Production Technology for Adding GDL (Glucono Delta Lactone) to Soy-Based Foods
The technology of adding Glucono Delta Lactone (GDL) to food made from soybeans is gaining popularity because it has many advantages. GDL is an acid that functions to coagulate proteins. GDL is a food additive that is Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS). GDL has been applied in soy-based products such as tempeh and tofu. The use of GDL in tempeh products can reduce the acidification time of tempeh to 2-3 hours so that the production capacity of tempeh can increase significantly and reduce the amount of water used in the production process. The use of GDL in tofu is as a coagulant which makes the quality of tofu better than other agglomerates. The main objective of this paper is to provides an explanation of the application of GDL to soy-based foods. So, GDL can be used as an innovation to develop soybean-based food industries. It begins from describing about GDL, provides comparison between natural soy-based food and soy-based foods with GDL from study literature. Then moves to the application of GDL in tempeh, the application of GDL in tofu, and Back-Slopping technology
IDX30 Stocks Clustering with K-Means Algorithm based on Expected Return and Value at Risk
Stocks are one of the investment instruments available in the capital market. Several indices show the characteristics of stocks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. IDX30 is one of several indications that show the combined stocks are stocks with large market capitalization, high liquidity, and good fundamentals. The selection of assets to be allocated in the portfolio is an important factor in investing where the purpose of investing is to maximize returns and minimize risk. This study aims to classify stocks that have certain characteristics based on the expected return and value at risk of the stocks incorporated in IDX30 with a clustering algorithm. The clustering algorithm used is the K-Means algorithm. K-Means is a non-hierarchical clustering algorithm by groups each object based on its proximity to the cluster center. The method used in this research is a clustering simulation study using the K-Means algorithm on IDX30 stock data. By identifying the characteristics of the stock based on the characteristics of the cluster formed, it is hoped that it can be considered in choosing the assets to be used in the formation of an optimal portfolio
The Effect of Gender and Household Education Expenditure in Indonesia
This study empirically examines and analyzes the effect of gender on human capital investment in Indonesia. Using the logistic regression method and data sourced from 315,672 households in Indonesia, this study shows that the number of boys, the number of girls, the working status of the head of the household, and the highest education of the head of the household have a positive and significant impact on human capital investment in Indonesia. The results show that female household heads who work and invest in the cost of children\u27s education are more significant than male household heads who also work. Higher the education level of the head of the household, the higher the income received and also investment for children. This research shows strong evidence of gender inequality in education spending that tends to be more towards girls. Based on the results obtained, development policies can consider gender differences in investment in labor and education. Increasing the school participation rate of women compared to men will increase the differentiation of the workforce by gender but also increase income inequality between men and women. Likewise, investment in education which tends to be more directed to women than men, will reduce income inequality
Early Information on Active Cases in Zero Rejection Efforts for COVID-19 Patients in West Java Province 2021 Using the Feedforwards Multilayer Perceptron Neural Network
West Java noted, as of August 14, 2021, 653,741 people were confirmed positive for COVID-19. On the same date, the number of active COVID-19 cases in West Java was 65,000. There is a significant increase in active cases of COVID-19 in 2021 in West Java. In the period 5 June – 17 July 2021, there was an increase in the number of active cases by 95,532. In that period, active cases increased by 484%, and the Bed Occupancy Ratio (BOR) in West Java had jumped in June 2021 with the highest number of 91.6%, this figure far exceeded the WHO recommendation of 60% before finally continuing to decline and finally in August was at 30.69%. This has an impact on the incidence of patient rejection at the COVID-19 referral hospital. Active cases talk about COVID-19 patients who need medical treatment and new cases talk about the rate of spread of COVID-19 in West Java, so these two things are very strategic to study. In this study, active cases and new case were predicted using Multilayer Perceptron (MLP). The data used in this study were sourced from the COVID-19 Task Force. The data is the number of positive cases, recovered and died of COVID-19 sufferers in 34 provinces in Indonesia in the period 2 March 2020 - 14 August 2021. The results of the study found, from the results of the evaluation using data testing the number of active cases in the last 19 weeks, namely April 10 – August 14, 2021, MLP is accurate in predicting the number of active cases for the first coming week 17 times, and the next two weeks for the second week 12 times with an absolute percentage error (APE) < 20%. As for weekly new cases, MLP has been accurate 10 times for the next one week and 9 times for the next two weeks. It is hoped that the results of this study can be useful for the government as a reference in conditioning the hospital bed capacity to deal with active cases of COVID-19 in West Java in the next two weeks so that no COVID-19 patients are rejected by the hospital because the hospital is full
Digital-Based Marketing Training in Improving Online Business Sales to MSMES in Cisewu Village, Garut Regency, Indonesia
The purpose of this community service is to assist business actors in providing Digital-Based Marketing Training to increase product sales online at MSMEs in Cisweu Village, Cisewu District, Garut Regency. This method of community service activity begins with the preparation stage and field survey. This survey stage begins with direct discussions with the Village Head in Cisewu Village, Cisewu District, Garut Regency to identify the needs, opportunities, and challenges faced by MSME business actors in Ciseweu Village, after knowing what things are needed then carry out the socialization and training stage. made by the team. The results of this study are the knowledge of participants who are residents and MSME business actors in Cisewu Village from RT 001-005/RW 002 Cisewu District regarding digital-based marketing before PKM activities, the majority of participants are in the category of not understanding digital business. After the PKM activities were carried out and the material presentation was delivered, the MSME training succeeded in providing participants with increasing knowledge about digital business

