Forecasting Global Palm Oil Prices Using Fuzzy Time Series Markov Chain Approach
Global palm oil prices exhibit a fluctuating pattern, characterized by both upward and downward movements that are influenced by changes in stock levels as well as global demand. These factors are inherently difficult to predict with precision, creating challenges for palm oil entrepreneurs in formulating effective business strategies. To design appropriate strategies, entrepreneurs require comprehensive information on global palm oil prices, including historical, current, and projected data. Moreover, the level of forecasting accuracy is an essential consideration to ensure that the strategies developed are both reliable and effective. This study aims to forecast global palm oil prices using the Fuzzy Time Series–Markov Chain method and to evaluate the predictive accuracy of the resulting price estimates. The dataset used in this research consists of secondary data, namely global palm oil price records spanning the period from December 19, 2024, to March 13, 2025, comprising 50 observations obtained from the id.investing website. The analysis produced forecasted global palm oil prices for the subsequent three-day period, namely March 17-19, 2025, with predicted values of 4533.25; 4513.82; and 4530.37 (in MYR), respectively. The model achieved a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 0.81%, corresponding to a forecasting accuracy rate of 99.19%

Comparative Analysis of LSTM and GRU Models for Ethereum (ETH) Price Prediction
The increasing use of cryptocurrencies has changed the dynamics of investment, presenting both opportunities and challenges for investors. Although various studies have compared the performance of Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) in predicting financial asset prices, there are still differences in results regarding which model is superior. Therefore, this study aims to compare the performance of LSTM and GRU in predicting Ethereum prices using a hyperparameter tuning approach. The data used is historical data of Ethereum (ETH) shares from 2020 to 2025. The research methodology includes data preprocessing using Min-Max scaling, model development with various layer configurations, and comprehensive evaluation using several performance metrics. The results show that the GRU Model provides superior performance with a lower Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) of 0.0234 and Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 0.0168, compared to LSTM\u27s RMSE of 0.0265 and MAE of 0.0193. While LSTM exhibits a slightly better Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 18.08% compared to GRU at 18.17%, the GRU model achieves a higher R² Score of 0.9442 compared to LSTM at 0.9282. Visual analysis of the prediction patterns and residual distributions further demonstrates GRU’s more consistent and accurate performance in capturing Ethereum price movements. These findings suggest that while both models are effective for cryptocurrency price prediction, GRU offers slightly better overall performance and stability, especially in maintaining consistent prediction accuracy across different market conditions
The Influence of Natural Resource Potential and Sovereign Wealth Fund Strategy on Organizational Performance: The Mediating Role of Human Resource Strategy in Indonesia
This purpose of this study is to examines the mediating role of Human Resource Strategy in the relationship between Natural Resource Potential (Renewable Energy), Sovereign Wealth Fund Strategy, and Organizational Performance in Indonesia. Using a correlational quantitative method, a non-probability sampling approach, and purposive sampling, the study targets managerial officials in government agencies and state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in the renewable energy sector. The final sample consists of 143 respondents, with cross-sectional data collected via an online survey. Data analysis is conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS version 4. Findings reveal that HR Strategy not only has a dominant direct influence on organizational performance but also mediates the impact of Natural Resource Potential and SWF Strategy. This underscores the importance of synergy between resource management, strategic financial policies, and human competency development in driving the energy transition. The study extends the Resource-Based View through a dynamic capability approach, highlighting that competitive value depends not only on resource ownership but also on HR adaptability. It also redefines SWF as an institutional entrepreneur, transforming macro policies into micro-level actions. However, the study’s focus on the renewable energy sector and government agencies/SOEs limits generalization. Future research should expand to other sectors, integrate contextual variables like energy decentralization policies, and adopt qualitative methods to explore HR Strategy and SWF implementation. Practical recommendations include improving HR training in green technology, enhancing SWF allocation transparency, and fostering synergy between national and local policies to support renewable energy targets

Investment Portfolio Optimization Using the Mean-Variance Model Based on Holt-Winters Stock Price Forecasting of Food Sector in Indonesia
The importance of the food sector to Indonesia\u27s economy makes it one of the most attractive sectors to consider in an investment portfolio. An optimal portfolio is the best choice for investors among various efficient portfolios, aiming to maximize returns while minimizing risk. Moreover, since investment is inherently associated with fluctuating stock prices, accurate forecasting is necessary to anticipate future stock movements. This study aims to accurately predict stock prices and construct an optimal portfolio consisting of five food sector stocks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, namely DMND, ICBP, HOKI, INDF, and ULTJ. Stock price predictions are generated using the Holt-Winter method, which can identify seasonal patterns and trends from historical data. The predicted stock prices are then used to calculate returns, which serve as the basis for portfolio optimization using the Mean-Variance model. The results show that the Holt-Winter method successfully produces accurate stock price forecasts, with Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) values for all stocks below 10%. These forecasts are used to calculate returns in the portfolio optimization process. The optimal portfolio composition is determined with the following weight proportions: HOKI (4%), ICBP (18%), ULTJ (21%), DMND (26%), and INDF (30%). This portfolio yields an expected return of 0.0441% and a portfolio variance of 0.0063%, reflecting a balanced trade-off between potential return and risk
Circular Economy Education Through Food Preparation as an Effort to Reduce Food Waste and Strengthen the Family Economy
Circular economy literacy efforts are important considering that the waste awareness index in Indonesia is still worrying. If we look at the data from the National Waste Management Information System (SIPSN), food waste dominates the composition of waste based on waste type, namely 40.2 percent. When looking at the source, it is known that households are the largest source of waste (38.3 percent). Considering these data and facts, preventive efforts need to be carried out at the household level, especially regarding food waste. This activity aims to provide education for mothers regarding the circular economy and food waste behavior to minimize food waste, especially in its preparation or better known as food preparation. It is also believed that this effort will have a positive impact on the family\u27s economy. This activity is carried out through the outreach method, and is also accompanied by a pre-test and post-test as a form of evaluation. The locus of the activity will be carried out in Batuan Village, Sukawati District, Gianyar Regency, targeting the local village PKK (family welfare empowerment) team. The aim is that information and activity materials can be distributed and implemented widely. After comparing the results of the pre-test and post-test, it was discovered that there had been an increase in service participants\u27 understanding of the circular economy and food preparation. It is certainly important to continue this activity, one of which is through assistance in preparing circular economy programs through the PKK
