    Branding Image Management As a Strategy To Enhance Competitiveness

    This research aims to analyze the comparison of branding image management in improving competitiveness between As-Shofa Islamic High School and Az-Zuhra Islamic School Pekanbaru. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques that include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, verification, conclusion drawing, and data triangulation techniques. The results of this study First, As-Shofa Islamic High School applies branding image management through the stages of Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling, with a focus on creating uniqueness, excellence, and strength. This school has two excellent programs, namely academic programs and student programs. These programs are more dominantly oriented towards higher education and general goals.Second, Az-Zuhra Islamic High School Pekanbaru also applies image branding management with the stages of Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling, with an emphasis on excellence, uniqueness, and strength. The flagship programs at this school include Tahsin and Tahfidz, Worship, and Character Building, which are dominantly oriented towards developing students' religious character. This research shows significant differences in image branding strategies between SMA Islam As-Shofa and SMA Az-Zuhra Islamic School Pekanbaru. As-Shofa Islamic High School focuses more on academic and general programs for higher education, while Az-Zuhra Islamic High School emphasizes more on religious character development. This finding provides insight into how differences in branding image strategies can affect the competitiveness of Islamic educational institutions

    Development of Islamic Religious Education and Character Education Teaching Materials Based on Minangkabau Local Wisdom

    The article “Development of Islamic Religious Education and Character Education Teaching Materials Based on Minangkabau Local Wisdom.” The researcher was interested in taking this title because he was concerned about many young generations experiencing moral decadence, following Western lifestyles, and unfamiliar with local wisdom culture. In addition, no teaching materials or modules contain local wisdom values, in this case, Minangkabau local wisdom. This research and development aims to develop Islamic Religious Education and Character Education teaching modules based on Minangkabau local wisdom through a research and development model. The stages of developing teaching modules based on the 4-D research model consist of Defining, Designing, Developing, and Disseminating—data collection using interview guidelines, observation sheets, tests, and questionnaires. Furthermore, the teaching module is subjected to a validity test, practicality test, and effectiveness test. The results of the validity of the teaching materials for Islamic Religious Education and Character Building based on Minangkabau local wisdom obtained validation of 0.99, declared valid by the assessment of language, media, and material experts. The results of the teacher’s practicality test received a score of 75 with a feasible interpretation, and the results of the student questionnaire obtained a score of 88.67 with a possible interpretation, indicating the practicality of the module. The results of the effectiveness test of the teaching module were considered adequate by obtaining a Sig of 0.000> 0.05. Thus, the Islamic Religious Education and Character Building teaching module based on Minangkabau local wisdom is feasible to implement, develop, and disseminate

    Exploring the Potential of the Roblox Platform for Developing Islamic Religious Education Learning

    This research explores the potential use of Roblox, a Metaverse platform, in the development of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). It addresses the increasing need for innovative and interactive learning tools to effectively teach complex religious concepts such as Aqidah, Ibadah, Mu’amalah, and Islamic history. The study’s main objective is to assess how Roblox can create immersive, interactive learning environments aligned with Bruner’s learning theory and Islamic educational principles, enhancing students' understanding and internalization of Islamic values. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the research uses library research methods to collect, validate, and analyze data from various sources on the use of Roblox in education. Key findings reveal that Roblox, with its features for creating simulations, user-generated content, and collaborative interactions, is well-suited for PAI learning. The platform supports Bruner’s three stages of learning—enactive, iconic, and symbolic—allowing students to gain practical, visual, and abstract understanding of religious teachings. The study concludes that Roblox has significant potential as an educational tool, offering a dynamic, holistic, and meaningful learning experience that not only teaches religious concepts but also aids in the internalization of Islamic values, thereby promoting a deeper and more engaging learning process. Integrating Roblox into educational curricula could foster greater understanding and application of Islamic teachings in students' daily lives

    This study aims to find out the practice and law of thrifting in Jarai District,Lahat Regency. The methods used in this study are qualitative methods, thedata sources used are primary and secondary data sources, data collectiontechniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentationand data analysis techniques are used (data reduction, data display andverivitacion). The results of the study show that the practice of buying andselling used clothes in Jarai District involves direct transactions between sellersand buyers, where buyers can check the quality of the goods before buyingthem. In addition, there is a practice where sellers order used clothes in ballsfrom agents via phone or WhatsApp messages, then make payments throughtransfer before the goods are sent through an expedition service. According toIslamic economic law, buying and selling used clothes in Jarai District, LahatRegency is legal and allowed in the practice of muamalah. However, buyingand selling with a ball or sack system is not allowed because it contains anelement of ambiguity (gharar) and violates the regulation of the minister of traderegarding the prohibition of the import of used clothes

    Health Education For Elderly To Prevent Obesity At The Yayasan Pondok Lansia Bahagia Surabaya

    Aging is a degenerative process that causes physiological processes to decline with age, and this can result in noncommunicable diseases. The age range of 55 to 64 years has the highest frequency of obesity. Obesity is caused by a number of factors, including nutrition, physical activity, and lifestyle. The purpose of this article is to convey the results of community service regarding education for healthy elderly to prevent from obesity at the Yayasan Pondok Lansia Bahagia Surabaya. Method: This community service activity was carried out on Sunday, March 10, 2024, which was held at the Secretariat of the Yayasan Pondok Lansia Bahagia Surabaya. The event was held from 08.00 to 10.30 AM. The target participants in this activity were mothers who were members of the Islamic study and routine exercise of the Yayasan Pondok Lansia Bahagia Surabaya who were entering the elderly or pre-elderly age. The activities carried out used counseling and practice methods in the form of gymnastics. Results and Discussion: This activity was carried out according to the planned schedule, namely on Sunday, March 10, 2024, which was attended by 25 mothers who had entered old age or who had not yet entered old age (pre-elderly). The participants took part in this activity with high enthusiasm because, according to them, the topic presented was very interesting and beneficial for health. Based on the evaluation results, participants experienced an increase in knowledge between before and after receiving the material. Community service activities have been carried out well. Participants' knowledge increased after receiving educational material based on the evaluation of the average pre-test and post-test scores. The author hopes that with this community service, participants can practice the knowledge and practice the exercises they have received in their daily lives

    Air quality in Surabaya is experiencing serious challenges due to motor vehicle emissions, industrial pollution and the lack of green space, which have a direct impact on public health, especially the respiratory system, which can cause diseases such as asthma and bronchitis. To overcome this, a service program using lecture and simulation methods was carried out, involving 40 Islamic boarding school students and female students at the Islamic boarding school. The lecture lasted 40 minutes using PPT and poster media, as well as pre- and post-test questionnaires to measure the increase in participants' knowledge. In addition, a simulation was carried out in collaboration with Islamic boarding schools in planting bamboo palms on May 11 2024. The results showed a significant increase in students' knowledge regarding the benefits of bamboo palms as an effort to prevent air pollution, with a significant difference in pre- and post-test scores (p <0.05). The lecture approach accompanied by visual media has proven effective in increasing understanding of the role of bamboo palms in reducing pollution in Islamic boarding school environments, so that this education has succeeded in increasing students' awareness of the importance of efforts to overcome air pollution

    Peran Dan Pemikiran Syafi`i Antonio, Adiwarman Karim Dan Ma`ruf Amin Dalam Pengembangan Ekonomi Islam

    In order to raise the spirit of Indonesian Muslims, it is very important to present the thoughts of these figures so that their thoughts can become a foundation that is then applied in real terms in the life of the nation and state. Among the figures who can be a source of inspiration are Muhammad Syafi`I Antonio, Adiwarman Azwar Karim and also KH. Ma`ruf Amin. The purpose of this study is to determine the Islamic economic thoughts of the three figures and to compare them. The study was conducted using a qualitative method using library research that was analyzed descriptively analytically. The results of the study show that the roles and thoughts of Syafi'i Antonio, Adiwarman Karim, and Ma'ruf Amin in the development of Islamic economics highlight their contributions in strengthening the foundations of the economy according to Islamic sharia principles. Syafi'i Antonio is known for his practical approach in the business and financial sectors, while Adiwarman Karim developed an in-depth theoretical analysis for Islamic economics globally and nationally. Ma'ruf Amin advocates for fair and inclusive economic policies at the social and political levels of Indonesia. Although their approaches are different, the unity of the three figures' thinking lies in the rejection of usury and an approach that emphasizes justice and blessings in economic distribution. Collectively, the three provide a strong foundation for the development of a sustainable and relevant Islamic economy for Muslims, facing challenges and opportunities in various global and local contexts

