    Development of Batik Modul Based on Local Culture of North Sumatra, Indonesia

    This study aims to develop teaching materials in the form of local culture-based batik moduls that can be used as the development of Medan batik motives at Ardhina Batik Medan. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) research method and the research model uses the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The results of the study show that the results of the modul feasibility test according to 6 experts. The results of the data analysis carried out stated that the batik modul based on the local culture of North Sumatra at Ardhina Batik Medan was suitable for use with the "very good" criteria from material experts with an average score of 3 experts, namely 131 or 90.8%, and 3 media experts with a mean score of 141 or 88.5% in the very good category. Thus it can be concluded that the batik modul can be used in learning as well as a means to preserve and develop Medan's typical batik motives.With this modul, students can get to know batik and the process of batik as well as modify the typical motives of several regions into one combination motif (stylization)

    Profile of SETS Approach to Improve Student's Critical Thinking Skills During 2015 to 2022

    Critical thinking skills are one of the skills needed by students in the 21st century. The research aims to describe and analyze the application of the SETS approach in improving students' critical thinking skills in Indonesia. The method used in this study is a qualitative method of secondary data in the form of a literature study based on the results of previous research. The sample in this study was 20 published scientific articles. Based on the analysis of 20 articles analyzed, it can be seen that the SETS approach can improve students' critical thinking skills which include increasing the N-gain value, positive student responses during learning, and student activity. Further research should integrate other innovative learning models with the SETS approach so that they can be used to develop other 21st-century skills

    Analysis of Students' Misconception on General Biology Concepts Using Four-Tier Diagnostic Test (FTDT)

    This research aims to determine the percentage of students' misconception on general biology concepts using the Four-Tier Diagnostic Test (FTDT). This research method is descriptive research. The research sample was 100 students from IKIP Budi Utomo, Universitas Nusantara PGRI Kediri, and Universitas PGRI Madiun. The research instrument is the FTDT question. The data collection techniques by distributing FTDT questions via Google Form to students using WhatsApp. The data analysis technique was done by quantitative descriptive. The results showed that 25% of students understood the concept, 39% of students had misconception, 23% of students guessed the answer, and 13% of students lack knowledge. The lowest student misconception on the concept of structure and function at all levels of biological organization is 20% and the highest misconception on the concept of the definition of biology is 65%. While the sequence of the third category of students' highest misconception is 65% misconception, 11% false positive, and 12% false negative. The results of this study are important to provide advice to lecturers when teaching general biology to always provide correct information, valid reading sources, valid learning media, and appropriate learning models so that there are no misconceptions among students

    Women's Leadership in Creating a Healthy Cultural Climate for Early Childhood Education

    Research aims to examine and analyze the role of women in holding school leadership, especially at the Early Childhood Education Programs level. This research method analyzes studies related to women's leadership in Early Childhood Education. This type of research uses in-depth qualitative analysis. The study results show that women have an adequate ability to hold leadership in schools. Women tend to share more of their differences and are more motivated. Female principals tend to have higher teaching methods and techniques than males. In addition, it shows a more democratic nature and a more participatory style. Female principals tend to behave better and wiser than males in achieving goals. Departing from the low view and assumption of women, in the early childhood education programs world, women show many advantages in occupying the positions of Principals and Teachers compared to men, i.e., 95% are women. And the research implication is that women have more potential in the building and leading Early Childhood Education

    Integration of Science and Religion in Value Education

    The study aims to describe a value education model in teaching the integration of science and religion and to find out the values generated in the learning process of the integration of science and religion. Education is a major factor in shaping the human personality through the learning process that takes place in schools and in society. These educational goals can be done by providing scientific and religious materials to create the potential of students. Indeed, religious values will guide science and technology that are increasingly developing in the world. Therefore, the integration of science and religion in schools is very important to be taught, so that both of sciences and religions balance each other. This qualitative-naturalistic research used interview, observation, and documentation as the data collection techniques. The results of this study show that (1) the integrative model will facilitate and make learning more meaningful and efficient, so that the teaching and learning process will produce integrated knowledge; (2) through the integration of science and religion, the learning process is more directed which can sharpen the mind; (3) the learning material combining science and religion is the main instrument for realizing learning objectives; (4) the learning strategy integrating science and religion has a good effect on student and teacher interactions during the learning process; (5) the values developed in the integration of science and religion are the value of belief in Allah, being religious, and intelligent

