Is Technology Based Note-Taking More Preferable For Millenial Students? Exploration Of English Students' Note-Taking Habit
Get PDFNote-taking is one of important skills students need to practice in order to understand the content of both printed and unprinted texts effectively. To do note-taking, readers can do either manually or digitally. However, with the advancement of technology nowadays especially in this pandemic era, readers can practice note-taking more easily with the use of technological tools, such as laptop and mobile. This descriptive qualitative research aims to discover how university students practice note-taking particularly to explore their note-taking strategy and preference for refining literature review in English academic writing. This included identifying the strategy they apply in note-taking practices to understand the content of the articles they read and identifying their note-taking. To explore the issue, the researcher collected data through questionnaires and interview with 62 English students taking academic writing who have intense note-taking practices as part of the course activities. The results of this study showed the majority of millennial students prefer using digital note-taking with 66.12% responses. They decided to use it as it is faster and easier in doing note-taking. The digital technology that the students used commonly was mobile phone with 54.84% responses. They chose this tool to practice note-taking as it is handy
Analisis Kemampuan Koneksi Matematika dalam Pemecahan Masalah Segitiga
Get PDFThis study aims to describe the mathematical connection ability of students in the high, medium, and low categories in solving math problems based on Polya's steps. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods carried out in class VII SMP PGRI 06 Malang in the 2019/2020 academic year. The subjects of this study were 22 students of which three students' categorized into high mathematical connection ability, four students categorized into medium mathematical connection ability, and fifteen students categorized into low mathematical connection ability. The results of this study show that students with the high category of mathematical connection ability were able to connect between concepts by making concept maps and solving problems well. Students with the medium group of mathematical connection ability can connect between concept, but in the episode of implementing the plan and looking back at the results of their work did not do well. Students with the low category of mathematical connection ability cannot connect between concepts, so they cannot understand the problem well and cannot plan problem-solving

Get PDFThis study aims to determine the increase in student learning outcomes through the discovery learning model (Example Non-Example) about the relationship of food and health in science lessons in Class V SD Simbatan Lamongan. The subjects in this study were 20 students in class V (five). The research procedures carried out in the form of planning, implementation of actions, observation/observation, and evaluation-reflection. Based on the results of improved learning, student mastery of learning material shows improvement. This can be shown from student learning outcomes from 63.33 to 81.57

Get PDFThis study aims to determine the criteria for social development in children 11 months based on the Standard Level of Child Development Achievement and formulate appropriate stimulation based on the theory of child development. The research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subjects were two children aged 11 months who were selected by purposive sampling. The data were collected from observation and direct interview techniques then analyzed descriptively. The results showed that both children (HM and D) had met the age standard in terms of research desires with various body movements and simple word expressions, how to express feelings such as, how to apply and kiss. The forms of stimulation performed by parents or caregivers of children include: (1) building attachment with children; (2) invite the child to have a conversation or A with the closest person; and (3) inviting children to play with their peers
The Effect of Culture – Based Approach in Improving Students’ Reading Comprehension on Spoof Text
Get PDFThis research was intended to investigate the effect of a culture-based approach in improving students’ reading comprehension on spoof text. For that purpose, a true experimental study was applied to the eleventh-grade students of SMAN 1 Soreang. The sample of this study was 88 students from that school. These students were divided equally into the control and experimental group. The experimental group was given the Culture-Based Approach (CBA) as the treatment in comprehending the text. The students’ scores of pre-test and post-test from both groups were statistically analyzed and compared by the T-test. The findings could be summarized that generally, students from the experimental group gained better achievement than from the control group on their post-test scores. The data analysis also showed that there was a significant difference between the mean score of the pre-test (53.45) and the post-test (58.39.). Furthermore, the result of the t-test (5.707) was relatively higher than the t- table (2.018) for a 0.5 percent level of significance. It indicated that the students’ achievement was significantly improved after the treatment of using a Culture-Based Approach. Thus, it is recommended that a Culture-Based Approach should be considered as an alternative choice for English teachers in teaching spoof text

Layanan administrasi berbetuk dokumen resmi yang dibutuhkan masyarakat. Selain itu, guna mengetahui peran kordinator pelayanan terpadu satu pintu (PTSP) kantor kementerian agama kabupaten tuban. Deskriptif kualitatif sebagai pendekatan penelitian. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah kordinator, dan dua staff PTSP. Penelitian ini menggunakan tek analisisi berupa reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengelolaan penataan ruang kantor terhadap kenyamanan bekerja pegawai Seksi Bimas Islam Kantor Kementrian Agama Kota Mojokerto. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yakni Plt. Kasi Bimbingan Masyarakat Islam dan Pegawai Seksi Bimbingan Masyarakat Islam. Setelah dilakukan penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengelolaaan penataan ruang kantor seksi bimas islam belum sepenuhnya efektif dan efisien untuk melakukan berbagai macam pekerjaan. Terdapat berbagi kendala yang harus diatasi yaitu dengan penataan kembali ruang kantor bimas. Salah satu hal yang dapat membuat kenyamanan dalam bekerja adalah pengelolaan penataan ruang kantor yang baik. Apabila pengelolaan penataan ruang kantor sudah dilakukan dengan baik dan mememenuhi asas-asas penataan ruang kantor maka akan membuat pegawai menjadi nyaman dalam bekerja. Apabila pegawai telah merasa nyaman dalam melakukan pekerjaannya, maka akan mempercepat dalam penyelesaian pekerjaan, sehingga meningkatkan kinerja dari pegawai tersebut
Etos Kerja dalam Budaya Organisasi di Kantor Kementerian Agama Kabupaten Gresik

