Integration of Information Literacy into the Primary Education Curriculum: A Study of Elementary School Libraries in Enrekang Regency
Get PDFThe rapid development of information technology demands that learners acquire information literacy skills from an early age as part of 21st-century competencies. Information literacy encompasses not only the ability to search for and use information but also the skills to evaluate, process, and present information critically and ethically. In the context of primary education, the curriculum and school library play a strategic role in laying the foundation for information literacy from an early stage. This study aims to explore how the integration of information literacy into the primary education curriculum is implemented in elementary schools in Enrekang Regency, as well as how school libraries contribute to supporting this process. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a case study method in three elementary schools that have active library programs. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with teachers, librarians, and principals; observation of literacy activities; and document analysis (lesson plans, syllabi, and library programs). The findings indicate that the integration of information literacy remains incidental and is not yet structured within the formal curriculum. School libraries have made efforts to become open learning spaces, yet their role has not been fully optimized due to limited resources and coordination among school stakeholders. The implication is that supportive policies are needed to systematically strengthen information literacy through curriculum integration, teacher training, and the revitalization of school libraries as literacy centers and learning resource hubs
The Role of Arabic in Enriching the Indonesian Language Repertoire
Get PDFThe arrival of Islam in Indonesia had a big influence on Indonesian society. This research tries to reveal the influence of Arabic on Indonesian which has long been consumed by Indonesian people in everyday language. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a loan word approach which results in many linguistic absorption phenomena occurring in the Indonesian language caused by Arabic, such as Arabic vocabulary whose spelling is relatively the same as the original having to experience vowel shortening, Arabic vocabulary undergoing changes. in pronunciation, Arabic vocabulary whose meaning is the same as the meaning intended in Arabic, and Arabic vocabulary whose meaning has changed from its original meaning. Arabic also influences loan words in Indonesia. This is because Arabic is a language that also contains Islamic religious and cultural concepts. Examples of influence can be seen from naming, use of expressions, use of literary terms and terms in state administration. There are similarities in Arabic vocabulary which is almost the same as Indonesian. Meanwhile, Arabic and Indonesian have a relationship with the majority of the Indonesian population, the majority of whom are Muslim, so that Arabic and Indonesian are the languages of preaching and the language of science
Reducing the Negative Behavior of Children with Oppositional Defiant Disorder by Providing Reinforcement Techniques at SLBN 1 Ampek Angkek
Get PDFPenelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan permasalahan yang ditemukan di SLB N 1 Ampek Angkek. Hasil permasalahan yang ditemukan adalah adanya seorang anak yang teridentifikasi oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) yang memiliki perilaku negatif yaitu memukul teman. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui apakah perilaku memukul teman pada anak oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) dapat berkurang dengan pemberian teknik reinforcement. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan Single Subject Research (SSR). Desain yang digunakan adalah A-B-A1. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis melalui statistik deskriptif dan ditampilkan dalam bentuk tabel dan grafik polygon. Komponen-komponen yang dianalisis meliputi analisis dalam kondisi dan analisis antar kondisi.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penurunan frekuensi perilaku negatif khususnya perilaku memukul teman pada subjek. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, perilaku memukul teman pada anak oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) dapat berkurang dengan pemberian teknik reinforcement. serta didukung tingkat overlap yang rendah. Pada hasil analisis antarkondisi baseline-I dengan intervensi presentase overlap sebesar 30 % dan menurun pada analisis antarkondisi intervensi dengan baseline-II yaitu 0%. Secara keseluruhan perilaku memukul teman pada anak oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) di SLB N 1 Ampek Angkek dapat berkurang dengan pemberian teknik reinforcement.

The Influence of the School Literacy Movement on Students' Reading Interest

Employing a quantitative approach with an associative method, the research aims to discern relationships between two or more variables, exploring roles, influences, and causative connections. The analysis employed in this research is the technique of simple linear regression, seeking to determine the influence of the school literacy movement on students' reading interest. The research findings indicate that the School Literacy Movement has a significant positive impact on students' reading interest. The strong correlation between participation in the school literacy movement and increased reading interest highlights the program's success in stimulating students' interest in literature. Consequently, the School Literacy Movement emerges as a crucial element in promoting students' reading interest, and these findings provide a foundation for the development of broader literacy strategies within the educational environment

Power Point -based media on material on Principles of LandMeasurement for Construction Work. Very Eligible Criteria based on 90% material expertassessment. Based on 98% language expert assessment. Based on a Design expertassessment of 92%. Media Practicality is categorized as very practical based on 90%individual trials and 91% field trials. The criteria are very effective with an effective mediapercentage of 94%. Efforts to Improve Understanding of Energy Concepts in Science Subjects through Constructivism Learning Model for Students of Class IV UPT SDN 59 Pinrang
Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran menggunakan model konstruktivisme yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam konsep energi siswa kelas IV UPT SDN 59 Kabupaten Pinrang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV UPT SDN 59 Kabupaten Pinrang tahun ajaran 2023/2024 yang berjumlah 20 siswa. Desain penelitian ini meliputi (1) tahapan perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan, (3) pengamatan dan (4) refleksi. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) tes, (2) observasi dan (3) dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi dan tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model konstruktivisme dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA konsep energi pada siswa kelas IV UPT SDN 59 Kabupaten Pinrang. Rata-rata hasil belajar pra siklus sebesar 54,52 dan sedikit mengalami peningkatan pada siswa secara keseluruhan pada siklus I sebesar 63,3, setelah dilakukan perbaikan dengan membagi kelompok sesuai hasil belajar siklus I, membagi tugas pada setiap anggota kelompok, memberikan waktu kepada siswa untuk melakukan proses pemahaman konsep energi menggunakan model konstruktivisme dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA pada siswa menjadi 75,24 pada siklus II
The Implementation of Emancipated Curriculum: Teachers’ Strategies in Teaching English Writing
Get PDFThe curriculum significantly influences the direction of classroom learning activities. In an era where adapting to rapid change is essential, the Kurikulum Merdeka (emancipated curriculum) has been introduced to address educational needs. This article explores how teachers implement strategies for teaching English writing based on the emancipated curriculum, along with the challenges they encounter. The research involved two English teachers from Islamic junior high schools, both teaching seventh graders. Data was gathered through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings revealed that students were highly engaged in English writing due to the teaching strategies employed, making the learning experience more enjoyable and engaging. In the application of the emancipated curriculum, teachers acted primarily as facilitators, guiding students to take a more active role in their learning. The study suggests that the teachers' strategies were well-suited to the students' abilities and learning needs.
 
Students' Perception of the Quality of Counseling Guidance Teacher Services
Get PDFThis study aims to identify students' perceptions of the quality of Guidance and Counseling (BK) teacher services at school, specifically at the Delisha Education Foundation. Students' perceptions of BK services encompass aspects of discipline, appearance, BK teachers' understanding of the guidance field, types of services provided, and BK teachers' skills in delivering services. The research employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, involving 5 eleventh-grade students as research subjects. Data were collected through interviews and observations, then analyzed using the interactive analysis model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results of the study indicate that students have a positive view of the role of BK teachers. They perceive that BK teachers are able to provide emotional support and practical solutions effectively in helping them overcome personal, academic, and social problems. BK teachers are also considered to have good listening and understanding skills regarding students' issues and provide sufficient information about career options and educational paths after graduation. However, some students suggested that the availability of BK teachers' time should be increased for more optimal service. This study is expected to provide valuable insights into efforts to improve guidance and counseling services in schools and support the optimal development of students
