Get PDFThe big challenge facing the library to be known by the millennial generation is the rapid development of information and communication technology. This rapid development makes the millennial generation very easy to obtain information, regardless of the information are fact or hoaxes. This makes the millennial generation lazy to use library facilities because they think, all the information they need can be obtained through the internet. However, using the internet without knowledge can lead to false information. Therefore, they must utilize the services provided by the library to obtain information that is correct and in accordance with their needs. In order for the millennial generation to know about the existence of libraries, special marketing tactics like Guerilla Marketing are needed to attract their interest in utilizing library services.

Get PDFThis article discusses how to approach communication in the settlement of social and religious conflicts, causes and impacts caused by the conflict. In the discussion of this article revealed that social-culture and religion make our nation vulnerable to conflict, from the eastern end to the western end. Therefore, the issue of social-religious conflict needs to be resolved quickly by various parties. Factors that often lie behind the conflict are the curb of inter-religious adaptation, economic jealousy, narrow fanaticism, lack of knowledge of democracy and faith. While the impact is the disruption of security, the cracking of social relationships, destruction of the order of life, and countless material losses. The most important is the settlement of social and religious conflicts that can be taken is; Abitration, which is immediately terminated by a third party in this case the government and law enforcement apparatus; Mediation, termination of the dispute by a third party but no binding decision is given; Conciliation, attempts to bring together the wishes of the disputing parties to achieve mutual consent; Stalemate, the situation when both opposing sides have a balanced power, then stops at a point not attacking each other; adjudication, resolution of conflicts in the courts by giving priority to the justice and impartial to anyone

Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to determine the forms of irregularities in the principles of imlaiyah and khathtiyah and to explain the impact of these forms of deviation. Qualitative research methods with a socio-cultural approach to documentation and interview techniques. After doing the research, it turns out that the form of irregularities in the rules of Islamic and khaththiyah is quite a lot found in several Padang Pariaman mosques. The form of mosque calligraphy decoration which deviates from the imlaiyyah rules in Padang Pariaman such as the writing of words / sentences that are lacking and excessive in letters, writing that is lacking dots and over writing the sign of the gift. While the form of mosque calligraphy decoration that deviates from the rules of khaththiyah in Padang Pariaman mosque such as writing the shape and size of letters that are not exactly in shape with the type of calligraphy form, including the mixing of types of rules made in one sentence of writing. If the form of irregularities is allowed to have an impact on the self-esteem of the community itself in the view of the general public. The existence of the mosque decoration is considered to have neglected the writing of the Qur'anic verse because the result of the error in the mosque decoration has damaged the meaning of the sentence of the Qur'an and the form of its writing, also decreasing the value of the beauty of the mosque, as well as reflecting the lack of knowledge and ability of the community in the field of al- Qur'an and calligraphy, and bequeath the wrong writing culture to generations afterwards

Terinspirasi dari keahlian-keahlian buya tersebut, maka Yayasan Syekh Sulaiman Arrasuli yang terdiri dari unsur keluarga besar Inyiak Canduang, Alumni MTI Candung, Niniak Mamak, dan Cendikiawan di Sumatera Barat mengusulkanya kepada pemerintah agar, ia ditetapkan sebagai Pahlawan Nasional. Sulaiman terkenal sebagai seorang ulama yang produktif, dari tangannya lahir 19 buku dalam berbagai kajian. Ia juga seorang pendidik handal yang telah meninggalkan sarana pendidikan yang dikenal dengan Madrasah Tarbiyah Islamiyah (MTI),kemudian lahir (PERTI). Ahli adat yang telah berhasil memahamkan masyarakat terhadap adat dan syarak. Adat basandi syarak, syarak basandi kitabullah, syarak mangato adat mamakai. Sulaiman dikenal juga seorang yang ahli dalam bidang organisasi dan politik. Banyak posisi dalam bidang ini telah ia duduki. Seperti, ketua Sarikat Islam cabang Bukittinggi, ketua Majelis Tinggi Kerapatan Adat Alam Minangkabau (MTKAAM), ketua Majlis Islam Tinggi Minangkabau (MITM), Ketua Mahkamah Syari’ah Sumatera Tengah. Kedua fenomena ini merupakan respon bahasa Arabtidak hanya untuk meresistensi eksitensi bahasanya, juga membukakemungkinan kreatif membuka ragam bahasa dengan produktif.Adapun tulisan menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatansosiolingusistik. No full textTulisan ini menghadirkan Discovery of Learning sebagai suatu metode pembelajaran bahasa Arab dan bentuk penerapannya dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Penggunaan metode tersebut berangkat dari fenomena pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang cenderung terkesan kaku dan pasif bagi siswa. Penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kelas dengan beberapa tahapan untuk mengukur progres motivasi dan hasil belajar bahasa Arab siswa. Berdasarkan proses penelitian yang penulis lakukan, ditemukan adanya peningkatan skor motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan metode Discovery of Learning dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Penulis mengambil kesimpulan bahwa metode Discovery of Learning dapat diaplikasikan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab guna meraih hasil pembelajaran yang maksimal dan efektif