Salah satu keberhasilan suatu organisasi adalah terwujudnya sasaran, tujuan, visi dan misi organisasi sesuai dengan perencanaan strategi organisasi. Kinerja yang baik akan terlihat pada hasil yang berkualitas. Budaya organisasi yang sesuai dan etos kerja yang baik akan sangat membantu dalam meningkatkan kualitas kinerja menjadi lebih baik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada pegawai di Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAIS) dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pendorong etos kerja pegawai serta budaya organisasi tanpa kehadiran pemimpin tetap. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah meskipun pada seksi PAIS tidak memiliki pimpinan tetap, namun pelayanan dapat berjalan dengan baik tanpa ada hambatan. Etos kerja dan budaya organisasi menjadi salah satu pendorong dalam meningkatkan kualitas kinerja pegawai. Etos kerja dalam seksi Pendidikan Agama Islam Kemenag Kabupaten Gresik ini adalah bekerja secara maksimal, melaksanakan tugas dan tanggung jawabnya sebagai pekerja yang mampu memberikan kontribusi serta melakukan pekerjaan dengan sepenuh hati dan menjauhi tindakan tercela. Faktor yang mempengaruhi etos kerja di PAIS diantaranya ialah adanya budaya organisasi. Pada seksi Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAIS) berpijak pada lima nilai budaya kerja yang ada di kementerian agama, yaitu (1)Integritas, (2)Profesionalitas, (3)Inovasi, (4) Tanggung jawab, (5)Keteladanan.

ABSTRACT
One of the successes of an organization is the realization of the goals, objectives, vision and mission of the organization in accordance with the organization's strategic planning. Good performance will be seen in quality results. An appropriate organizational culture and good work ethic will greatly help in improving the quality of performance for the better. This research was conducted on employees at Islamic Religious Education (PAIS) with the aim of knowing the drivers of employee work ethics and organizational culture without the presence of permanent leaders. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The result of this research is that although the PAIS section does not have permanent leadership, the service can run well without any obstacles. Work ethic and organizational culture are one of the drivers in improving the quality of employee performance. The work ethic in the Islamic Religious Education section of the Ministry of Religion of Gresik Regency is to work optimally, carry out their duties and responsibilities as workers who are able to contribute and do work wholeheartedly and avoid despicable actions. The factors that influence work ethic at PAIS include the presence of organizational culture. The Islamic Religious Education (PAIS) section is based on five cultural values ??in the ministry of religion, namely (1) Integrity, (2) Professionalism, (3) Innovation, (4) Responsibility, (5) Exemplary.

Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan implementasi ekstrakurikuler prodistik, pengembangan kreativitas siswa, dan faktor pendukung serta penghambat melalui ektrakurikuler Prodistik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subyek dari penelitian ini adalah instruktur ekstrakurikuler dan Kepala Madrasah serta pembina ekstrakurikuler Prodistik Obyek penelitian ini ialah pengembangan kreativitas siswa melalui ekstrakurikuler Prodistik. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Program ekstrakurikuler prodistik ini mengajarkan tentang teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang kemudian siswa yang selesai mengikuti akan mendapat ijazah yang setara dengan pendidikan diploma satu yang dikeluarkan oleh ITS Surabaya (2) Pengembangan kreativitas siswa di MAN Sidoarjo dilakukan melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Prodistik. Kegiatan tersebut selalu mendapat monitoring langsung dari ITS Surabaya. (3) Faktor yang mendukung ialah adanya pendanaan, sarana dan prasarana serta instruktur yang berkompeten. The Influence Of Graphic Organizers, Language Aptitude And Attitude Towardsstudents'english Learning Achievement

As one of the tools that can be applied in teaching and learning process, a graphic organizer is the most effective strategy that recommended by researchers not only in improving students’ English necessary skills but also in reducing students’ negative attitude on learning English. This study was conducted to find out the positive and significant influence of graphic organizer as the delivery strategy towards the students’ reading ability as well as to figure out the positive and meaningful interaction between graphic organizers, language aptitude and students’ attitude towards students’ English learning achievement. Quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent control group design was applied by involving 160 students as the subject of the study. The results showed that there was a positive and significant effect among Graphic Organizers and language aptitude as the main effect, and there were significant interaction effects among them in improving students’ reading ability
