Six components are considered as predictors of household food security, and their contribution is significant at the

Estimation Model of Pure Health Insurance Premiums in Southeast America Using Generalized Linear Model (GLM) with Gamma Distribution

Health insurance premiums are on the rise due to increasing medical costs, inflation, and the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Accurate premium pricing is crucial for insurance companies to maintain financial stability and offer fair rates to policyholders. Generalized Linear Models (GLM) have been widely used in actuarial science for modeling insurance premiums. This study proposes the use of GLM with a Gamma distribution to model health insurance premiums. The Gamma distribution is suitable for non-negative and positively skewed data, which is characteristic of insurance claim amounts. By analyzing historical data from a Southeast United State insurance company, we aim to identify key factors influencing premium pricing and develop a robust premium model. The model will consider factors such as age, gender, BMI, number of children, and smoking status to predict individual risk profiles and determine appropriate premiums. Our findings indicate that age and smoking status are the most significant factors affecting premium rates. Older individuals and smokers tend to have higher premiums due to their increased risk of health issues. Gender and BMI, however, were found to have no significant impact on premium pricing in this specific dataset. Insurance companies can use the identified factors (age, smoking status, etc.) to create more precise risk profiles for their policyholders

This study aims to analyze the influence of Electronic Human Resource Management (E-HRM), Strategic Leadership, and Work Motivation on the Organizational Performance of Indonesian Army hospitals, with Organizational Culture as a mediating variable. Implementing this research in the context of military hospitals is expected to enhance the performance of Indonesian Army hospitals. This study employs a quantitative approach with a non-probability sampling method, specifically purposive sampling. The analyzed unit consists of middle-to-upper-level leaders in Indonesian Army hospitals. Data were collected through a questionnaire using a Likert scale of 1–5, distributed to 278 respondents. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was utilized to analyze data and examine the relationships between variables, including the mediating role of Organizational Culture. The results indicate that E-HRM does not directly influence Organizational Performance but has a positive effect through Organizational Culture as a mediator. Strategic Leadership significantly and directly impacts Organizational Performance, while Work Motivation does not have a direct influence but positively affects Organizational Performance through Organizational Culture. Additionally, Organizational Culture fully mediates the positive effects of E-HRM and Work Motivation on Organizational Performance and partially mediates the relationship between Strategic Leadership and Organizational Performance. This study contributes to theory and management practices by developing a model integrating E-HRM, Strategic Leadership, and Work Motivation within the Indonesian Army hospital context. It provides insights for optimizing leadership strategies, strengthening Organizational Culture, enhancing Work Motivation, and improving the effectiveness of E-HRM implementation to achieve better Organizational Performance

Financial Performance Evaluation: The Role of ROA and ROE in Increase Company Value

This research aims to evaluate the financial performance of companies that go public in the banking sector by prioritizing the role of profitability variables in determining the value of the company. The indicators used are ROA and ROE which are important indicators used to measure the level of profitability and efficiency of a company in managing its assets and equity. In this study, quantitative data was obtained from the financial statements of several banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in a certain period. To test the relationship between Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and company value, multiple regression analysis was used. The results show that ROA has a significant effect on company value, while ROE does not show a significant influence. These findings emphasize the importance of the role of banking management in optimizing ROA to increase the company\u27s value in the eyes of investors

The Effect of NPM, CR, and TATO on Stock Prices with ROA as an Intervening Variable at PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk for the Period 2019-2023

PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) is one of the leading business entities in the Indonesian FMCG sector that has been operating since 1933. Although the FMCG sector is growing, UNVR is facing a decline in financial performance in 2019–2023, marked by a net profit that fell from IDR 5.36 trillion (2022) to IDR 4.8 trillion (2023) and stock price fluctuations between IDR 3,530 –IDR 8,400. The main factors affecting the company\u27s performance include the instability of raw material prices, the level of competition in a tight market, and the transformation of consumer behavior. This study aims to analyze the effect of Net Profit Margin (NPM), Current Ratio (CR), and Total Asset Turnover (TATO) on UNVR\u27s stock price, with Return on Assets (ROA) as an intervening variable. The method applied is quantitative through an associative approach, using secondary data from the company\u27s financial statements for the period 2019–2023. The results of the analysis show that the average of NPM reached 0.1478, CR 0.6176, TATO 2.1625, and ROA decreased from 35.80% (2019) to 29.23% (2022). Normality and multicollinearity tests indicate that the regression model meets statistical assumptions. Path analysis with two models (Model 1 without intervening variables and Model 2 with ROA as an intervening variable) proves that Model 2 provides a more comprehensive understanding of the relationship between variables. Although Model 1 has high predictive power, Model 2 explains in more detail the mechanism of the influence of independent variables on stock prices with the mediating role of ROA. This finding indicates that investors are more interested in investing in entities with good profitability, stable liquidity, high asset utilization efficiency, and solid profitability performance, all of which are reflected in ROA. The decline in profit and ROA contributed to stock price fluctuations, influenced by inflation of 5.51% (2022) and e-commerce growth of 2.75% (2023). Based on these results, UNVR needs to improve operational efficiency and digital strategy to improve profitability and market valuation

Legal Certainty in the Regulations Regarding the Prohibition of Notaries from Serving as Leader of Private Business Entities

Legal certainty in a regulation will create order. If every individual or law enforcer can interpret a regulation properly and clearly, then a regulation will run as it should. One of the prohibitions stipulated in Article 17 paragraph (1) letter f UUJN is the prohibition for notaries to hold concurrent positions as leaders of private business entities. The concept of a leader in various types of private business entities covers a broad role, from strategic decision-making to operational management. Interpretations of who is considered a "leader" can vary depending on the structure and characteristics of the business entity. This ambiguity creates room for multiple interpretations in the implementation of the prohibition against notaries. The involvement of notaries in leadership positions can threaten their independence or create potential conflicts of interest. This provision contains significant ambiguity in the definition of "leader of a private business entity," thus creating legal ambiguity. Legal ambiguity occurs when a legal regulation does not provide a clear and detailed definition or provision regarding a concept or term used, thus creating difficulties in its application and interpretation. This ambiguity causes legal uncertainty that is contrary to the basic principles of the formation of laws and regulations
