    The effect of the cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) learning model on learning motivation and reading comprehension ability of upper-grade students at SD Negeri 14 Batarang

    This research is a quantitative study. The population and sample in this research consisted of all upper-grade students, totaling 30 students. The data collection techniques used were tests, observations, and documentation. The data analysis techniques included descriptive analysis, Paired Sample t-Test, Homogeneity Test, and Independent Sample t-Test using IBM SPSS Statistics software.The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model in improving students’ learning motivation and reading comprehension ability at the elementary school level. The study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, involving an experimental class taught using the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model and a control class taught using conventional methods. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, frequency distribution, homogeneity test, Paired Sample t-Test, and Independent Sample t-Test. The results of the study revealed that the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model was significantly more effective in increasing students’ learning motivation compared to conventional learning. The average motivation score of students in the experimental class increased from 68.47 to 89.73, while in the control class it only increased from 60.67 to 67.40. Moreover, the evenness of results was better indicated by the decrease in standard deviation, and the statistical tests showed a significant difference (Sig. < 0.05).In terms of reading comprehension ability, the findings also demonstrated significant effectiveness. The average score of the experimental class increased from 67.53 to 92.00, whereas the control class only increased from 64.53 to 77.53. A total of 94% of students in the experimental class achieved the “Excellent” category, while none in the control class reached this level. The t-test results also indicated a significant difference (Sig. < 0.05), with homogeneous variance ensuring valid comparison.Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model is effective in enhancing elementary school students’ learning motivation and reading comprehension ability in an optimal and equitable manner

    Perkembangan teknologi informasi di era revolusi industri 4.0 telah mendorong perpustakaan perguruan tinggi untuk bertransformasi menjadi pusat sumber daya digital guna mendukung proses pembelajaran modern. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran staf perpustakaan UIN Datokarama Palu dalam pengembangan layanan digital, mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi, serta merumuskan strategi optimalisasi peran staf perpustakaan dalam meningkatkan kualitas layanan digital. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa staf perpustakaan memiliki peran penting dalam pengelolaan koleksi digital, peningkatan kompetensi digital, dan optimalisasi interaksi layanan digital berbasis teknologi. Namun, kendala berupa keterbatasan kompetensi digital staf perpustakaan dan kurangnya infrastruktur pendukung masih menjadi tantangan utama. Temuan ini berimplikasi pada perlunya pengembangan program pelatihan kompetensi digital secara berkelanjutan serta implementasi strategi inovatif untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan perpustakaan digital. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan pelatihan berbasis praktik dan ptimalisasi platform layanan digital untuk meningkatkan aksesibilitas informasi bagi pemustaka

    Verbal Clauses in the Lamaholot Language, Lewoawan Dialect: A Morphosyntactic-Typological Study

    This research examines verb change process, verb clause’s basic structure, and the typology aspects of BLDL verbal clauses as part of the Morphosyntactic Typology study. The data of this qualitative descriptive research comes from daily conversations of the Lewoawan village community. Data collection techniques include free-involved listening-speaking, recording and taking notes. The data were analyzed by reducing, presenting and drawing conclusions. The results show that (1) syntactically BLDL verbs consist of intransitive and transitive verbs, (2) morphologically BLDL incomplete verbs require the attachment of clitics and verb markers that are adjusted to the sentence’s subject pronoun, (3) the basic structures of BLDL verbal clauses are intransitive, mono-transitive and ditransitive, (4) the typology of word order in BLDL verb clauses is SV in intransitive, SVO in mono-transitive and SVOO in ditransitive, (5) grammatically typologically BLDL is an Active Language, namely treating A the same as S and the same as P

    Implementation of Risk Management Development Principles

    Risk management is the process of identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks that may be faced by an organization or individual in achieving certain goals. Although risk management has many benefits, there are still various challenges in its implementation. Some of them are lack of understanding and awareness of the importance of risk management, limited resources, and resistance to change. Therefore, an appropriate strategy is needed so that the principles of risk management can be applied optimally. The purpose of this study is to discuss the application of risk management development principles in various sectors, the challenges faced, and recommendations to improve its effectiveness. It is hoped that this paper can provide deeper insight into the importance of risk management in supporting organizational sustainability. The research method that will be used in this study is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The results of the study show that the application of effective risk management principles can help organizations anticipate and overcome various challenges and minimize possible negative impacts. In addition, risk management not only functions as a threat mitigation tool, but also as a means to increase organizational competitiveness. awareness and commitment from all elements in the organization are essential to ensure the success of risk management implementation

