PENINGKATAN PEMAHAMAN MATERI PESAWAT SEDERHANA MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STAD (STUDENT TEAMS ACHIVEMENT DIVISION) DI MINU NGINGAS WARU SIDOARJO
Get PDFThe learning process of Natural Sciences that occurred at MINU Waru did not develop students 'thinking skills so that students' understanding was less satisfying. This study aims to test the effectiveness of the implementation of cooperative learning models of Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) in improving students' understanding. The research model used is the Classroom Action Research (CAR) model adapted from Lewin's curse. The results of the study showed: (1) Application of cooperative learning models to improve simple aircraft material for science subjects in class V students of MINU Ngingas Waru Sidoarjo showed that in the first cycle based on the observation of teacher activities and student activities still below the completeness criteria of 80. In the first cycle the score the teacher gets 74.25 (enough) and the student activity score gets 71.42 (enough) in the second cycle the teacher's activity gets 93.75 (very good) and student activities 89.65 (good), from these results it can be said that the researcher has achieve a predetermined performance indicator, which is 80; (2) The level of students' understanding of simple aircraft material in science subjects in class V MINU Ngingas Waru Sidoarjo has increased from pre-cycle, cycle I and cycle II, seen in the results of the percentage of completeness of students in pre-cycle activities that is 37.14% (less) , cycle I is 60% (sufficient), cycle II is 88% (good). The next increase can be seen from the results of the average score of students in pre-cycle activities, namely getting 57 (less), cycle I getting 70.5 (enough), and cycle II getting 84.7 (good). Students in class V MINU Ngingas numbered 35 students, the results obtained that students who completed the pre-cycle activities amounted to 13 students completed, the first cycle amounted to 21 students completed and the second cycle amounted to 31 students completed

Get PDFImproving student learning outcomes needs special attention. This study aims to determine the implementation of the Team Quiz strategy and the improvement of thematic learning outcomes of theme 1 subtheme 3 political conditions in ASEAN countries after using the Team Quiz strategy in class VI-A MIN 2 Sidoarjo. This research is a classroom action research using Kurt Lewin's model. Research data obtained from interviews, observations, written tests, and non-tests. The results showed: the implementation of the Team Quiz strategy to improve thematic learning outcomes of theme 1 sub-theme 3 political conditions of the Asean country in class VI-A MIN 2 Sidoarjo was carried out well. It is evidenced by the results of the teacher's activity value increasing from the first cycle of 70 to 86 in the second cycle. The results of student activity scores also increased from the first cycle of 77 to 88 in the second cycle. This can also be proven from student learning outcomes and the percentage of complete learning outcomes in each cycle. In the pre-cycle the class average was 57.59, increased in the first cycle to 78.07, and the second cycle increased again to 88.43. The percentage of completeness of student learning outcomes in the first cycle of 53.57% increased to 82.14% in the second cycle

The Development of Educational Youtube Videos-Based Instructional Material for Speaking for Beginner Course
Get PDFAn analysis of the students’ needs demonstrated that there is no primary instructional material of speaking for beginner utilized in the classroom. In addition, both lecturers and students preferred the utilization of an authentic audio-visual material like YouTube videos rather than a traditional material taken from textbook to accelerate their speaking proficiency. The current study sought to develop educational YouTube videos-based instructional material of speaking for beginner course through Borg & Gall model that cover three main stages out of ten stages; preliminary research, model development, and model validation. Fifty-nine students who attended speaking for beginner course of three universities in Lamongan; Darul Ulum Islamic University, Billfath University, and the Islamic University of Lamongan participated in the try-out stage. Three kinds of Instruments are questionnaire and interview guidance that were adapted from Djahida, while validation checklist was adopted from Beaudin and Balasubramanian, Shetty & Sathyanarayana. The instrucional material developed in this study is so-titled ‘Speaking for Beginner: A way to speak like natives’. The acceptability revealed in the students’ evaluation at the try-out demonstrates that, the material was generally good and acceptable for the students and the lecturers. The research subjects were ten students of MAN 1 Indragiri Hilir consist of two students for each level, which were very low, low, medium, high, and very high. Data collection uses problem-solving tests, questionnaires, and unstructured interviews. The results of Polya's problem-solving on the probability chapter are the high category for very high independence learner, the medium category for high and medium independence learner, and the low category for low and very low independence learner. The research model used is the Research and Development model. Methods of data collection in the form of non-tests using research instruments in the form of validation sheets, assessment sheets, and teacher and student response sheets on small scale trials and large scale trials. The results of this study are (1) have successfully developed Arabic-Indonesian dictionary products for grade 8 MTs, (2) based on the assessment of experts consisting of material experts, media experts and Arabic language teachers, this dictionary has very good quality (SB) , (3) based on a small-scale trial the students 'response to the product being developed was agreed (S) and on the large-scale trial the students' response to the Arabic-Indonesian dictionary for grade 8 MTs was strongly agreed (SS)

Get PDFThe process of teaching Arabic in MTs Hasyim Ash'ari Ash-Nahdiyyah Sedati Sidoarjo is a traditional learning process, where the teacher uses the lecture method to teach speaking skills. The background of this research is the teacher does not have the appropriate innovation and model, while in the learning process requires the use of appropriate learning theories so that students do not feel difficulties and can obtain material more effectively and efficiently. This research uses quantitative methods. The data collection methods are: observation method, test method and document. As for the research sample, it was 22 students in seventh grade. From this study it can be seen an increase in kalam skills in students after applying the Fishbowl method. with the analysis obtained with the t-test: t_0 results are 9,088 and tt is 1,720 because t_0 is greater than tt then the hypothesis zero (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is acceptable

Get PDFThis research is motivated by the low reading comprehension of Arabic which is possessed by students of Middle School 10 Sleman in understanding reading texts because of the absence of a linguistic environment and active, so it caused a lack of interest and motivation for learning in the learning process. This study aims to improve reading skills in Arabic for 7th grade students of Middle School 10 Sleman especially in understanding reading texts by using the Index Card Match strategy in learning reading skills. With this research, it is expected to be able to help teachers in the learning process of reading Arabic skills and improve students' ability to read. In its implementation, this study used a quasi-quantitative approach with the Experimental method. To find out the extent of the effectiveness of the Index Card Match strategy in learning Arabic reading skills, the formula used is the t-test. This study resulted in differences in statistical calculations in mean values ??in the experimental group and the control group. For the experimental group reached an average of 81.28 and the control group 76.88. The value of "t" counts 2.335 and "t" table 2.042 so that "t" counts greater than "t" table, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and there are significant differences. From the results above the researchers concluded that the use of the Index Card Match strategy in learning Arabic reading skills was effective so that it could improve reading skills in 7th grade students of Middle School 10 Sleman