Community Service is one of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, especially at Garut University, it is hoped that with this community service the existence of universities can contribute to the development of scientific application to the community. Efforts to protect the surrounding environment must start from oneself by doing small things, educating students about environmental problems due to landfills is needed to raise students\u27 awareness so that they are more concerned with the surrounding environment. Active participation of students can be done in a culture of disposing of waste in its place. However, because of the many categories of waste that exist, it is necessary to educate students about the types of waste, namely; organic, inorganic and B3 waste (hazardous and toxic materials) and their handling.This community service activity method uses the method of delivering socialization material with counseling techniques, questions and answers, quizzes, and by adding games. The results of the research carried out were able to make students leave the old way of just throwing garbage away, but also provide education and familiarize students to sort, select, and categorize waste as well as develop a waste bank so that it has economic value. If this is done, the practice of processing and utilizing waste becomes a real step in managing waste
The Theories of Transnational Terrorism, Relative Deprivation and Fundamentalism in Terrorism Act: The Case Study in Indonesia
This research aims to describe the concept of transnational terrorism, relative deprivation and fundamentalism in various terrorism acts that occurred in Indonesia. The research method is qualitative and the type of research is explanatory that explain the cause of terrorism acts that influence by the global actors, fundamentalist that reject the changes and also satisfy the expectation in many aspects in the country from economics to the politics. The results of this research indicate that most of the terrorism cases in Indonesia has various motives starting from their mission in bringing the country led by a caliphate to enforcing the regulations of the country based on the Islamic teachings. Viewed from the perspective of social movements, framing, and resource mobilization strategies seen in the rejection‟s movements of the Transnational Islamic Organization. In addition, the political opportunity structure in the reformation era makes the system and political structure existed became more open. It has provided an opportunity for Transnational Islamic Organization to conduct its movement in criticizing the government
Urban Planning and E-Commerce: Understanding the Impact During Pandemic Covid-19 in Jakarta
In this digital era, online shopping is kind of behaviour that many people do. E-commerce appears and can gradually replace the existence of conventional market. Especially, this behaviour increasing during this pandemic COVID-19. During the pandemic, there has been a change in habits and activities ranging from working from home, school from home to service trading activities starting to switch to an online service trading system. In order to manage sustainable urban planning, it is important to consider the likely effects of e-commerce. Increasing e-commerce can bring influence also impact to urban planning in a city. This research explores the consumer behaviour regarding e-commerce activities and the influence toward urban planning. DKI Jakarta is chosen as the study location and the policies related to the pandemic COVID-19 in Jakarta are also considered as a literature review. This research using expert judgement as a method of determining aspects of urban planning that are influenced by e-commerce activities and combining the analysis of planning documents and reports as well. Furthermore, e-commerce activities during pandemic COVID-19 in DKI Jakarta have several impacts in urban planning. The implication in urban planning still remains unclear since people still have hybrid consumer behaviour. Besides, it still takes a long time to see a significant impact toward e-commerce to urban planning in DKI Jakarta
Identification of Various Fishing Activities and the Outpouring of Time of Women Fishermen in Cilacap Regency, Indonesia
Fishing women have unique roles and dual roles not only as housewives but also as economic backbones. Women fishermen help their husbands work to be able to meet the needs of the family. The purpose of this research is to identify the variety of fishing activities and the outpouring of time of women fishermen in Cilacap Regency. The location of this research is at the Fish Auction Place (TPI) TPI Tegal Katilayu, TPI Menganti Kisik, and TPI Lengkong. Descriptive methods based on case studies were used in this study. The sampling method used was purposive sampling, and the number of samples taken by 55 women fishermen. The results showed that the variety of activities carried out by women fishermen were also dominated by economic activities in addition to their roles as a housewife
Typological Analysis and Development of District Area Based on Potential Sectors in Pasaman Regency, West Sumatera Province, Indonesia
The decentralization of Indonesia allowed the development in the regency level to improve to the highest level. However, the impact can only be maximized by utilizing the potential economy embodied in the regent. This study investigates the development of the Pasaman Regency by analyzing the potential sector and the stage development of the sector. Therefore, this study uses mixed research methods with explorative approaches and uses Contribution Sectors Analysis, Location Quotient Analysis model, Shift Share Analysis model, and Klassen typological analysis model, The data used is the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Pasaman Regency and West Sumatra Province in the period 2010 until 2019 and data on the production of the Pasaman Regency base sector in each district in 2015-2019. The result showed that the agricultural, fisheries, and forestry sectors have the largest contribution to the GRDP of Pasaman Regency which is 55.51%, then the sector that belongs to the base sector with the value of LQ>1, namely the agricultural, fisheries, and forestry sectors. The sectors that experienced a net change or shift and had a positive value and the highest level of excellence were the agricultural, fisheries, and forestry sectors of 10,718,410,000. Klassen Typology Analysis is based on the base sector, namely the agricultural, fisheries, and forestry sectors with the largest contribution to the fisheries sector so that the grouping of regions using fisheries data with the results of Panti and South Rao Districts is classified as advanced areas and Lubuk Sikaping and Mapat Tunggul Selatan districts are classified as lagging areas. There is a shift in territory caused by land transfer, changes in the profession, and accessibility. The development of district areas in Pasaman Regency through the fishery sector in the form of fish cultivation, fish feed factories, and fish processing industries is expected to improve the welfare of the community, especially sub-districts that are not classified as developed areas so that the trickle-down effect and the realization of equitable distributio
