STRATEGIES FOR DEVELOPING COMPETENT YOUTHS IN INTEGRATED AGRICULTURE THROUGH LOCAL WISDOM
Integrated agricultural system is a management system (business) that combines agricultural components, such as plants, animals and fish in a unified whole. In addition to meeting the criteria for sustainable agricultural development, this system has a significant positive impact because it is organically based and developed/directed based on local potential (local resources). Warmadewa University offered a solution to the concept of integrated agricultural conservation starting from livestock and fisheries activities to post-harvest processing and encourage an entrepreneurial spirit in the younger generation. The engineering provided was an efficient technology resulting from research from professional agricultural experts that has been published in various journals. Among them are the development of organic cultivation and diversification using the SNT (System Nutrient Tank) method for exclusive vegetables, super local breed chicken farming in accordance with national poultry standards, fisheries with the concept of aquaponics (hydroponic system and poly culture system) and post-harvest processing of agricultural, livestock and fishery products, with the concept of food processing supporting local wisdom, all of which were integrated and with the concept of zero waste. The method used in this activity were delivering material, training, practice and mentoring to young people who are members of the partner, DUDI Tamiang Bali Mandiri Foundation in the Agro Learning Center (ALC) group. These youth were given integrated agricultural knowledge as well as fisheries and animal husbandry and the processing of agricultural products with the concept of "zero waste" based on Tri Hita Karana (Balinese local wisdom). There were 5 activities in this program. The output of Unwar\u27s Matching Fund activities with the Industrial World was a young generation who are competent and have competency certificates from the Professional Certification Institute through the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) for 8 people, and integrated agricultural training certificates for 25 people, so they are ready to be independent or work competent in agriculture. Characteristics of Male Sex Men Who Screen for Sexually Transmitted Infections in an Effort to Prevent HIV/AIDS
HIV/AIDS is an infectious disease that is currently happening in Indonesian society. Globally, the number of HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) has tended to increase from 2010-2019 with the spread of the virus in all age groups. The high number of HIV cases in Indonesia is due to free-sex behavior and the low level of public knowledge about risky sexual behavior, prevention of unwanted pregnancies, and sexually transmitted diseases. The total number of people with HIV/AIDS (ODHA) in Indonesia as a whole until March 2021 was recorded at 427,201 people, and AIDS cases were 131,417 people. Data from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, the number of people living with HIV based on risk factors found that 27.2% of homosexuals were 26.3% of the male sex men and 0.9% of drag. One of the high-risk groups is male sex men who have abnormal sexual deviations and have a tendency to lead to sexual crimes. This study aims to obtain an overview of the characteristics of male sex men who carry out screening for Sexually Transmitted Infections to prevent HIV/AIDS. This research method uses a quantitative description method. The population is male sex men as many as 85 people. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, obtained a sample of 46 male sex men. Data collection techniques with questionnaires. Data analysis using univariate analysis. Social Investment Programme and Livelihood of the Vulnerable: A Focus on Nigeria Post COVID-19 Pandemic
Introduction: In an effort curb the effect and the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, several countries’ governments took firm decisions and actions to ensure that the pandemic was contained before vaccines were developed including the closure of sea, land, and airport borders, banning all gatherings, closure of schools, and all forms of gathering, social distancing as well as locking down their economies to restrict vehicular and human movement. Nigeria was one of the most affected African countries, the Government therefore adopted strategies to minimize the effect of the lockdown on the citizens which included the distribution of relief materials and the re-engineering of its social investment programme that was earlier established in 2016, targeting the vulnerable people including the youths, children, and women. However, lack of transparency, and accountability of the funds by the assigned government personnel have been highly reported. Therefore, this research aimed at carrying out an in-depth investigation and evaluation of the social investment programmes on the livelihood of the vulnerable in Nigeria.Methodology: The descriptive survey method was adopted as the research design for the study. The primary data from