    Facing The Independent Curriculum: Teacher Challenges And Strategies In The Evaluation Of Islamic Religious Education Learning

    This research is intended to find out the practices and challenges of teachers in PAI learning evaluation on independent curricula in SMAN 1 City of Bima. This qualitative research uses data sources from PAI teachers, students, and the deputy head of school in the curriculum field. In addition to the primary sources, the research uses secondary sources such as journals and related books. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of this research show that PAI learning evaluation practice on the curriculum is independent in SMAN 1 City of Bima initially by compiling RPP before learning, performing initial formative assessment, formative evaluation during the learning process, and finally performing summary assessment in the form of daily evaluation, mid-semester assessments, projects, and final evaluation of semesters. The challenges in the evaluation of learning on the independent curriculum are the limitations of the teacher's skills in using the beesmart application, the incomprehensible implementation of the independent Curriculum, the convenience of educators using old curricula, the equalization of paradigms of thinking that school citizens are willing to accept changes, the limitation of funds in P5 maintenance, educators suffering from overdose applications, the difficulty of improving the critical character of pupils, and the difficulties of measuring the initial abilities of heterogeneous pupils. This research is limited to PAI learning evaluation aspects on an independent curriculum. Of course, there are many other aspects that can be studied by other researchers, such as materials, methodologies, learning media, and other things related to the independent curriculum in PAI learning

    Holism of Islamic Education: A Comprehensive Review of the Management of the Ibnu Abbas Islamic Boarding School in Klaten, Central Java

    Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia play an important role in developing Islamic education, but views on them are limited. Islamic education includes more than just the transfer of knowledge, but also values in the teaching and learning process, such as tarbiyah and ta'dib. Islamic boarding schools also contribute to improving the quality of human resources. This study aims to explore the Holism of Islamic Education: A Comprehensive Review of the Management of the Ibnu Abbas Klaten Islamic Boarding School in Central Java. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research, by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The result of this research is the management of Islamic education in the Ibn Abbas Klaten Islamic boarding school, various aspects of management such as leadership, public relations, finance, infrastructure, and dormitory are described in detail. Through a holistic approach, this Islamic boarding school divides its organizational structure into three main units: education, human resources, and finance, with an emphasis on friendship and consensus deliberation. Excellence programs in public relations and media management, especially through IBBASTV's YouTube channel, demonstrate the commitment of Islamic boarding schools in service to the surrounding community. This holistic approach in education management in Islamic boarding schools includes not only academic aspects, but also aspects of cleanliness, safety, comfort, and self-development of students. Various programs and activities are set to support the vision and mission of holistic education, including the use of modern communication technologies such as WhatsApp to improve communication and coordination between stakeholders. In maintaining cleanliness and availability of complete infrastructure, Islamic boarding schools affirm their commitment to providing a holistic and sustainable educational environment

    Teaching Module Design in Expanding Student Character in the Independent Curriculum at SMAN 3 Jayapura

    Education helps students make the best possible adjustment to their surroundings and can produce changes in themselves that allow them to operate in communal life. Character education is essential for guiding people towards excellent ethics or morals. The Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) is part of the government's efforts to address the long-standing learning crisis, which is exacerbated by the epidemic, by imparting student character education in accordance with the Pancasila student profile. Students will develop positive character traits as a result of the design of appropriate educational modules. Because this research will discuss the design of instructional modules, it will be conducted qualitatively. The findings suggest that the ideal teaching module design incorporates criteria and components from the Pancasila (P5) student profile
