    Get PDF
The Maximum clique problem (MCP) is graph theory problem that demand complete subgraf with maximum cardinality (maximum clique) in arbitrary graph. Solving MCP usually use Branch and Bound (BnB) algorithm, in this paper we will show how n + 1 color classes (where n is the difference between upper and lower bound) selected to form k-clique covering vertex set which later used for branching strategy can guarenteed finnding maximum clique

Jatimukti Village, Jatinangor Subdistrict, Sumedang Regency is a village that produces a lot of waste. Based on observations, the village looks suitable and has the potential to be introduced to the type of compost as organic material in farmers’ gardens. This service aims to foster and direct the people of Jatimukti Village community to have the skills to make compost from organic waste. Community service is carried out through socialization and training on composting. The demonstration of composting is done by using the composting facility that has been prepared. This dedication involves lecturers and students of the Department of Mathematics, Universitas Padjadjaran, as well as the people of Jatimukti Village. The results achieved were made of composters and compost made together, and the ways of making compost by utilizing waste in the community. After being given good and proper waste management training, the community can overcome the surrounding waste problems, and it is hoped that the community can evaluate the management that has been carried out before

Some Forms of InvestorRiskTolerance in Investing: Review Theory

    Get PDF
Investors in investing are always accompanied by a sense of tolerance for the risk of funds invested in an asset. Each investor has a different form of risk tolerance, depending on the function of the utility. This paper aims to conduct a theoretical study of the forms of investor risk tolerance for several utility functions. This study is carried out by reviewing several utility functions which include: square root utility, cubic fraction utility, quadratic utility, exponential negative utility, and logarithmic utility. Based on the results of the study for each of these utility functions, successively obtained risk tolerance in the form of linear, linear, linear, constant, and linear. Linear risk tolerance illustrates that an investor changes the value of his investment in line with changes in the level of risk faced

Estimation of Reinsurance Risk Value Using the Excess of Loss Method

As with any other business that has a risk of any incident in the future, the insurance business also needs protection against the risks that may arise in the company so that the company does not lose. Therefore, the need for anticipation in organizing any claims submitted by the insurance company to Reinsurance Company so that insurance company may assign any or all of the risks to reinsurance companies. In the method of reinsurance excess-of-loss there is a certain retention limits that allow reinsurance companies bear no claims incurred on insurance companies. The results of this study showed the average occurrence of claims and the risks that may be encountered by Reinsurance Company during the period of insurance. The magnitude of the risk assumed by the reinsurer relies on the model claims aggregation formed from individual claim size distribution models and distribution models the number of claims incurred in the period of insurance. Besides the magnitude of risk was also determined from the retention limit of insurance and reinsurance method used

Abnormal Portfolio Asset Allocation Model: Review

    Get PDF
It has been widely studied how investors will allocate their assets to an investment when the return of assets is normally distributed. In this context usually, the problem of portfolio optimization is analyzed using mean-variance. When asset returns are not normally distributed, the mean-variance analysis may not be appropriate for selecting the optimum portfolio. This paper will examine the consequences of abnormalities in the process of allocating investment portfolio assets. Here will be shown how to adjust the mean-variance standard as a basic framework for asset allocation in cases where asset returns are not normally distributed. We will also discuss the application of the optimum strategies for this problem. Based on the results of literature studies, it can be concluded that the expected utility approximation involves averages, variances, skewness, and kurtosis, and can be extended to even higher moments

    Get PDF
Mudharabah financing is the core of sharia banks and based on the profit sharing. In sharia principles, it is considered as a characteristic of sharia banks. This study aims to find out the influence of third party funds and non-performing financing on mudharabah financing in Indonesia\u27s Sharia Banking. This research employed quantitative research methods using associative approach with the type of secondary data. The data analysis used Partial Least Square (PLS) with the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach, while the application used was WarpPLS. The results revealed that TPF has a significant effect on Mudharabah Financing, while NPF has not. This is indicated by a coefficient value of 0.63 and ap-value of 0.000 for the effect of TPF on Mudharabah Financing. Meanwhile, the influence of NPF on Mudharabah Financing has a coefficient of 0.13 and a p-value of 0.16

    Get PDF
The influence of social media in disseminating information, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, can be observed with time interval, so that the probability of number of tweets discussed by netizens on social media can be observed. The nonhomogeneous Poisson process (NHPP) is a Poisson process with dependent on time parameters and the exponential distribution having unequal parameter values and, independently of each other. The probability of no accurence an event in the initial state is one and the probability of an event in initial state is zero. Using of non-homogeneous Poisson in this paper aims to predict and count the number of tweet posts with the keyword coronavirus, COVID-19 with set time intervals every day. Posting of tweets from one time each day to the next do not affect each other and the number of tweets is not the same. The dataset used in this study is crawling of COVID-19 tweets three times a day with duration of 20 minutes each crawled for 13 days or 39 time intervals. Result of this study obtained predictions and calculated for the probability of the number of tweets for the tendency of netizens to post on the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic
