Artefaktai bendrojo ugdymo mokyklose: laisva ar sunorminta kūryba?
The paper focuses on the artefacts produced and displayed by pupils in Lithuanian general education schools. Drawing on the empirical research “Dominant and demotic school culture: analysis of tensions fields” (2014–2015) the paper investigates the found visual artefacts in schools: artworks, paintings, and graduates’ farewell gifts. The visual data analysis seeks to find out what is the purpose and meaning of the displayed artefacts to the members of school community. On the one hand, these artefacts demonstrate pupils’ creativity, self-expression, and freedom to establish their private spaces in schools. On the other hand, pupils cannot avoid the existing norms, open or hidden control, which is maintained by teachers and school administration in order to restrict and standardize pupils’ creative work as it was showed by M. Foucault and other authors. The paper shows that one part of school community sees artefacts as a way to express oneself, demonstrate one’s world view or even resist existing restrictions and norms. Whereas the other part of school community sees artefacts only as a way to decorate school and create cosiness.Šiame straipsnyje analizuojami Lietuvos bendrojo ugdymo mokyklų erdvėse viešinami mokinių artefaktai.

MATAVIMAI MOKANT MATEMATIKOS LATVIJOS MOKYKLOSE
This article covers some aspects related to teaching measurement in school mathematics, the reflection of the issues of mathematical measurements in regulatory documents and national curricula, peculiarities of teaching the topic and opportunities for improving the teaching methods, as well as the experience gained during the development of the study project on teaching measures to future teachers of mathematics.Dr. Paed., lecturerFaculty of Science and Engineering, Liepaja UniversityAddress: Valdemara iela 4, LV3400 Liepaja, LatviaE-mail address: [email protected] aptariama vienos iš matematikos mokymo sričių – matavimų – situacija Latvijos mokyklose.

The paper provides an analysis of the linguistic aspect of language didactics. The Lithuanian language syllabi of the basic school are studied against the background of linguistic paradigms with the purpose of establishing the following: 1) how the shift of linguistic paradigms affects the changes in the paradigm of language development, and 2) what particular changes in the awareness of language system have taken place with regard of different language development paradigms.Three linguistic paradigms have been taken into consideration: 1) comparative-historical, 2) structural, and 3) anthropocentric. The latter two correlate well with the language development paradigms in Lithuanian schools. The analysis proves that in the period of 1909 to 1993, the syllabi of the Lithuanian language followed the systemic paradigm of language development with structural linguistic and classical development paradigms at their basis. The syllabi of the Lithuanian language for 1994 to 2008 were designed according to the communicative-integral language development paradigm based on the anthropocentric paradigm of linguistics and free development paradigm. Both language development paradigms have their merits and shortcomings. The advantage of the systemic paradigm is linguistic and logical reasoning, whereas communicative integral paradigm enhances the development of free linguistic communication. The principal disadvantage of the systemic paradigm is grammatization and formalization, and the shortcoming of the communicative-integral paradigm is its fragmentariness and indefiniteness. At present the Lithuanian language syllabi for primary and basic education are being updated with the aim of retaining the best qualities of both syllabi: systematic teaching of the Lithuanian language, thematic/chronological teaching of literature, and more intensive training in the use of spoken and written language. The new syllabus of the Lithuanian language development is based on synergy as a new modern paradigm.Docentė socialinių mokslų (edukologijos) daktarėLietuvos edukologijos universitetoLietuvių kalbos ir literatūros didaktikos katedraT. Aptariami lietuvių kalbos programų, sudarytų pagal sisteminę ir komunikacinę-integracinę kalbos ugdymo paradigmas, pranašumai ir trūkumai. Pagrindžiamas siekis atnaujinant lietuvių kalbos ir literatūros pagrindinio ugdymo programą (2015 m.) suderinti abi kalbos ugdymo paradigmas, kokybiškai nauju pavidalu grįžtant prie sisteminio kalbos ugdymo ir stiprinant sakytinės bei rašytinės kalbos vartojimą pagal komunikacinės-integracinės kalbos ugdymo paradigmos teorinę ir praktinę mintį. Atnaujinta lietuvių kalbos ugdymo programa remsis sinergetika kaip nauja moksline paradigma

VADOVĖLIŲ NAUDOJIMO MOKANT MATEMATIKOS ANALIZĖ: ESTIJOS ATVEJIS
Textbooks are among the most powerful influences on school mathematics. In this paper, the results of the empirical study of Estonian lower secondary mathematics teachers’ approaches to the use of textbooks will be discussed. The analysis is based on the survey of 164 teachers and observation of 29 lower secondary mathematics classes. The aim is to understand the range of approaches in which textbooks are used in different mathematics classrooms. Analyses reveal that textbook serves as a central instructional tool which is in active use in Estonian mathematics classes in about half of the lesson time. At the same time, most of the teachers use the textbook simply as an exercise book. It appears that often pupils have a limited access to the textbook, and in this way textbooks are not fully used as multifaceted resources for learning pupils.Associated Professor of Mathematics EducationTallinn UniversityAddress: Narva road 2510120 Tallinn, EstoniaE-mail address: [email protected] pateikiama matematikos vadovėlių naudojimo mokant matematikos Estijos mokyklose analizė.

Quoting the information, references to the author (authors) and the source of information are obligatory.
The development of mass higher education caused an austerity of state financing since the middle of the 20th century and encouraged higher education institutions to search for alternative sources of funding. One of the most convenient ways of diversifying the financial resources was the introduction of tuition fees. In this context, the student loans became an attractive means to ensure access to higher education. Student loans gave the students the possibility to cover their tuition fees and living costs and at the same time enabled the governments to save money. It is widely recognized that the higher education provides significant benefits to an individual. Students who are receiving loans get funding for the investment in education, and these loans must be repaid after graduation when the students get their economic benefits. The student loan system of Lithuania is also relevant in the light of the higher education funding model. The article provides an overview of the development of the student loan systems, an analysis of specific objectives of student loan schemes, and the factors influencing these objectives. The analysis of theoretical literature shows that the objectives of student loan systems are the following: improving access to higher education and the financial stability of the sector of higher education, promoting students’ mobility and financial independence, meeting specific manpower needs. The success of the implementation of these objectives depends on the proper model of the student loan system and the national impact.Edukologijos magistrėVilniaus universiteto Edukologijos katedraUniversiteto g. 9/1, VilniusEl. paštas: [email protected] socialinių mokslų (edukologijos) habilituotas daktarasVilniaus universiteto Edukologijos katedraUniversiteto g. 9/1, tel. Vienas iš populiariausių yra studijų apmokestinimas. Šiomis sąlygomis, siekiant užtikrinti studijų prieinamumą, buvo atsigręžta į studijų paskolas, kurios suteikia galimybę studentams gauti lėšų studijų išlaidoms padengti ir leidžia valstybei taupyti lėšas. Studijų paskolų efektyvumo klausimas aktualus ir Lietuvoje, nes pagal dabartinį studijų finansavimo modelį, dalis studentų moka už studijas savo lėšomis