strategic community leaders who are privy to information on all financial and material support provided to any member of their communities were generated. Seventy-nine (79) communities were studied across all six geopolitical zones in the country using a structured questionnaire. The data generated were analysed using simple percentages, mean, and standard deviation. Results: The results for N-power programme, conditional cash transfer (CCT) programme, government enterprise and empowerment programme (GEEP), the home-grown-school feeding programme (HGFP) were established. The obtained results in general demonstrated a low and a moderate impact or effect of the government social programmes on the livelihood of the targeted Nigerians (vulnerable). This was evident enough across all the results discussed below with a low mean value which is a clear indication of the misappropriation, little or no transparency, dishonesty and corruption involved by the assigned government agencies or officials to carry out these tasks
Dynamic Relationship Among Crude Oil Price, Stock Price, and Exchange Rates In Indonesia
This study aimed to examine the causal relationship among oil prices, JCI stock prices, and exchange rates in Indonesia. Observational data were from the period 2015M01-2020M06. The research analysis model used was Toda-Yamamoto (1995) causality test. The results showed a two-way causal relationship between exchange rates and oil and a one-way relationship between exchange rates and stocks. There was a one-way effect of stocks on oil. Stock shocks occurred due to the influence of the stocks themselves—only 10 percent of the exchange rates and 0.62 percent of the oil price. Meanwhile, oil prices experienced shocks from stocks of 35.95 percent and exchange rates of 20.87 percent. Changes were found in the exchange rates because stocks were 57.21 percent and oil prices were 11.27 percent. It is recommended to control the exchange rates so that the economy becomes stable, explore oil in the country or use renewable energy technology to break away from dependence on fossil oil, and maintain the value of stocks to be strong and stable
The Effect Of Single Point Cup Therapy On Blood Pressure In Hypertension Patients At Campaka Arum Health Center
The highest prevalence in the world is hypertension because this disease is not controlled optimally. Hypertension can be overcome by pharmacological treatment such as drugs that are diuretic, sympathetic and vasodilator. As well as nonpharmacological treatment with weight loss, regular exercise, low salt consumption, low fat and complementary therapies. One of the effective complementary therapies to treat hypertension is cupping therapy. The cupping point used, namely the al-kahil point, serves to prevent an increase in blood pressure. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of one-point cupping therapy on blood pressure in patients with hypertension at the Cempaka Arum Health Center. The research method used a preexperiment with a one group pre-test- post-test approach. The research population is hypertension sufferers at the Cempaka Arum Health Center with a sample of 41 respondents. The results of statistical tests showed a decrease in blood pressure with a difference of 15,42 (systolic) and 11.71 (diastole). From the Wilcoxon test results obtained p-value 0.000 or p <0.005 so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. It can be concluded that there is an effect of one-point cupping therapy on blood pressure in patients with hypertension at the Cempaka Arum Health Center. It is hoped that this therapy can be included in the list of alternative therapies to treat hypertension at the Cempaka Arum Health Center
Determining Pure Premium of Motor Vehicle Insurance with Generalized Linear Models (GLM)
Motor vehicle insurance guarantees protection, coverage, and compensation for the risks of accidents, damages, and loss of motor vehicles. It is crucial for companies to determine appropriate insurance premium rates as a preventive measure to avoid difficulties in meeting claims filed by policyholders. This research aims to determine the pure premium of motor vehicle insurance using the Generalized Linear Models (GLM) method, which utilizes the concept of a general linear relationship between independent variables and the dependent/response variable, as well as identifying motor vehicle characteristics that influence the determination of pure premiums. The data used in this study is from Swedish motor vehicle insurance. The research aims to determine the pure premium in the data by modeling claim frequency using the Poisson distribution and claim severity using the Gamma distribution, depending on the significantly influential characteristics. The Maximum Likelihood Estimation method is employed for parameter estimation. After conducting the research, the estimated parameters , , and the pure premium of motor vehicle insurance are found to be 35,572,223.27 kr, with the characteristics influencing the pure premium being the distance traveled by the vehicle, the insured\u27s geographic zone, and the no-claim bonus