    Development of Conflict Management Style Media Development Based on Android to Know the Style of Managing Conflict of High School Students

    This study aims to develop a set of android CMS (Conflict Management Style) to find out the style of managing conflict among high school students  as an important information to reduce conflict appropriately and responsibly that meets the assessment criteria of acceptability includes aspects of usability, feasibility, accuracy and propriety. This research uses the Borg & Gall development research method which includes: (1) preliminary studies; (2) planning; (3) initial product development; (4) testing expert validation; (5) product revision. After that, the data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative methods. The material expert test assessment shows 92.19%, means that the contents of CMS (Conflict Management Style) android material is very good, no revision needed. Not only that, the Rating media expert test also shows a very good results, which is 100%, it means that this application design can be considered as a very good one. So concluded that the development of android-based conflict management style understanding media to determine students' conflict management styles had met the criteria for good acceptability in the design and content of the discussion, so that the Android CMS (Conflict Management Style) could be used as information to reduce and direct conflict

    Development of Curriculum Management Models in the Addiction Science Study Program

    Drug abuse among students is a worrying problem that can threaten the survival of nation. This study carried tesearch design for the development of the Four D model is a model to develop learning devices. This method and model were chosen to develop addiction science education management that required to conduct feasibility, product validity, and trial. The development model based on curriculum management development referred to 4D development model, and referred to two quality requirements, namely valid and effective. This research objectives are to develop of curriculum management model for addiction science study program at IOHC INA  Mojokerto, East Jawa, Indonesia. The quality of the Addiction Education Management Curriculum based on the final results had met the criteria "Very Good", so that it was appropriate to be applied and implemented as a product of developing curriculum management models in the addiction science study program at IOHC INA  Mojokerto, East Java. The implication of this research is development of this curriculum is much needed to help nursing institutions to be more competent in the field of addiction science

This research was conducted using a development research approach with the ADDIE model. conducted at the Educational Technology Study Program, Faculty of Education, State University of Surabaya in the period May – November 2021. The acquisition of learning outcomes in sychronous learning is better than asynchronous. The results of the analysis can be concluded that there is a difference in learning outcomes between the two models, asynchronous and synchronous

    Using Google Meet in Group Discussions to Improve Learning Activities And Students' Problem-Solving Ability During the COVID-19 Pandemic

    Improvements have been made to online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic through GMeet due to restrictions on crowding and maintaining distance between students, while learning must continue. This study aims to improve student learning activities and problem-solving abilities. Improvement of learning through classroom action research. Data were analyzed descriptively. The instruments are in the form of a Problem Solving Ability Test sheet and an Observation Sheet. The results of improving the use of GMeet learning in group discussions which in its implementation combined with WhatsApp and Google forms can improve student learning activities and problem-solving abilities. The increase in student learning activities in the first cycle, the percentage of student activity was 66% in sufficient criteria to 80% in good criteria in the second cycle. This shows that the percentage of student activity has increased and has reached the predetermined indicators of success. This increase in problem-solving ability can be seen in the average class value and the increase in the percentage of completeness after being given treatment. In the first cycle, the average value is 65 with a percentage of 65%, the and second cycle is an average of 80.25 with a percentage of 80%

    Strategies for Self-Mastery and Physical Education Learning During the COVID-19 Pandemic

    Self-control strategy is a way for a person to determine how to control himself. The purpose of this study was to examine how much influence online learning has on students' self-control in physical education subjects.  Researchers used a Likert scale questionnaire as the medium to get data from respondents . The results showed that the self-mastery strategy for online learning resulted in students who tended to be passive but had good self-control.  Then, we found that the self-control strategy needed by students is the enthusiasm and motivation of physical education teachers. So that students are not bored during the process of making assignments. Then the results of this study indicate that when online learning takes place, students tend to be passive and bored.However, we also found that students had good self-control even though the results of their assignments did not meet the learning modules, such as being respectful to the teacher and to their groupmates
