No full textThis report examines the reasons behind ArcelorMittal's decision to cut hundreds of jobs at ArcelorMittal France's production sites. The problems of market saturation, financialisation and tax optimisation within the ArcelorMittal group, as well as the lack of ambitious European environmental protection, are factors that are not only leading to job cuts but also to a failure to invest in new green production capacities. In order to compensate for these shortcomings on the part of the reference shareholder, the prospect of nationalisation and an estimate of its cost are being considered. This nationalisation is a necessary condition for ensuring the investments required for the green transition of France's most polluting industrial group and for guaranteeing the maintenance of sovereignty in the production of steel, which supplies many industrial sectors.Ce rapport examine les raisons qui poussent le groupe ArcelorMittal à supprimer des centaines d'emplois sur les sites de production d'ArcelorMittal France. Les problèmes de débouchés d'un marché mondial saturé, de la financiarisation et de l'optimisation fiscale du groupe ArcelorMittal, ainsi que l'absence d'une protection écologique européenne ambitieuse, sont des éléments qui poussent non seulement aux suppressions de postes mais aussi au non investissement dans de nouvelles capacités de productions vertes. Afin de palier ces carences de l'actionnaire de référence, la perspective d'une nationalisation et une estimation de son coût sont envisagées. Cette nationalisation est la condition nécessaire pour assurer les investissements nécessaires à la transition verte du groupe industriel le plus polluant de France, et pour garantir le maintien d'une souveraineté dans la production de l'acier qui alimente de nombreuses filières industrielles. Engagement in Preexposure Prophylaxis Care at 1 Year Among Men Who Have Sex With Men Enrolled in the French ANRS PREVENIR Cohort Study
No full textInternational audienceWe evaluated 1-year engagement in pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) care and associated factors among gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM) in a large cohort of oral PrEP users in the Paris region, France. Methods We included in this analysis cisgender GBMSM enrolled in the ANRS PREVENIR cohort study from 3 May 2017 to 28 February 2019. We categorized 1-year PrEP engagement into 4 categories: high (consistent visits, attendance, and prescription refills at months 3, 6, 9, and 12), low (missed visits or no prescription refills), disengagement (PrEP discontinuation), and lost to follow-up. We used a logistic regression model to identify sociodemographic and behavioral factors associated with high engagement in PrEP care. Results Of 3211 participants, 2685 GBMSM were included in the analysis. At enrollment, participants had a median age of 36 years, with 88% born in Europe and 52.4% already undergoing PrEP. At month 12, 1612 (60.0%) participants met the high engagement definition, 438 (16.3%) exhibited low engagement, 459 (17.1%) disengaged from PrEP care, and 176 (6.6%) were lost to follow-up. In multivariable analysis, high engagement in PrEP care at 1 year was associated with older age (P < .001), being born in Europe (P = .01), having a higher education level (P = .05), already undergoing PrEP at enrollment (P < .001), having a bacterial sexually transmitted infection in the prior year (P = .01), earlier enrollment in the study (P = .04), and using PrEP daily or switching between PrEP regimens within the first year (P < .001). Conclusions Younger GBMSM, those born outside Europe, and those who were PrEP naive had lower engagement rates in the cohort, requiring tailored support
Regulatory T Cells Poise the Myeloid Landscape after Chemotherapy in Lung Tumors
No full textInternational audienceTumor-associated macrophages (TAM) and regulatory T cells (Treg) are major immune components of the tumor microenvironment, promoting tumor growth and limiting the efficacy of chemotherapy in almost all cancer indications. Although Tregs are well known for their immunosuppressive activity toward the adaptive immune system, less is known about their regulatory activity toward the innate compartment. In this study, we have shown that in human and mouse lung cancer, chemotherapy transiently reduced Treg number and switched the mononuclear phagocyte (MP) landscape toward not only a proinflammatory signature but also an increased TGFβexpressing TAM accumulation over time. Preventing Treg recovery further increased the recruitment of monocytes and limited TGFβ expression upon TAM differentiation, demonstrating that Tregs dampen the proinflammatory status of the MP compartment induced by chemotherapy and promote tumor relapse. Anti-TNFR2 antibody treatment during the Treg recovery phase affected the direct interaction between Tregs and MPs, increased the proinflammatory signature of the MPs, and improved survival in the mouse model. Targeting the cross-talk between tumor-associated Tregs and the MP compartment limits the reconstitution of an anti-inflammatory environment following chemotherapy and improves therapeutic outcome

Validation expérimentale d’un banc de mesure acoustique de raquette de padel

De plus, le vieillissement de la raquette pourrait avoir des répercussions sur la santé du joueur et sur les performances de la raquette. Le son rayonné de l'impact d'une balle sur une raquette de padel peut être un indicateur pertinent afin d'évaluer l'état physique d'une raquette. En effet, nous supposons que le comportement vibro-acoustique de la raquette pourrait être altéré par l'effet du vieillissement, comme cela a pu être démontré pour des structures sandwich comparables. Dans le but de confirmer cette hypothèse, un banc de mesures expérimentales a été mis en place afin de collecter des signaux acoustiques de lâcher de balle dans une chambre anéchoïque. L'objectif de cette étude est de démontrer que les mesures acoustiques collectées sont suffisamment reproductibles et répétables pour détecter des changements de comportement acoustique de la raquette liés à son usure. Ce banc est composé de deux microphones placés à 1 m de l'impact afin de mesurer le son rayonné dans des directions perpendiculaires et longitudinales, d'une raquette et d'un bâti permettant de lâcher une balle à une hauteur fixe pour chaque raquette. Les signaux acoustiques ont été collectés pour trois localisations d'impact par face et pour un panel de 24 raquettes. Une analyse spectrale a permis de constater que, au vu de la variabilité liée à l'erreur de mesure vis-à-vis de la variabilité inter-raquettes, ce banc expérimental peut être utilisé pour détecter des différences acoustiques liées à l'usure de la raquette
