    The Effectiveness of the Mind Mapping Model on Elementary School Students’ Learning Outcomes in Indonesian Language Subjects

    This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Mind Mapping learning model on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN 207 Gresik in the Indonesian language subject. The background of this research is the low student achievement in understanding reading materials, identifying main ideas, and connecting information within texts—primarily caused by the use of conventional, less engaging teaching methods. The Mind Mapping model was chosen because it is believed to help students visually and logically organize information, thereby enhancing conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills. This research employed an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 30 randomly selected fourth-grade students. The instruments used included multiple-choice and essay tests as well as student perception questionnaires. The validity and reliability tests indicated that all instruments met the necessary standards. The t-test results showed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes after implementing the Mind Mapping model in the experimental class compared to the control class. In conclusion, the application of the Mind Mapping learning model is effective in improving student achievement in the Indonesian language subject and can serve as an innovative alternative teaching strategy in elementary education. &nbsp

    The Influence of Principal's Authentic Leadership, Responsible Management Education and Teacher Performance Motivation on Continuing Education in Public Junior High Schools in Jambi City

    Leadership plays a strategic role in realizing quality education. This study aims to analyze the influence of authentic leadership of principals, responsible management education, and teacher performance motivation on continuing education in junior high schools in Jambi City. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey technique on principals and teachers. Data were obtained from 221 respondents and analyzed using Pearson correlation and multiple regression. The results of the analysis show that all three variables have a significant relationship with continuing education (p < 0.001), with responsible management education showing the highest correlation (r = 0.792). However, in the regression model, only responsible management education has a significant direct effect on continuing education (β = 0.762; p < 0.001). This model explains 62.9% of the variation in continuing education (R² = 0.629). These findings emphasize the importance of responsible management education practices in supporting the implementation of continuing education in schools. This study contributes to the development of educational leadership studies in Indonesia and recommends strengthening sustainability-based leadership training programs at the secondary education level

    The effect of using web-based Kahoot media on the learning outcomes of grade X students in informatics subject at MAN Sidrap

    This study aims to determine the influence of using web-based Kahoot media on the learning outcomes of Grade X students at MAN Sidrap. Kahoot is a game-based learning application designed to enhance student engagement through interactive online quizzes. This research employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design. The research sample consisted of two classes: the experimental class using Kahoot media and the control class using conventional teaching methods. The instrument used was a learning outcomes test.  The analysis results showed that the average learning outcome of students in the experimental class was 75.29, while the control class had an average of 61.55. This difference indicates that the use of Kahoot media had a positive and significant effect on improving student learning outcomes. Kahoot was proven to create a more engaging, interactive, and competitive learning environment, thereby increasing student motivation and understanding of the material

    The Effectiveness of the Drill Method in Teaching Pianika to Children with Cerebral Palsy at SLB Rumah Pintar Salatiga

    This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of pianica music learning using the drill method in improving fine motor skills among children with cerebral palsy (CP) at the Rumah Pintar Special Needs School in Salatiga. The research employed a qualitative case study approach involving five students with varying degrees of CP severity. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation to assess the impact of repetitive and structured practice using the pianica as a learning medium. The findings revealed significant improvements in fine motor skills, particularly in hand-eye coordination, finger strength, and rhythm pattern comprehension. Initially, students struggled with simple rhythmic patterns, but after 12 sessions, their success rate increased to 80% with more complex rhythms. The drill method also had a positive impact on students’ motivation and confidence. Previously passive students became more enthusiastic and willing to take on new challenges. The study also found that the degree of CP severity affected the learning outcomes, highlighting the need for individualized teaching approaches. In conclusion, the drill method using the pianica is effective in enhancing fine motor abilities and supporting the psychological development of children with CP. This approach can serve as a relevant strategy for special education and is worth adopting more broadly

    The influence of work professionalism and quality of public services on employee performance at the Bappelitbangda Office of Teluk Bintuni Regency, West Papua Province

    The provision of good quality public services is still considered lacking to the community, especially for people in Teluk Bintuni Regency. This is due to discriminatory treatment in providing services to the community, low seriousness in providing services, especially in the consistency of working hours and lack of response to community complaints. To overcome these conditions, it is necessary to make efforts to improve the quality of public service delivery on an ongoing basis. The provision of quality services to the public is very intersecting with the bureaucracy. One of the bureaucracies in Teluk Bintuni Regency is the Bappelitbangda Office or commonly called Bapedda. The improvement in the quality of public services is suspected to increase if service providers carry out work professionalism. This has a partial effect. It has also been tested that there is a partial positive influence between professionalism on the quality of employee performance at the Bappelitbangda office of Teluk Bintuni Regency, West Papua.

    The effect of applying the problem-based learning model on the mathematical problem-solving ability of grade X students at MAS Madinatussalam, Sei Rotan Village