    The Influence of Parental Motivation on Students' Guitar Learning Outcomes at Percik Music School

    This study aims to examine the influence of parental motivation on students' guitar learning outcomes at the Percik Music School. The background of this research is based on the important role parents play in supporting children's learning processes, particularly in the context of non-formal music education such as guitar courses. Although many studies have shown that parental motivation significantly contributes to academic achievement, few have specifically investigated this relationship within private instrumental music learning. This study employs a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The sample consists of 35 students and their parents who actively participate in the guitar learning program. The instruments used include a parental motivation questionnaire and documentation of students' learning outcome scores. The data were analyzed using classical assumption tests, Pearson correlation, and simple linear regression. The results of the classical assumption tests indicate that the data are normally distributed, free from heteroscedasticity, and meet the linearity assumption. However, the Pearson correlation test results show no significant relationship between parental motivation and students' guitar learning outcomes (r = -0.207; p = 0.290). The regression results also indicate that parental motivation does not have a significant effect on learning outcomes (p = 0.290). These findings suggest that other factors, such as students’ intrinsic motivation, frequency of independent practice, or the quality of instruction, play a greater role in determining guitar learning outcomes. Therefore, effective guitar learning should not rely solely on parental support but also aim to strengthen students' internal motivation and active engagement in the music learning process

    CLIL in Action: Enhancing Academic Writing and Content Knowledge in Indonesian University Students

    This study investigates the effectiveness of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) in enhancing English writing proficiency and content knowledge among undergraduate students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Enrekang, Indonesia. A mixed-methods design was employed, combining quantitative pre-test and post-test assessments with qualitative surveys and classroom observations. The quantitative results revealed significant improvements in students' writing skills, particularly in structure, coherence, vocabulary, and grammar, with large effect sizes observed across these components. Additionally, students demonstrated considerable gains in their understanding of academic content, specifically in concept comprehension and terminology mastery. The qualitative data further supported these findings, with students reporting increased confidence in their academic writing and better integration of content knowledge and language. Classroom observations indicated that the structured writing tasks within CLIL lessons allowed students to better organize their thoughts and express complex ideas in English. However, the study also identified challenges, particularly in mastering academic terminology and integrating complex content with language learning. These findings suggest that CLIL is an effective pedagogical approach for improving both language proficiency and content knowledge, particularly in non-native English-speaking contexts. The study also highlights the importance of targeted vocabulary instruction and scaffolded content delivery to address the challenges faced by students. The results provide valuable insights into how CLIL can be adapted to enhance the quality of education in Indonesian higher education, particularly in regions with lower English proficiency. Future research could explore the long-term effects of CLIL and its potential for wider implementation across different academic disciplines in Indonesia

    Filsafat pendidikan merupakan kajian mendalam yang bertujuan untuk menggali prinsip-prinsip dasar pendidikan serta menjelaskan tujuan, nilai, dan metode yang seharusnya diterapkan dalam dunia pendidikan. Artikel ini membahas hubungan erat antara filsafat dan pendidikan, dengan menyoroti pentingnya filsafat sebagai dasar dalam pengembangan ilmu pendidikan. Filsafat memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang hakikat manusia, tujuan pendidikan, serta pendekatan yang tepat dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan filsafat pendidikan adalah menginspirasi proses pembelajaran yang ideal, sekaligus memberikan panduan dalam merumuskan kebijakan pendidikan. Di samping itu, filsafat pendidikan juga berfungsi untuk mengembangkan pemikiran kritis dan reflektif, mendorong inovasi, serta menyatukan teori dan praktik dalam pendidikan. Dalam kajian ini, juga dibahas tentang ruang lingkup filsafat pendidikan, termasuk masalah metafisika, epistemologi, etika, dan estetika yang relevan dengan pendidikan. Dengan demikian, filsafat pendidikan memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam mengarahkan pendidikan agar dapat menghasilkan generasi yang cerdas, berkarakter, dan berwawasan luas dalam menghadapi tantangan masa depan

