Online Learning Quality of Engineering Faculty Universitas Negeri Surabaya Towards Legal Entity State University
Analysis of the quality of the learning process is very important in teaching and learning activities in ensuring and maintaining the quality of learning well. In the teaching and learning process, the quality assurance instrument or learning quality is an instrument or tool that aims to improve quality in the education sector through observations and assessments produced by research on students. The objective of this research is to test the quality of the online learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic at the Faculty of Engineering (FT) of the State University of Surabaya (Unesa) towards a Legal Entity Higher Education (PTN-BH). The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative which aims to find out social phenomena from the point of view of students and lecturers. The result of this study is that from the ten statements given to respondents, all shown positive results. it can be concluded that Faculty of Engineering students and lecturers support Unesa to become a Legal Entity State University
Analysis of Problem Solving Skills in the Vocational High School Using Direct Current Electricity as A Case Study
This study examines problem-solving as one of fundamental cognitive processes required for the 21st century skills. In this context, physics learning is generally directed to focusing on how students in schools attain this ability, which includes analyzing, evaluating, and reflecting activities to find solutions to a problem based on student’s own knowledge and experience. The aim of the current study is to determine student’s profiles on problem-solving skills at the initial stage for a given subject of electric circuits in a classroom setting. Students of Muhammadiyah 3 Vocational High School, Gresik, Indonesia specialized in electrical engineering were sampled as targetted people. The method used was a descriptive approach, where instruments for data collection were developed using Polya's steps. Research findings were derived from student performance indicators, namely understanding a given problem which scored 55.9%, planning strategy for a solution to the problem which achieved 48.7%, implementing the strategy which obtained 7.7%, and checking the solution which marked 13.85%. In conclusion, the results showed that students’ skills on problem-solving was found to be at a very low level
Improvement of Student's Critical Thinking Ability sin Physics Materials Through The Application of Problem-Based Learning
Students' skills in critical thinking are needed in learning for problem-solving. The purpose of this study was to analyze the concept of problem-based learning models, the implementation of problem-based learning models in improving students' critical thinking skills, the effectiveness of problem-based learning models in improving students' critical thinking skills, as well as the effect of problem-based learning models on improving high school students critical thinking skills. on physics. The method in this research is a descriptive research method through literature study. In this study, the results of a review of several articles related to the problem-based learning model were obtained. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the problem-based learning model is a problem-based learning model directly so that students are active in learning in class. The implementation problem-based learning model can train students to overcome various problems directly so that they can improve students critical thinking skills. The application of problem-based learning model is very effective when applied in the student learning process in the classroom because it can improve students' critical thinking skills. The application of the problem-based learning model affects improving high school critical thinking skills on physics material. 
Professional Commitment in Terms of Gender and Tenure of Vocational High School Teachers
To perform effectively, teachers must have a strong professional commitment. This quantitative and comparative study examines how gender and tenure can contribute to differences in professional commitment. Subjects who participated in this study amounted to 89 people consisting of 33 female teachers and 56 male teachers at Vocational High School in Surabaya and number of teachers who have tenure more than 10 years is 22 people, while 44 people with 1-2 tenure, 23 people with 3-10 tenure. Using SPSS 25.0 for Windows, two-way ANOVA revealed no statistically significant difference in professional commitment between male and female teachers (significance level 0.097 with p > 0.05). We also found that tenure had a statistically significant effect on professional commitment (significance level 0.013 with p < 0.05). This study shows that teachers with longer tenures exhibit greater levels of professional commitment
Development of STEM-Based PjBL Model Science Learning Tools to Train Middle School Students’ Creativity Through Flood Detection Alarm Project Taks
The purpose of the research is to develop a STEM-based PjBL model of learning tools to train students' creativity through the Flood Detection Alarm project task. The research development design is a 4D model (Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate). Methods of collecting research data using validation, questionnaires, observation, assessment, and documentation.The validity of the learning device has an average score above the value of 3 (valid). The practicality of learning devices is in the very good category, obstacles that occur during learning can be resolved with several solutions so that learning can run smoothly as expected. The effectiveness of the learning tools is effective in terms of the creativity of the students, the average score is 87.6% (very creative) and the students' responses are the average score is 94% (positive). The conclusion that can be underlined from the results of this study is the development of science learning tools with the PjBL model with a STEM approach that is suitable for training students' creativity in making Flood Detection Alarm products on Dynamic Electricity material
Using Toulmin's Argument Pattern on Problem Solving Model to Improve Problem-Solving Analysis Ability: Learning Alternatives During the Covid-19 Pandemic
