Health Efficiency Measurement of Turkish Provinces Using DEA, TOPSIS and EDAS Methods
International Conference on Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) -- SEP 04-06, 2023 -- Guildford, ENGLANDEpidemic diseases and increasing disease types in recent years once again reveal the importance of the health sector. For this reason, efficiency evaluation has become popular in the health sector, as in every sector. This study aimed to evaluate the health services performance of 81 provinces in Turkiye. The input-oriented CCR model was used for efficiency measurement. The input-oriented SE-CCR model was used to evaluate the efficient provinces among themselves, and TOPSIS and EDAS methods were used to rank them. TOBIT analysis was conducted to determine the factors affecting the efficiency. In the study, analyses were carried out using three inputs and three outputs. According to the results of the input-oriented CCR model, 7 provinces were found to be efficient, while the remaining Decision Making Units (DMUs) were inefficient. Using TOBIT analysis, the effects of input and output variables on efficiency scores were determined. Efficient DMUs were evaluated among themselves by comparing the results of the CCR Super Efficiency (CCR-SE) model, TOPSIS and EDAS method. The relationship between the CCR-SE model, TOPSIS and EDAS methods was determined using Spearman's rho method. The study results reveal that using the DEA method and MCDM methods together is very useful for comparing and ranking efficient DMUs.Univ Surrey, Cent Business Analy
Prediction of Flexural Strength with Fuzzy Logic Approach for Fused Deposition Modeling of Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol Components
Additive manufacturing (AM) is a preferred industrial manufacturing method for modeling and rapid prototyping of physical systems. The final product in AM must have appropriate mechanical properties, such as flexural strength and be of good quality. The selection of printing parameters is essential for this reason. In this study, three critical printing parameters, such as layer thickness (100-200-300 mu m), raster angle (0-30-60 degrees), and infill density (40-60-80%) were examined. The analysis of variance method was used to look at the relationship between these parameters and the flexure strength of samples fabricated using the fused deposition modeling technique with polyethylene terephthalate glycol material. The experimental design process was performed using Taguchi L9 orthogonal design. Fuzzy logic-based modeling was applied to estimate the flexural strength. The results demonstrated that the infill density is the most important parameter affecting flexural strength compared to the other parameters. The highest strength of 57.76 MPa was achieved when the layer thickness, raster angle, and infill density were set to 100 mu m, 60 degrees, and 80%, respectively. The fuzzy logic provided a high-accuracy estimation of the flexural strength with a maximum percentage error of 2.65%. Consequently, it was determined that the model and experimental results were in agreement
Statistical order limit points in Riesz spaces
The concept of statistical order convergence of sequences in Riesz spaces was introduced and studied. In the present paper, we define the statistical order limit points of a sequence (xn) as a vector x that is the order limit of a subsequence (xk)k is an element of K of (xn) such that the set K does not have density zero. Moreover, we introduce the statistical order cluster points of sequences in Riesz spaces, and also, we give some relations between them

New geometric magnetic energy according to geometric Frenet formulas
Geometric calculus is a special case of the Non-Newtonian Calculus introduced by Grossman and Katz (Non-Newtonian calculus, Lee Press, Pigeon Cove, 1972). Also, it is a more convenient calculation method for situations where the geometric increment is more meaningful than the arithmetic increment. In this study, geometric curves are defined and geometric Frenet-Serret formulas for these curves are presented. Furthermore, we give applications of these concepts to geometric magnetic curves
Parasite Society: Harassing the Truth in a Society of Fatigue
Criticisms on the failures of the modernity project by those who think about what is happening in the social world, from social scientists and writers to thinkers and artists increase daily. In this regard, Byung-Chul Han, a German thinker of South Korean origin is one of the most popular names in recent times and has also managed to attract attention with his criticisms of the changing dimensions of neoliberalism and capitalism prevalent in the post-industrial age. Similarly, the film Parasite, which was released in 2019 and attracted attention by winning Oscar awards in many branches, appears as a cinematic criticism of the capitalist mentality and the problems it has created. This masterpiece by the famous South Korean director Bong Joon-ho reveals the drama of a lower-class family caught in the grip of greed, resentment, and imitation, showing how capitalism deepens the division between classes with each passing day. The film reveals the situation of late modern people who are crushed under commands such as positivity performance, passion for being smooth and perfect, compulsion to perform and compete, success and self-marketing, while dreaming of having a job and a more comfortable life. Rather than analyze a film in a sociological context, the article aims to make a modest contribution to the analysis of modern society, starting from the perspe-ctive of a South Korean writer and director and his proposal for a new society in the form of the parasitic society
An Overview of Dyscalculia from the Perspective of Mathematics Teachers
