareness and environmental influences need to be addressed through school and parent cooperation to ensure that religious values remain ingrained in students. The results show a significant improvement in students in terms of honesty, discipline, increased worship, social care, tolerance, noble character, which will be valuable for their future. Although providing valuable insights, this study is limited by its focus on one school, the dominant qualitative approach, and data that may not be entirely representative. This study paves the way for future research to conduct comparative studies with other schools and analyze more deeply the effectiveness of Islamic education policies in different contexts