The lecture process even in the Covid-19 pandemic must continue. The right of students to obtain good teaching must still be fulfilled. Lectures are conducted online using the Zoom, WhatsApp, Google Drive, Google Form platforms. The platform is assembled in a problem solving model with Toulmin's Argument Pattern. Problem solving analytical skills are the main focus of the Statistics course. This study aims to improve students' analytical problem solving skills, describe their improvement and describe student responses with Toulmin's Argument Pattern in problem solving models. The research design used a one group pre-test and post-test design. The research subjects were 30 students of the Unesa Physics Department. The instruments used in collecting data include: (1) problem solving analysis ability test sheets, (2) student response questionnaires. The research data scores that have been collected after going through a series of prerequisite tests, normality tests and homogeneity tests are then analyzed using paired t-tests to find out if there are differences in pre-test scores and post-test scores for solving analytical skills. student problems. The mean level of improvement in pre-test scores and post-test scores was calculated using normalized gain. The results showed an increase in problem-solving analytical skills in the medium and high categories. Student responses in lectures were very positive
Learning Materials of Concept Attainment Model with Concept Mapping Techniques to Improve Students’ Creative Thinking Skills and Concept Mastery
This research describes the validity of learning materials consisting of the syllabus, lesson plans, handouts, student worksheets, assessment of creative thinking skills, and concept mastery. The method is a modified research and development method, and this research is only limited to the validity of the learning materials. The developed learning materials were tested on 18 grade ten of Senior High School students. The data collection was carried out using the validation methods, and data analysis was carried out quantitatively. The validation results by three validators concluded that the syllabus obtained an average score of 3.81 with a completely valid category, lesson plan obtained an average score of 3.87 with a completely vali category. Meanwhile, handouts obtained an average score of 3.78 with a completely valid category, student worksheets obtained an average score of 3.88 with a completely valid category, assessment of creative thinking obtained an average score of 3.83 with a completely valid category, and assessment of concept mastery obtained an average score of 3.77 with a completely valid category. So that the learning materials developed is declared valid
Developing Model and Psychological Competencies Scale of 100 Meter Runner Student Athletes
The main aim of research is to develop model and instrument psychological competencies scale (PCS) of 100 Meter Student Athletes. This research use a mixed methods approach. 1st Study, used a qualitative approach, identifying the constructs and dimensions of elite 100 meter runner student athletes. Using literature review and interview of 2 elite athletes and 2 coaches. The results of the first study is psychological competencies model consists of goal setting, goal setting, motivation, concentration, emotion regulation, focus, self talk, self confidence, and persistence. Another result is 10 items of multidimentional measure of PCS. Each items in the scale were responded on five point level. Leveling describes psychological abilities based on behavior. 2nd Study, using a quantitative approach, instrument validation and reliability testing. We recruited 50, age 18-22 years from 100 meters runner student athletes voluntarily participated in this study. We assessed construct validity by examining how well the measures discriminated groups expected to differ based on their competencies, using Corrected Item-Total Correlation with a minimum limit of 0.300 to be declared a valid item. We assessed internal consistency of PCS using the Cronbach Alpha coefficient. The result of Corrected Item-Total Correlation obtained results All items are valid because they have a Corrected Item-Total Correlation value greater than the minimum limit of 0.300. The internal consistency of the (Cronbach’s alpha coefficient) was 0.841. It can be concluded that PCS is valid and reliable for measuring for 100 meter runner student athlete
Guidance and Counseling Services to Develop Student Career Maturity
This study describes career guidance and counseling services for career maturity of high school students. The method used is library research method. The results of the study refer to the components of international, national journal articles and input from supervisors, namely: The successful application of services from 25 journals has 6 studies that are influenced by various factors (a) adversity quotient, self-awareness, gender and socioeconomic status, (b) learning motivation, (c) locus of control and self-concept, (d) self management. 11 studies of career maturity results can improve. Three studies on the use of media, namely assessment tools, modules and multimedia. Three studies through self-efficacy, 2 studies compare the career maturity of students between boys and girls. Methods or techniques found 8 methods or techniques, namely (a) group counseling services, (b) career portfolio media, (c) career information services, (d) self management techniques, (e) collaborative career guidance, (f) interactive multimedia career information, (g) self-efficacy techniques, (h) career guidance module. The scope and targets are from higher education to high school. The targets are mostly mixed sex, both individually and collectively. Suggestions or recommendations that are expected to provide career guidance services to increase student career maturity
Profile of the Implementation of the Meaning Model in Science Learning 2013-2022
The meaning model is one of the models needed in the era of rapid globalization in building the character of students. This research was conducted to describe and analyze the implementation of the meaning learning model in Indonesia. The method applied in this research is a library study sourced from previous research that has been published in international and national journals. Based on an analysis of 20 learning articles using the meaning learning model in Indonesia, it can be seen that the meaning learning model has a positive impact on student responses, which can improve student learning outcomes, increase students' understanding of concepts and foster virtuous attitudes towards the surrounding environment. The application of the meaning learning model is able to transmit positive behavior and contains wisdom, this model requires structured planning to support the implementation of the meaning learning model
