Wasathiyah Islam: The Constellation of Al-Azhar University in Global Geopolitics
Get PDFIslam Wasathiyah, a concept that emphasizes moderation and balance in the understanding and practice of Islam, has become an increasingly important religious discourse in the context of contemporary global geopolitics. This paper aims to explore the central role of al-Azhar University, Egypt's leading Islamic educational institution, in developing and promoting Islam Wasathiyah amidst complex socio-political dynamics. Using historical and analytical approaches, this paper examines the internal and external factors that drive the emergence of the concept of Islam Wasathiyah, and analyzes al-Azhar's involvement in political contestations in Egypt and the Islamic world in general. Furthermore, this paper outlines the strategies implemented by al-Azhar, especially under the leadership of Grand Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb, in campaigning for Islam Wasathiyah through various initiatives, such as international conferences, scientific publications, institutional cooperation, and religious diplomacy. By analyzing al-Azhar's role in facing the challenges of religious extremism and radicalism, this paper contributes to the discussion on the future of moderate Islam and the significance of religious institutions in shaping inclusive and peaceful Islamic discourse and practice. The findings of this study emphasize the importance of al-Azhar's role as a key actor in the global geopolitical landscape, as well as its potential in promoting a balanced and contextual understanding of Islam in facing contemporary challenges
The Influence of Pricipal Transformtional Leadership on Teacher Motivation: A Literature review

Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi guru, salah satunya kepemimpinan transformasional. Kajian komprehensif mengenai pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap motivasi guru dilakukan di berbagai negara, termasuk Indonesia. Penelitian, terutama literature review mengenai pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah terhadap motivasi guru masih sangat terbatas. Sehingga artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah terhadap motivasi guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode literature review. Artikel yang diulas diperoleh dari Google Scholar dengan kata kunci “The Influence of Principal’s Transformational Leadership on Teacher Motivation”. Terdapat 20 artikel yang sesuai dengan kriteria untuk dilakukan ulasan lebih lanjut. Temuan dari literature review mengungkapkan bahwa sebagian besar artikel (17 artikel) menyatakan kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh positif dan sebagian besar dikatakan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi guru di berbagai negara, sedangkan 3 artikel lainnya menyatakan kepemimpinan transformasional tidak berpengaruh terhadap motivasi guru
Improving for Speaking Skills Using Siniar-Based Learning Media to Form Personal Branding of PGSD Students at West Sulawesi University
Get PDFSpeaking skills are one of the components of language skills that play a very prominent role in enhancing a person's communication skills. The rapid advancement of technology has a major consequence on the use of IT-based learning media, including in improving speaking skills. The purpose of this study was to describe the improvement of speaking skills using podcast-based learning media to form the personal branding of Primary Teacher Education students at the Universitas Sulawesi Barat and to develop students' public speaking skills. Therefore they could acknowledge their potential and begun to form personal branding with an acceptable image. The method used was a mixed method. The selection of research targets used the convenience sampling method involving 28 students of the Primary Teacher Education Study Program, batches of 2022 and 2023. The results obtained were an increase in students' speaking skills using podcast-based learning media. Meanwhile, student responses revealed that podcast media was very helpful in enhancing speaking skills because it instructed oneself to communicate well, and could eliminate nervousness. Mastery of speaking skills can be an alternative to forming personal branding. This is because someone can form their characteristics through speaking style
Transformative Leadership: Harnessing Religious Values for Positive Educational Outcomes
Get PDFThis research explores future educational leadership models with a focus on communication and human relations based on religious, philosophical, psychological, and sociological approaches. Using descriptive qualitative methods, data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews in several schools in Tangerang. The results showed that educational leaders who integrate spiritual values and ethical principles in their leadership practices are able to create a positive learning environment and support students' character development. Open and inclusive communication between leaders, staff and students contributes to improved motivation and performance. In addition, a deep understanding of psychological and sociological aspects assisted leaders in building healthy interpersonal relationships and creating fair policies. This study recommends the importance of continuous professional training for educational leaders to implement leadership models that are holistic and responsive to complex social dynamics. The findings are expected to contribute to the development of more effective and relevant educational leadership practices in the future

