    Asset-based Approach Community Service for Developing Digital Textbook in Secondary Language (L2) Teacher Education

    ABSTRACT Service learning embedded in the course plays a vital role in transforming theoretical knowledge into practical one. It provides students with the concept and brings them in contextualizing their concept that they have already learned in the classroom. This study explores the process of enacting service learning using asset-based approach to university-community engagement. This study employed multiple data sets from observation, semi-structured interviews with teachers and principles, focused group discussion with students, and students’ products of digital textbooks. The findings revealed that service learning using the asset-based approach empowered all the stakeholders and contributed to emergence of the equitable partnership between university and community. The students’ product of a digital textbook represents collaboration between English teachers, the teacher educator, and the university students who successfully designed learning resources that meet the academic level and interests of students of the school partners.    Keywords: Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), Service Learning, Digital learning resources, Digital literac

    Analisis Kebutuhan Pengembangan Instrumen Penilaian Kemampuan Berpikir Geometri Berbasis Website

    The ability to think geometrically is hierarchical so students need to master the initial level of thinking before they are going to the next level. Geometry learning strategies need to consider the level of students' thinking abilities. Assessment with paper-based tests has weaknesses in terms of practicality and does not develop students' technological literacy in the digitalization era. This study aims to analyze the need for the development of a website-based instrument to assess the geometric thinking skills of elementary school students referring to Van Hiele's theory. This research is a literature review with a qualitative approach. The articles reviewed in this research are articles that discuss thinking skills based on Van Hiele's theory with research subjects of elementary school students and published from 2021 to 2023. Data were analyzed by Miles and Huberman's interactive model. The results showed that a web-based instrument for assessing the geometric thinking abilities of elementary school students based on Van Hiele's theory was needed to systematically assess students' geometric thinking abilities then could be followed up with learning activities according to students' abilities. The level of thinking of elementary school students assessed is from visualization to abstraction which is adapted to the material and curriculum of the elementary school

    Purpose- The research aims to know the implementation of the process of teaching speaking skill in a peer-teaching method in the Department of Arabic Language Education Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University Yogyakarta and Kendari State Islamic University.  Design/ Metodology/ Approach- This research is a descriptive qualitative research in which the respondents in this study were lecturers and students of speaking skills from UIN Sunan Kalijaga and IAIN Kendari. Data collection uses the method of observation and documentation. Data were analyzed with descriptive analytical method.  Findings- The results of this study indicate that learning speaking skills using the peer-teaching method was considered effective for students because all students were actively involved in the learning process. Lecturers use the peer-teaching method due to obstacles in the form of differences in students' abilities to speak Arabic and educational background. The steps taken in learning speaking skills with the peer-teaching method consist of three stages. First, preparatory stage consists of: (1) identifying the student environment to determine strategies, (2) determining groups, (3) determining the role of each member in the group, (4) training peers as tutors, (5) preparing learning materials, (6) preparing assessments. Second, implementation stage consists of: (1) peers teaching group members, (2) peers using the role of teacher for error correction procedures. (3) students take turns performing in groups. Third, assessment stage consists of: (1) evaluation after learning activities and (2) final evaluation.  Research Limitation/ Implications- The limitations of the problem in this research focus on learning speaking skills using the peer-teaching method and have not discussed other methods of learning speaking skills. However, this study describes the steps for learning speaking skills using the peer-teaching method from UIN Sunan Kalijaga and IAIN Kendari so that this good learning process can be implemented in other language skills

    Prestasi adalah hasil kegiatan yang telah dilakukan, yang diciptakan, yang diperoleh melalui keuletan kerja, dan menyenangkan baik secara individu maupun tim dalam bidang kegiatan tertentu. Untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan nasional, setiap warga negara yang berkualitas perlu mengikuti perkembangan zaman, mengikuti perkembangan zaman, mengikuti perkembangan zaman, mengikuti perkembangan zaman, dan mengikuti perkembangan zaman, sehingga profesionalisme dosen sangat dibutuhkan beradaptasi dengan zaman.     In the learning process is not only related to knowledge but communication in the world of education is also very important. Every learning activity is synonymous with communicating, therefore a teacher has an important role in developing students' communication skills in learning. So there needs to be an effort made by PAI teachers at SD Negeri No. 104274 Pematang Kasih to improve students' communication skills to make it easier for students to understand the learning material delivered. The efforts made are in the form of providing good communication examples, guiding students when asking questions, making presentations in discussion activities, using question and answer methods, using active learning strategies and doing habituation. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjawab fokus penelitian mengenai Sistem Informasi Manajemen Pengembangan Keprofesian Berkelanjutan (SIM PKB) SMP Nurul Islam dan SMP Al Maliki Lumajang, Pengembangan Keprofesian Guru SMP Nurul Islam dan SMP Al Maliki Lumajang, dan Sistem Informasi Manajemen Pengembangan Keprofesian Berkelanjutan (SIM PKB) Dalam Pengembangan Keprofesian Guru di SMP Nurul Islam dan SMP Al Maliki Lumajang. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan desain studi multisitus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah Kepala Sekolah, Waka Kurikulum, Operator Sekolah, Guru, dan Admin Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Lumajang.     Instrumen Akreditasi Satuan Pendidikan 2020 (IASP-2020) merubah pola evaluasi akreditasi yang awalnya berbasis administrasi menjadi berbasis kinerja. IASP 2020 berfokus pada pengukuran Mutu Lulusan, Proses Pembelajaran,Mutu Guru, dan Komponen Manajemen Sekolah/Madrasah. Sosialisasi IASP diperlukan untuk dapat memberikan pemahaman kepada warga sekolah tentang materi atau substansi yang harus dipenuhi dalam pelaksanaan akreditasi yang menggunakan IASP 2020. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kegiatan sosialisasi IASP-2020 oleh BAN S/M Jawa Timur. Sosialisasi Instrumen akreditasi ini yang telah dilakukan oleh Badan Akreditasi Nasional Sekolah/Madrasah dengan tema yaitu “Reformasi Sistem Akreditasi, Tingkatkan Mutu Pendidikan”. Metode yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, studi literatur, dengan penggalian datanya menggunakan metode observasi,wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Desain penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses penganggaran dan pengalokasian dana menggunakan sumber dana hasil dari penjualan karya buku para santri dan juga pengasuh.     Sibling rivarly is a competitive behavior between siblings that can cause jealousy in children, in overcoming it, parents must have basic knowledge about this behavior, so this study aims to describe how parents' pola asuhes in dealing with sibling rivarly behavior. This research is a type of qualitative-descriptive research based on post-positivism philosophy, with research subjects of three families having two or more children with an age limit of 0-6 years. Based on the results of this study, of the 3 subjects, there were 2 families who had the same handling strategy, namely from the start they had instilled knowledge to always get along with fellow siblings, to be fair, not to compare children but there was also one subject that needed to be improved in using pola asuhes to deal with behavior sibling rivarly