    This research was conducted with the aim of: (1) knowing the differences in students' mathematical abilities before and after being given treatment using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model, (2) knowing the effect of the Problem Based Learning learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities, (3) knowing the differences in students' mathematical problem solving abilities taught with the Problem Based Learning learning model and the Conventional learning model, (4) knowing how the students' answer process was in the Problem Based Learning class posttest, with a pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were 30 students, and the learning was carried out in four meetings. The data collection methods used were through pretest and posttest of students' mathematical problem solving abilities, observation of teacher activities, and observation of student activities. The results of the study showed that: (1) the results of the Paired Sample t-test showed that the calculated t-value (4.352) > t-table (1.697) and the Sig. value. (0.000) < (0.05, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning there is an average difference in students' mathematical problem solving abilities before and after the PBL model is applied. (2) the results of the simple linear regression test obtained a Sig. value (0.000) < (0.05) and t-count (4.779) < t-table (1.697), H0is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning that the Problem Based Learning learning model has a significant effect on students' mathematical problem solving abilities, (3) the results of the independent sample t-test can be seen from the calculated t value (8.501) > t table (1.697) and the Sg. value (0.001) < (0.05), then H0is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning there is an average difference in the final (posttest) mathematical problem solving abilities of students in the Problem Based Learning class and the Conventional class, (4) the process of students' answers in the final test with the PBL model shows that the category of students' problem-solving abilities in the final test is already in the very good category, this can be seen from the average post-test score of the PBL class which is 90. Therefore, it is recommended for mathematics teachers to use the Problem Based Learning learning model as an effort to improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities

    The Effect of Visionary School Principal Leadership and Organizational Culture on Teacher Performance in Junior High Schools

    The purpose of this study was to examine the partial effects of visionary school leadership and organizational culture on teacher performance. This study used a quantitative approach. The population of this study consisted of all junior high school teachers in Pringsewu Regency, Lampung Province, totaling 822 teachers. From this population, a sample of 274 teachers was selected using proportional random sampling. Data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale. The data analysis technique used in this study was simple regression. The results showed that the direct influence of visionary leadership on teacher performance was 77.8%. Meanwhile, the direct influence of organizational culture on teacher performance was 74.5%. Further research is recommended to expand the sample and use a qualitative approach to obtain more in-depth results

    Program magang mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Enrekang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas pelaku usaha mikro melalui penerapan keilmuan di lapangan. Salah satu bentuk implementasinya adalah kegiatan pemberdayaan terhadap usaha Tempe Cahaya Putri Restu yang berlokasi di Kabupaten Enrekang. Usaha rumahan ini memiliki potensi besar dalam pengembangan produk tempe sebagai makanan tradisional yang digemari masyarakat. Namun, masih terdapat berbagai kendala dalam aspek pemasaran, seperti kurangnya inovasi promosi, keterbatasan jangkauan pasar, dan rendahnya pemanfaatan media digital. Oleh karena itu, pendekatan strategi pemasaran diterapkan oleh mahasiswa magang untuk membantu pelaku usaha dalam meningkatkan daya saing produknya. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi observasi langsung, wawancara, diskusi partisipatif, serta pelatihan praktis yang berfokus pada digital marketing, branding, dan pengemasan produk. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman pelaku usaha terhadap pentingnya strategi pemasaran yang efektif dan modern, serta adanya peningkatan penjualan dan jangkauan konsumen. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif tidak hanya bagi pelaku usaha, tetapi juga bagi mahasiswa magang sebagai bentuk penerapan ilmu yang kontekstual.     Bimbingan Klasikal Berbasis Mindfulness dan Dampaknya terhadap Motivasi Belajar Siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas

    This study aims to examine the effect of mindfulness-based classical guidance on improving students’ learning motivation at SMA Negeri 7 Sinjai. The scope of the research focuses on grade XI students who exhibited low levels of learning motivation, by analyzing changes in motivation after receiving the intervention of mindfulness-based classical guidance services. The study employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of 60 students selected purposively, and then divided into two groups: 30 students as the experimental group who received mindfulness-based classical guidance services, and 30 students as the control group without treatment. The research instrument was a learning motivation questionnaire using a Likert scale that had been tested for validity and reliability. The findings reveal a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. The distribution of learning motivation scores in the experimental group showed a substantial improvement, shifting from low and medium categories to high and very high categories. In contrast, the control group remained predominantly in the low and medium categories. An independent t-test indicated a significance value of 0.010 (< 0.05), confirming that mindfulness-based classical guidance interventions positively influence the enhancement of students’ learning motivation. In conclusion, the implementation of mindfulness-based classical guidance is proven effective in helping students improve focus, emotional regulation, self-awareness, and the ability to manage academic stress. Therefore, this approach can serve as an alternative strategy for guidance and counseling services to foster students’ learning motivation while providing practical contributions to the development of counseling practices in secondary schools. &nbsp

    Pemanfaatan Media Augmented Reality (AR) untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi dan Keterampilan Menulis di Pendidikan Dasar

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas media Augmented Reality (AR) dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan keterampilan menulis siswa sekolah dasar. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya minat dan hasil belajar siswa dalam kegiatan menulis akibat penggunaan media pembelajaran konvensional yang kurang menarik. Penelitian dilaksanakan di salah satu sekolah dasar di Kota Makassar dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan desain quasi-eksperimen tipe non-equivalent control group design. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan media AR dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode konvensional, masing-masing terdiri dari 30 siswa. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket motivasi belajar dan tes keterampilan menulis. Data dikumpulkan melalui pretest dan posttest dan dianalisis menggunakan uji paired sample t-test dan independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media AR secara signifikan meningkatkan motivasi dan kemampuan menulis siswa. Rata-rata skor motivasi belajar meningkat dari 60 menjadi 85, sedangkan skor keterampilan menulis meningkat dari 65 menjadi 88 pada kelas eksperimen. Sebaliknya, kelas kontrol menunjukkan peningkatan yang lebih kecil. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa media AR mampu menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih kontekstual dan menyenangkan, serta meningkatkan daya imajinasi dan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses menulis. Dengan demikian, media AR merupakan inovasi pembelajaran yang efektif dan relevan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dasar, khususnya dalam pengembangan keterampilan literasi siswa
