    The Analysis Effectiveness of Guided Inquiry Implementation to Improve Students’ Science Process Skills

    In improving science process skills, several learning approaches are carried out by teachers to achieve these objectives. One of the learning approaches used is the guided inquiry implementation. The objective of this research was to analyse effectiveness of the guided inquiry implementation to improve science process skills for elementary, junior high, and senior high school students. The research method used is study literature from various studies that have been published in journals, both nationally and internationally. Based on the analysis of 30 articles using the guided inquiry implementation, it is concluded that this learning approach is effective in improving science process skills, but teachers need to be aware for some strengths and weaknesses of this learning approach, so they need to be creative and innovative to develop the method used based on the characteristics of students in order to achieve the objective. Additionally, the use of the guided inquiry implementation can also improve long term memory, critical and creative thinking skills, motivation to learn science, and improve cognitive learning outcomes in science

    The Effectiveness of the Hybrid Learning Materials with the Application of Problem Based Learning Model (Hybryd-PBL) to Improve Learning Outcomes during the COVID-19 Pandemic

    Study aimed to see the effectiveness of the hybrid learning materials application with Problem based learning (PBL)  model to improve students’ outcome in evaluation course in learning outcomes at the Business Education Study Program, State University of Medan. The study used a quasi-experimental method of the Posttest control group design. Data collection was carried out by conducting tests after class. The sample selected in this study were all students of the Business Education study program in evaluation course in learning  outcomes. The results showed that the application of hybrid learning with the PBL model was effective to improve learning outcomes in evaluation course in learning outcomes . The results of this study also found that the independence and creativity of student learning was higher by applying hybrid learning with problem-based learning models compared to the control class. The results of this study contributed to the lecturers' evaluation of learning outcomes in improving the quality of learning, which has been traditional, by applying hybrid learning teaching materials with problem-based learning models, especially during the current Covid 19 pandemic and to answer the demands of learning in the industrial revolution era. 4.0

    Profile of Blended Learning Implementation in Learning Activities

    Study aims to describe and analyze of blended learning implementation in learning activities. The method applied in this research is a literature review that is sourced from the results of previous studies that have been selected from Google Scholars. The steps applied in this study are identifying journals/articles about blended learning, analyzing the definition of blended learning, synthesizing opportunities and activities in implementation of blended learning, analyzing barriers to implementing blended learning, and making conclusions. From the results of the analysis of 30 selected works of literature, the implementation of blended learning can be done by teaching it as a learning model, teaching it by combining it with other learning strategies or models, teaching it with the help of an LMS, and teaching it with the help of social media. Furthermore, the application of blended learning is able to support activities that can train students' 21st century skills. The implementation of blended learning requires careful planning and requires an understanding of student characteristics and the availability of supporting facilities and infrastructure. This study can provide an overview of the opportunities to apply blended learning in learning activities

    Validity Analysis of Science Learning Devices Integrated Learning Model Connected Type on Light Topics

    This research aims to produce a suitable connected-type integrated learning model for science learning on the topic of light. The product specifications of the learning tools developed include lesson plans, worksheets, handouts, questionnaires and test instruments. The learning tools developed were reviewed by three validators. The research data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the results of the validation of the development of science learning tools were suitable for use in learning, with the following results: Learning Implementation Plan (i.e RPP) got a mode score of 3 (valid) and Cronbach Alpha 0,83 with the criteria of almost perfect agreement, Student Worksheets got a score of mode three (valid) and Cronbach Alpha 0,91 with the criteria of almost perfect agreement, Handout get a mode 4 score (very valid) 0.73 with the criteria of substantial agreement, the Cognitive Learning Outcome Test gets a mode 3 score (valid) and Cronbach Alpha 0,85 with the criteria of almost perfect agreement, the affective assessment sheet gets a mode 4 score (very valid) and Cronbach Alpha 0,85 with the criteria of almost perfect agreement, the psychomotor assessment sheet gets a mode 4 score (very valid) Cronbach Alpha 0,77 with the criteria of substantial agreement, and the student response questionnaire gets mode score 4 (very valid) Cronbach Alpha 1,00 with the criteria of almost perfect agreement. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that the learning tools developed are valid and suitable for use in learning

    The Effectiveness 3D Models Online Modules to Practice Mastery of Solar System Conceptual Knowledge

