Penerapan Model Discovery Learning untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar dan Sikap Ilmiah IPA
This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes in knowledge and skills and students' scientific attitudes in science subjects. The discovery learning model develops the way students learn active by self-discovery and self-investigation. The purpose of this study is to improve the learning result and scientific attitude on students through discovery learning generation models. This type of study is class action research. Subjected in student IX-A SMPN 2 Mojo Kediri. The remaining semester of 2019/2020 school year of 37 students. The instruments used were observation sheets, tests, survey and field documentation. The analysis used is qualitative descriptive and percentage technique. There has been seen an increase in knowledge aspects, skill and scientific attitudes on each cycle. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Discovery Learning model can improve students' learning results and scientific attitudes in a Friendly Technology Materials environment
PENGGUNAAN MEDIA PAPAN MAGNETIK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN MATERI ARAH MATA ANGIN PADA DENAH MATA PELAJARAN IPS SISWA KELAS III MINU WEDORO
This research is motivated by the difficulty of students of class III-C to understand the direction of the wind material on the IPS subject plan. The formulation of the problem in this study are: (1) How is the application of magnetic board learning media in improving understanding of wind direction material on social studies lesson plans of class III students of MINU Wedoro. (2) How to increase the understanding of wind direction material on social studies lesson plans for class III students of MINU Wedoro. This research is a Classroom Action Research with Kurt Lewin's model, which consists of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation or observation, and reflection, which are carried out in 2 (two) cycles. Data analysis techniques used are qualitative and quantitative data, by collecting data using tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study were MINU Wedoro class III-C students in the 2017-2018 school year, totaling 30 students. The results of this study indicate that: 1) The use of magnetic board media in improving students' understanding regarding the material in the direction of the wind on a floor plan of social studies can be well implemented. This can be proven through the observation of teacher activities in the first cycle which scores 72 (enough) and increases in the second cycle by 93 (Very good), while the activities of students in the first cycle get a score of 70 (enough) and increase in the cycle II for 94 (Very Good). 2) Increased understanding of wind direction material on class III Social Sciences lesson plans after the application of magnetic board media can be seen in the results of the average score of students, at the pre cycle of 70.5 (Enough) with a percentage of completeness of 33% (Less) , to be 78 (Good) in the first cycle with a percentage of completeness of 73% (Enough), and increase in the second cycle of 85 (Very Good) with a percentage of completeness of 93% (Very Good)
EFL Learners’ Problems in Using Tenses: An Insight for Grammar Teaching
The primary goal of learning a foreign language is to be able to communicate in the language, both in spoken and written form. This is also the case for Indonesian learners especially learners of English Language Education Program in ULM who learn English as their major. However, most of them believe that without abundant knowledge of grammar, they will not be able to speak or even write in English well. One of the problems they face is that they still doubt or confuse which tense(s) of English they have to use when they speak or write. This study aimed at finding out the learners’ problems batch 2018 in using English tenses by using a multiple choice test and a questionnaire. The study employed a quantitative approach and described the result in descriptive form. The subject of this study was the whole population of English Language Education Program batch 2018, in total 98 students. The findings reveal that most of them have problems with past perfect tense (61%), past perfect continuous tense (61%), and future perfect continuous tense (67%). These problems related to the difficulty in applying the aspect and tense in the right context, first language interference, lack of practice and repetition, and students’ confidence in using the language. It is suggested that language teachers should focus their language instruction not only to form but also to function and meaning of the tenses. Additionally, using various techniques suited to teaching tenses is advisable to increase students’ to increase communicative skills
Application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) Learning Model in Improving Student Learning Outcomes in Natural Sciences Subjects of Material Changes in Objects in Class II MI Al-Islah Sidoarjo
Background of this study is the low learning outcomes of science subjects class II MI Al-Islah Sidoarjo. The contributing factors are that learning is still conventional, learning is not student-centered, and students lack understanding of the concept, the teacher has not linked the material to real-life every day and is less innovative in the selection of learning models. This can be solved by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in natural science subject matter to change the shape of objects, so students are able to develop critical thinking and be able to solve problems. The purpose of this study are 1) To determine the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in improving student learning outcomes in Natural Sciences subject matter of material changes in class II MI Al-Islah Sidoarjo; 2) To find out the increase in student learning outcomes in natural science subject matter after changing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model to class II MI Al-Islah Sidoarjo students. This research method is a classroom action research model of Kemmis and Taggart which consists of two cycles with four stages. This research was conducted at MI Al-Islah Sidoarjo in class II with 25 students consisting of 14 male students and 11 female students. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, documentation, and tests. The results showed that 1) The application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model of material changes can improve teacher activity and student activity. Teacher activity in the first cycle was 73% (enough category) in the second cycle increased to 91% (very good category). Student activity in the first cycle by 75% (enough category) in the second cycle increased to 94% (very good category). 2) Improved learning outcomes that score above KKM (80) with a percentage