Get PDFThis research aims to analyze the efforts of the Ministry of Education and Culture to improve the quality and relevance of graduates through the Independent Learning-Free Campus (MBKM) policy. The implementation of MBKM requires special attention to the development of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program (PAI) curriculum, including adjustments to Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL), vision and mission, graduate profiles, courses, Body of Knowledge (BoK), and study language. The PAI curriculum development process also involves mapping courses according to categories, determining study materials, and descriptions to facilitate curriculum preparation. With an integrative approach, curriculum development at MBKM aims to achieve graduate competency standards from spiritual aspects and moral nobility. This document also highlights the importance of involving expert lecturers from various study programs in curriculum formulation, and emphasizes the need to determine courses to support the MBKM curriculum. Through a good curriculum development process, it is hoped that the PAI study program can produce graduates who are not only good at theory, but also able to excel in various other aspects
Trends in ‘Critical Thinking’ as a National Research Theme in Indonesia for the Period 2021 - 2024
Get PDFThis study aims to analyze the trend of students' critical thinking skills in national research proposals received by the Directorate of Research, Technology, and Community Service (DRTPM) in Indonesia over the past four years. Critical thinking is an essential ability in 21st-century education, which includes interpreting, analyzing, evaluating, and inferring information by students to produce solutions to real problems. Data were taken from research proposals received and approved by DRTPM from 2021 to 2024. The analysis method includes a descriptive quantitative assessment of the number of proposals that make students' critical thinking skills the central theme of education research. The study results show a significant improvement trend in the theme of students' critical thinking skills in the proposals submitted by researchers over the past four years, especially in implementing various efforts to improve students' critical thinking skills. These findings are expected to provide input for DRTPM to develop research policies and training programs to continue improving the quality of research in Indonesia
Development of Flip Book Maker Learning Media on Asymmetrical Styling Patterns for Bun and Hair Styling Course for Cosmetology Education Students, Universitas Negeri Medan
Get PDFThis study aims to determine the development of flipbook maker products as a learning media for asymmetrical pattern hairstyling and to determine the feasibility of flipbook maker as a learning media for asymmetrical pattern hairstyling. In this study the method used is research and development method (Research & Development), which is a research method that aims to develop and test a product that will be produced for learning activities. The data collection technique was done through a questionnaire. While the data analysis technique used is quantitative. The validation test was carried out by media experts and material experts consisting of three lecturers from the Faculty of Engineering, State University of Medan who are competent in hairdressing lessons. While media experts are three lecturers from the Faculty of Engineering, State University of Medan. The results showed that the product developed in the form of media flipbook maker teaching material for asymmetrical pattern hair styling based on the assessment of the material experts obtained a score of 92.2%, meaning that the material contained in the flipbook maker was declared very good. While the assessment of media experts, the product developed in the form of a flipbook maker on asymmetrical pattern hair styling material obtained a score of 93.2%, meaning that the media display contained in the flipbook maker was declared very good. Based on the results of the media product trials conducted on three groups, it can be seen that based on the calculation in the small group trial the overall results reached 87.3%, in the medium group trial the overall results reached 93.4%. Likewise, the calculation in the large group trial reached 94%, with an average overall score of 91.5%. It can be concluded that the media flipbook maker asymmetrical pattern hair styling material is declared feasible for use in learning activities by educators and students

Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Oktober di Sekolah Alam Al-Fath Jambi yang beralamat di Jalan Donorejo No. 8 Kelurahan Pasir Putih, kecamatan Jambi Selatan, Kota Jambi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan observasi langsung. Dengan hasil penelitian ini di dapatkan bahwa pelaksanaan program Leadership dan Entrepreneurship diintegrasikan dengan metode pembelajaran melalui pengalaman, seperti kegiatan outbond yang menjadi wadah pengembangan karakter melalui pengalaman langsung. Keseluruhan, program ini tidak hanya memberikan keterampilan kepemimpinan dan kewirausahaan, tetapi juga membentuk karakter positif siswa sesuai dengan nilai-nilai akhlakul karimah
