This research is an action research which uses a classroom action research with spiral model. Each cycle consist of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subject were Calculus I students of mathematics education department. The research results of student learning the material functions through the application of mathematics with Islamic Math Character proved a significant increase of the value of the average of student mastery learning at pre-action only amounted to 63.78 by 31,11%. At the first cycle, the average value of student mastery learning increased to 70.33 by 57.78%. At the second cycle, the average value of student mastery learning becomes 75.44 by 100%
Analisis Soal dalam Buku Siswa Matematika Kurikulum 2013 Kelas VIII Semester I Berdasarkan Dimensi Kognitif dari TIMSS
This study aimed to analyze the student math book of curriculum 2013 for first semester grades VIII Kemendikbud based on the cognitive dimension of the TIMSS. This report result based on the TIMSS that mathematical ability learners Indonesia is low, so that the government must assess the previous curriculum and impelementation curriculum of 2013. The method use a descriptive qualitative research. The subject is a matter of training and competence test questions each chapter in the book student math. The collection of data uses documentation. Guidelines for the analysis of matter based on the cognitive dimension of assessment framework of the TIMSS 2015. The results showes that 36 matter only reached the level of cognitive domain knowing with the percentage of 16.98%, 114 matter has reach the level of applying with the percentage of 53.77%, and 62 matter has reach the level of reasoning with the percentage of 29.25%
Profil Penalaran Siswa SMP dalam Pemecahan Masalah Matematika Ditinjau dari Perbedaan Gender
This research describes reasoning behind gender difference on problem solving. Subject of this reseach are two grade VIII students (male and female). Data in this research was analyzed using time triangulation. The reasoning based on student’s logic. Result of this study indicates that profile of reasoning junior high school students in solving math problems. For male, (1) understanding problems given, (2) linking the problems with the understanding of previously owned, (3) linking understanding possessed by the problems, and (4) conducting re-examination of the results obtained, but for female, (1) understanding the given problem, (2) planning problem solving by linking the formula that has been owned by the problems encountered, (3) implementing a plan of problem solving and reveal the reasons to use the formula, and (4) checking the solution obtained by checking the answer back
Uji Validasi E-Module Matakuliah Kalkulus I untuk Mengoptimalkan Student Centered Learning dan Individual Learning Mahasiswa S-1
This research describes the validation calculus 1 e-module so as to optimize student centered learning and individual student learning S-1. This research uses descriptive research with 3 practitioner’s subject, and 20 students of S-1. Data collection technique used questionnaire rating scale e-module. This type of data is quantitative and qualitative data. The data analysis technique is descriptive analysis and reflective analysis. Expert assessment of design and media, e-module is expressed very valid with the validity of 90.07%. Expert assessment of content, e-modules otherwise very valid by the validity of 91.23%. E-module declared valid by an average of validity 88.55%. The trial results are limited small group of 20 students, e-module declared valid by the validity of 85.11%. In general, calculus 1 e-module course declared valid by an average of 89.01%, so it can be concluded decent e-module is used to optimize student centered learning and individual student learning S-1
STUDENTS’ PERCEPTION OF THE USE OF STORY TELLING TECHNIQUE TO IMPROVE PRONUNCIATION SKILL
The complexities of skills in the Pronunciation created many hindrances for the students in mastering the Pronunciation Practice subject. Most of the first semester students of Adi Buana University were failed during the mid test since they have very little background knowledge of the Pronunciation skills and they tend to get bored during the teaching and learning activities. The writer tried to apply the story telling technique in the middle of the semester to foster the pronunciation skills to the first semester undergraduate students of English Department as well as to arouse the students’ motivation in learning pronunciation. The writer used questionnaire to collect the data and each item in the questionnaire was analyzed and calculated then presented in the percentage to find out the students’ perception toward the use of story-telling technique. The result showed a significant progress on the final test score of the students and it also gave a good impact toward the students’ motivation in learning Pronunciation

This research aims to understand the direct effect of emotional intelligence, teacher participation in scientific forum, self efficacy, and motivation to work performance math teacher. The research was conducted by survey method and sample were 100 math teachers of 680 math teachers in the junior high schools of Bengkulu Province. The data was collected through a likert scale questionnaire technique. The quantitative data were processed by the path analysis. The result were direct effect of: 1) emotional intelligence, teacher participation in scientific forums, and self efficacy influence on job motivation of teachers; 2) emotional intelligence, teacher participation in scientific forums directly impact the self efficacy of teachers; and 3) emotional intelligence, teacher participation in scientific forums, self efficacy and motivation to directly influence the performance of a teacher of mathematics
Program Literasi Efektif Untuk Anak Madrasah Ibtidaiyah
Literacy can be defined technological literacy, information literacy, critical thinking, sensitive to the environment, even sensitive to politics. The process of literacy should start from childhood and family environment, supported in schools, socialized in the milieu, and the work environment. Therefore, it is vital that this program was implemented early on, in this case of primary education, especially students of Islamic Elementary School (MI) / Elementary School (SD). The idea of ??literacy programs are effective for children MI termed 5T + 1A, namely: (1) Time (the time is right, when, and for how long) learning literacy is given, (2) Task (tasks according to the needs, interests, backgrounds, and age of the student, (3) text (text selection), (4) teaching strategy (strategies used in teaching literacy effective, (5) Talk (learning skills oral language), and (6) assessment (type of assessment in accordance with needs, interests, backgrounds, and age of the student)
STUDENTS’ GRAMMATICAL COLLOCATION ERRORS AND ITS’ IMPLICATION IN TEACHING WRITING
The Regulation of Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia number 49 2014 on National Standard of Higher Education stated that National Standard Research is the minimum criterion of research on higher education system in force in the entire territory of the Republic of Indonesia. The study was conducted according to the rules of the activities and the scientific method systematically to obtain information, data, and information related to the understanding and/or testing of a branch of knowledge and technology. Based on the background the researcher states the following questions of the research: 1) What kinds of grammatical collocation errors were found in students’ thesis? 2) what is the implication of students’ grammatical collocation errors in teaching Writing. The researcher analyzed five major types of grammatical collocation error found in English department students’ thesis. The classification of five major types of English grammatical collocation error will make it easy to understand English grammatical collocations. The first type of English grammatical collocation error is collocation consisting of twelve English verb patterns (G8) which have different grammatical structures as the most challenging followed by (G7), (G1), (G4, (G5). As for the implication of those errors made by students is that the lecturers must include the discussion of collocation in teaching Writing