    This study aims to describe the effectiveness of 3D models online modules to practice mastery of solar system conceptual knowledge. The effectiveness of the 3D models online modules was measured using a conceptual knowledge mastery test instrument which was tested on 15 7th grade junior high school students in Jombang district, East Jawa, Indonesia. The test instrument consisted of 30 questions with the addition of the Certainty of Response Index (CRI) which was divided into 3 meetings and each meeting tested 10 questions. The results showed that 48.67% of students had been able to master conceptual knowledge when given the 3D models online modules. However, 31.11% of students experienced misconceptions, 8.44% answered correctly because of luck and 11.78% had not been able to master conceptual knowledge. Because the resulting misconceptions fall into the moderate criteria, it can be concluded that the 3D models online modules in general has not been effective in practicing mastery of solar system conceptual knowledge. When examined further, this ineffectiveness is found in the cognitive dimensions of C4, learning indicators (LI) 1, 3 and 4, as well as conceptual knowledge sub-types (CKST) 1 and 3.     This research aims to describe and analyze the implementation of digital and electronic media as learning media during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is a qualitative research using a literacy study method based on articles and books relevant to the implementation of digital and electronic learning media in Indonesia in the period 2018-2022. As for analyzing research data, the author uses inductive thinking methods. This method brings together various information from previous research related to the use of digital and electronic media as learning media during the COVID-19 pandemic. to be generalized into a new idea whose validity can be justified. Based on the results of a study of 20 articles from previous research, it can be seen that research on digital and electronic media as learning media in 2018-2022 contains development and application during the Covid-19 pandemic. The types and methods of research carried out varied including research and development, qualitative, quantitative, and literature review research. The development and application of digital and electronic media has proven to be still not fully effective in the learning process during this pandemic, the difficulty of internet access is still an obstacle for several studies. However, there are also many studies that show that the use of digital and electronic media in the learning process is considered effective, interesting and easily accessible to students wherever and whenever

    Creative Attitude in Science Learning Model to Improve Creative Thinking Skills and Positive Attitude of Students Towards Science

    The results of the literature study show that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Creative Problem Solving (CPS) models are proven to be able to improve students' creative thinking skills, but also have weaknesses that need to be improved. To complement the weaknesses of the application of the PBL Model and the CPS Model, it is necessary to develop an Innovative Learning Model that can improve students' creative abilities. The CASL (Creative Attitude In Science Learning) model is a learning model that integrates the CPS model with the PBL model in learning activities. The development of the CASL model is supported by the latest learning theories and the empirical foundation of the latest research.     Influence of Covid-19 Pandemic Disease on Educational Scheme as Express by Undergraduates

    The Covid-19 pandemic disease has modified the education system in Nigeria to distance learning using online platforms to stop and reduce the chain of distribution of coronavirus which highly contagious disease among students. This study objectives are to investigate whether Covid-19 pandemic result to; (1) change in university academic calendar, (2) difficulty in coping with online class,  (3) inability to concentrate with online education tools. The population of the study comprised all undergraduates in the Faculty of Education, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. The study adopted a descriptive research design of survey type which involved the use of three-stages sampling techniques to choose two hundred and fifty-seven undergraduates from the five selected departments out of nine departments in the study area. The researcher developed a questionnaire validated by three experts in the related field was used as an instrument for the study. The findings of the study indicated that the Covid-19 pandemic disease has influence on changes in University academic calendar, has influence on the difficulty in coping with online class and also, has influence on inability to concentrate with online educational tools among Undergraduates. The researcher recommends among others that the lecturers should use appropriate techniques and teaching aids that will make online lessons interesting for learner

    Analysis of Graduate Relevance to Program Learning Outcome Mechanical Engineering in State University of Surabaya

    The college is one of the create of professional and qualified Human resource.. Universities must develop following the development needs of the business world and the industrial world. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relevance of Mechanical Engineering graduates to the Program Learning Outcome and as material for curriculum evaluation. The subjects of this research were 120 graduates in 2019 and 2020. The technique of collecting data was using a questionnaire through the State University of Surabaya Tracer Study web. The data is then analyzed using quantitative descriptive. As many as 55.83% of alumni are already working, 32.5% are not working, 10% are entrepreneurs, and the rest are continuing their education. The waiting time for graduates to get a first-time job takes an average of 4.49 months. The total relationship between the field of work and the field of education has a very tight, tight and pretty tight relationship of 77.5%. The profile of a mechanical engineering graduate is to become a mechanical engineer. The number of graduates who match the graduate profile is 61.2%. The competence of graduates is still below the competencies needed by the business and industrial. From the data above, we can conclude that graduates from the mechanical engineering study program are relevant to the established Program Learning Outcome

    Writing is a complex and challenging language skill because writing involves cognitive, affective, and creative elements. Rich vocabulary, understanding of grammatical features, and other aspects of writing also really determine someone's success in writing. Writing skills must be taught in foreign language learning because through writing skills, students can express emotions, thoughts, desires, and events with appropriate symbols. One approach that can help students improve their writing skills is the genre-based approach. Through this approach, students learn to write using specific text genres, such as recount text. Recount text is a type of text that tells the past. This study recounts text because students had just learned one of the past tenses in German, namely preterite. By using a genre-based approach in the study, it was found that students were able to 1) Improve their ability to identify characteristics and differences between several types of recount text; 2) Pay more attention to the text's structural elements and language style in the process of reading and writing; 3) Find essential information in the text according to the elements of the genre; 4) Increase self-confidence in writing
