This study aimed to describe students' learning trajectory to solving math problems based on student’s ability. The subject is 4th-gradestudents of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) K.H. Mas Mansyur Surabaya. The results obtained by learning trajectory are (1) high ability students, expressing the understanding of the problem orally and writing, plan two solutions process, choose to use multiples and sum between departure time and travel time, the subject re-examine every step in solving the problem. (2) medium ability students, expressing an understanding of the problem orally, planning a solution and implementing it until finding a solution, in re-examining the subject using factoring; and (3) low-ability students, expressing an understanding of the problem orally, planning a solution to finding a solution, then simply re-examining the steps taken in solving the problem

To describe mental computation strategies of the dyslexic student in performing the addition and subtraction of 1-digit and 2-digit integer. Mental computation is a process of doing arithmetic calculations without using other tools. This strategy will help dyslexic students find more accurate and flexible solution while solving the arithmetic problem because it can minimize their weaknesses in terms of reading and writing. This research uses the qualitative approach. Data were collected by using a task-based interview for two dyslexic students. The results of this study indicate that dyslexic students use the spin-around strategy to solve the addition for the 1-digit number and the working from the right and from the left strategies to solve the addition for the 2-digit number. Meanwhile, to solve the subtraction problem, dyslexic students use think addition and counting back strategies for the 1-digit number and Working from The Right strategy for the 2-digit number

This research is motivated by the low ability of students to pronounce hijaiyah letters, due to the use of less effective learning media so that students are only able to memorize hijaiyah letters but do not pronounce them fluently according to the rules of makharijul letters. Students' pronunciation is also not individually corrected by paying attention to the correct letter makharijul. Of the 22 students, only 8 were successful and 14 were still incomplete. With an average score of 68.18, while the minimum completeness score criteria (KKM) is 75. To improve the ability to pronounce the hijaiyah letters, the researchers took action through letter card media which was carried out in two cycles. The formulation of the problem in this study is how to apply the Letter Card learning media to improve the ability to pronounce hijaiyah letters in the Al-Qur'an Hadith subject at MI Muhammadiyah 23 Surabaya? Then how to increase the ability to pronounce hijaiyah letters for grade 1 students of MI Muhammadiyah 23 Surabaya by using Letter Card media? This type of research is classroom action research which is carried out in two cycles. The CAR model used is the Kurt Lewin model, which in one cycle consists of four stages, which include: planning, action, observation and reflection. The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively using the formula for the average value and the percentage of learning completeness. The results showed that the application of learning to pronounce hijaiyah letters using the Letter Card media went well through improvements in each cycle. After doing the research, it is known that in the first cycle the teacher's activity score was 74 which increased to 90.5 in the second cycle. And for student activity also increased from the acquisition of a score of 69 in the first cycle to 80.43 in the second cycle. As for the completeness of reciting the hijaiyah letters, in the first cycle, the percentage of students' mastery learning outcomes was 50% which increased to 90.9% in the second cycle

This study aimed to describe about metacognitive process of student in geometry problem posing based cognitive style Field Dependent (FD) and Field Independent (FI). The subjects were four students of grade X. The result showed that metacognitive process of subjects FD and FI first category in posing geometry problem, doing activity of planning, monitoring and evaluating process and the result thinking about every step of problem posing. Metacognitive process of subject FD of second category in posing geometry problem, doing activity of planning, monitoring, and evaluating process and the result thinking about step understanding information, arranging the planning of problem posing and formulating problem. Furthermore, metacognitive process of subject FI second category in posing geometry problem, doing of planning activity, monitoring and evaluating process and the result thinking about step understanding information, arranging the planning of problem posing and controlling back of suitability problem made with first informatio

Desain Didaktis Bahan Ajar Matematika SMP Berbasis Learning Obstacle dan Learning Trajectory

This study is to correct mathematical learning by didactic design based on learning obstacles and learning trajectory. This is a qualitative study through Didactical Design Research (DDR) by three analytical phase, i.e. 1) didactical situation analysis before learning presented as didactical design hypothesis including ADP; 2) metapedadidactical analysis which analyzes teacher’s ability such as unity, flexibility, and coherency in learning; 3) retrospective analysis which is the correlated analysis between the result of didactical situation hypothesis analysis and metapedadidactical analysis. The result of problem analysis related to integer arithmetic operation, a concept of function, and two triangle similarity concept, implementation of early didactical design could predict probable mistakes done by students and even if the mistakes still there, it was decreased compared to early learning obstacle test. These conditions were reinforced after learning with mathematics score school succeed standard 75% was done

The strategy used by the teacher is the teacher’s efforts to make learning activities more active and effective. Therefore, a pictorial conversation strategy is chosen to make the learning activities can be planned in detail by utilizing the experience, stimuli and senses of students who are able to bring the student’s imagination to the new vocabulary they have learned. Thus, this strategy can be a means for teachers and students to expand all innovation, creativity and freedom of expression of the forms of conversation that students want to give the new vocabulary to be learned. This study uses the Classroom Action Research method with the following steps; (1) Observation; (2) design of teaching plans; (3) implementation; (4) supervision; (5) reflection; (6) evaluation. This research was conducted in Nurul Islam elementary school in Sukodono-Sidoarjo, East Java.  The purpose of this study is, (1) to uncover the pictorial conversation strategy in solving problems of students who have difficulty in remembering the vocabulary that has been learned; (2) fostering interest in reading and speaking in Arabic, because this strategy is equipped with images that will attract student’s attention, and (3) knowing how effective this strategy can be used in the world of education, especially in the process of learning Arabic