    Dalam era modern yang ditandai dengan ledakan informasi dan perkembangan teknologi yang pesat, kemampuan berpikir kritis menjadi keterampilan yang sangat penting bagi setiap individu. Filsafat, sebagai ilmu yang mengajarkan cara berpikir sistematis, logis, dan reflektif, berperan sebagai pondasi utama dalam membentuk pola pikir kritis. Artikel ini membahas dua aspek penting: pertama, hubungan antara filsafat dan berpikir kritis, di mana filsafat menyediakan kerangka konsep dan metode seperti analisis logis, argumentasi rasional, dan sikap skeptis yang konstruktif sebagai dasar dalam mengevaluasi informasi secara objektif. Kedua, peran filsafat dalam membangun kemampuan berpikir kritis yang lebih luas di masyarakat modern, termasuk kontribusinya dalam pendidikan, pengambilan keputusan etis, dan penyaringan arus informasi yang sering kali bias atau menyesatkan. Dengan mengkaji relevansi prinsip-prinsip filsafat klasik dan kontemporer, tulisan ini menegaskan bahwa filsafat tidak hanya relevan di ranah akademik, tetapi juga menjadi alat praktis yang mendukung individu dalam menghadapi tantangan kompleks di zaman modern

    Analisis Program Literasi Sekolah: studi Kasus pada Implementasi program Wajib Baca di Perpustakaan Nurul Ilmi UPT SPF SD Inpres Perumnas

    Artikel ini membahas tentang analisis program wajib baca di perpustakaan      sekolah: studi kasus pada implementasi program wajib baca di perpustakaan Nurul Ilmi UPT SPF SD Inpres Perumnas. Adapun pokok permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1) Bagaimana bentuk Efektivitas Program Literasi Perpustakaan sekolah di perpustakaan Nurul Ilmi UPT SPF SD Inpres Perumanas makassar 2) Apa dampak program wajib baca perpustakaan sekolah terhadap pengembangan kebiasaan membaca di kalangan peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan melakukan penggambaran secara mendalam tentang objek yang diteliti. Adapun sumber data penelitian ini adalah pustakawan, guru dan peserta didik. Sedangkan metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Selanjutnya, teknik pengolahan dan analisis data dilakukan dengan melalui tiga tahap, yaitu: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa implementasi program wajib baca di perpustakaan Nurul ilmi ditemukan beberapa bentuk efektifitas serta dampak terhadap pengembangan kebiasaan membaca dikalangan peserta didik yang diklaim sebagai hasil temuan peneliti, yaitu: 1) Efektivitas Program Wajib Baca dapat diukur melalui partisipasi dan keterlibatan Peserta didik dalam kegiatan membaca, peningkatan kemampuan literasi, minat dan kebiasaan membaca, pemanfaatan fasilitas perpustakan serta dukungan guru dan pustakawan program wajib baca (PROWABACA) tersebut telah berhasil meningkatkan efektifitas dan mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dengan adanya program literasi tersebut. 2) program literasi Wajib Baca memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap perilaku dan kebiasaan Peserta didik, peningkatan prestasi akademik, pemanfaatan perpustakaan serta  kepercayaan diri dan kreativitas Peserta didik. Peserta didik menjadi lebih percaya diri dalam berbicara dan membaca, serta mampu mengekspresikan ide-ide kreatif mereka melalui tulisan, seni, atau diskusi. Implikasi pada penelitian ini adalah diharapkan penelitian mampu menjadi acuan atau masukan kepada perpustakaan Nurul Ilmi dan juga menambah wawasan pengelola perpustakaan dalam menjalankan tugas dan tanggung jawabnya dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi pemustaka terkhusus dalam menjalankan program lietrasi wajib baca

    The Development of Digital Learning Media Based on Canva with a 5W1H Approach to Enhance Short Story Writing Skills Among Elementary School Students in Sintang Regency

    In the digital era, the low writing skills in narrative composition among elementary school students and the lack of engaging learning media present significant challenges in the educational process. This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a digital learning medium based on Canva, utilizing the 5W1H approach, to enhance the narrative writing skills of elementary school students in the Sintang District. The research employs the Research and Development (R&D) methodology with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects of this study were fifth and sixth-grade students from several elementary schools in Sintang District. The results of expert validation indicated that the media was deemed appropriate for use, with high validity scores. The small-scale and large-scale trials demonstrated a significant improvement in students' narrative writing skills, as evidenced by the pretest and posttest results. This media also facilitated students' understanding of both the intrinsic and extrinsic elements of short stories and contributed to increased motivation and engagement in the learning process. Canva was an effective tool in creating an interactive and innovative learning experience