Content and Language Integrated Learning Practice in English for Accounting Course
The contextualization of materials in the context of teaching English for specific purposes (ESP) is a prerequisite to gain maximum input of language knowledge. The present study sheds some light on the practice of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach in English for accounting course. This study involved 38 Indonesian ESP students majoring in accounting of a public university in Surakarta Indonesia as the participants. Pre-experimental research design was conducted in eight meeting during the course, including the administration of vocabulary test to examine the participants’ score in pre-test and post-test. A focus group discussion (FGD) was also carried out to reveal the students’ perception about the practice of CLIL approach in English for accounting course. The results depicted that there was a significant difference on the participants’ vocabulary scores between the pre-test and the post-test. It was also portrayed that the participants positively perceived the CLIL practice in their class. The results of this study contribute to providing fruitful insights for teachers and future researchers about CLIL practice in English language teaching, specifically in the context of teaching English for specific purposes

writing skills are one of the most difficult language skills for students, this is because students must be able to choose the right diction and master the complex rules of Arabic grammar to be able to compose Arabic sentences properly and express what in their mind in writing. The team Assisted Indivualization method is one of the methods that emphasizes cooperative learning, while the ChainImage Description media is one of the learning media thatcan stimulate students to think and describe an object. Therefore, this study discuss the Team Asissted Individualization method using Chain Image Description media to improve writing skills. This study uses quantitative methods. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, documentation and tests. The population in tihis study were student’s of MTs DarulUlum Waru Sidoarjo, while the sample was class 7A. The effertiveness in the application of the Team Assisted Individualization method using Chain Image Description media with the results of T-Count=16 from the results of the analysis using the T-Test. And from here itcan be seen that T-Count is greater than the T-Table and this shows that the hypothesis HO is rejected and the hyphotesis Ha is accepted
Profil Literasi Sains Digital Mahasiswa di Era Pandemi
Mahasiswa generasi Z perlu memiliki keterampilan yang memadai dalam rangka menghadapi revolusi industri 4.0 di era pandemi. Salah satu keterampilan tersebut adalah literasi sains digital mahasiswa yang belum terukur dengan baik. Artikel ini mendeskripsikan secara kritis tingkat literasi sains digital mahasiswa Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan Surabaya. Jenis penelitian adalah survei dengan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Subyek penelitian berjumlah 125 mahasiswa yang dipilih secara random sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner adaptasi versi inggris yang dikembangkan oleh Ng (2012) yang meliputi 4 dimensi yaitu attitude, technical, cognitive, and social-emotional. Validasi instrumen menggunakan corellation product moment diperoleh nilai sebesar 0.51 > 0.05 serta reliabilitas instrument menggunakan Alpha Cronbach diperoleh nilai 0.93 > 0.50 yang menunjukkan bahwa instrument valid dan reliabel. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk mengetahui persentase tiap dimensi. Science Process Skills Improvement through Cooperative Model Type Jigsaw on Students of Class IV-B MI Darun Najah Kloposepuluh
The results of the observation on the students of class IV-B MI Darun Najah Kloposepuluh Sidoarjo shows that the science process skills was still low, especially in theme 5 sub-theme 1 learning 1. The results of interviews with classroom teachers obtained information that the lecture method is often used in teaching so that students are less active in learning. One of the efforts to encourage the active participation of students in learning is by applying cooperative learning model type Jigsaw. This study aims to determine the implementation of cooperative learning type Jigsaw in order to improve the students’ science process skills of Class IV-B Darun Najah Kloposepuluh and determine the increase of science process skills using cooperative model type Jigsaw on students of class IV-B MI Darun Najah Kloposepuluh Sidoarjo. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the model of Kurt Lewin, which held as much as two cycles. The results showed that (1) the application of cooperative model type Jigsaw performing well evidenced by the observation result of teacher activities in cycle I was 83.6 (good) and 90.8 (very good) in cycle II. The observation results of student activities in cycle I was 81.9 (good) and 91,7 (very good) in cycle II; (2) science process skills using cooperative model type Jigsaw was increased evidenced by the thoroughness of students in cycle I 58.3% (less) and 91,7% (very good) in cycle II

Pengelolaan Program Building Learning Power (BLP) dalam Pengembangan Motivasi Belajar Siswa
Banyaknya sekolah yang hanya mementingkan nilai dan kemampuan hardskill siswa saja. Padahal motivasi belajar siswa akan muncul apabila minat, bakat dan kemampuan softskill siswa dapat dimaksimalkan. Sehingga perlu adanya pengelolaan program Building Learning Power (BLP) agar motivasi belajar siswa di SMA Insan Cendekia Mandiri Sidoarjo berkembang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan implementasi manajemen strategi pendidikan berbasis Building Learning Power (BLP) di SMA Insan Cendekia Mandiri Sidoarjo, motivasi belajar siswa di SMA Insan Cendekia Mandiri Sidoarjo dan implementasi manajemen strategi pendidikan berbasis Building Learning Power (BLP) sehingga dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa di SMA Insan Cendekia Mandiri Sidoarjo. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan program Building Learning Power (BLP) yang diterapkan oleh SMA Insan Cendekia Mandiri Sidoarjo terbukti mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa.
