Khotmil Qur’an merupakan kegiatan positif yang mana bisa mendatangkan dampak positif pula bagi yang melaksanakannya. Pada penelitian ini, kegiatan khotmil Qur’an difokuskan pada siswa yang mengikuti program Tahfidz di MA Ma’arif NU Assa’adah Bungah Gresik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak yang diperoleh madrasah setelah adanya kegiatan khotmil Qur’an. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan khotmil Qur’an merupakan kegiatan yang sangat positif dan patut untuk diterapkan di madrasah, dengan diadakannya kegiatan khotmil Qur’an bisa menambah semangat siswa tahfidz untuk belajar membaca dan menghafal al Qur’an. Selain itu, kegiatan khotmil Qur’an juga bisa meningkatkan citra madrasah dalam pandangan masyarakat juga meningkatkan hubungan dan komunikasi yang baik dengan masyarakat sekitar madrasah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif, data dan sumber data diperoleh dari hasil observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sasaran atau subjek dalam penelitian ini yakni masyarakat sekitar dan lembaga MA Ma’arif NU Assa’adah Bungah Gresik.

The Power of Politeness Strategies in EFL Student-Teacher Interaction: Teacher’s Gender Perspective
Get PDFThe nature of student-teacher interaction is often influenced by the teachers’ actions and utterances. In fact, student-teacher interaction could be felt like either threatening or enjoyable. Teachers’ politeness will result in enjoyable student-teacher interaction. Very few studies about politeness on the teachers’ gender perspectives have been conducted. Therefore, this study is aimed to investigate the kinds of politeness strategies used by male and female teachers in powering EFL classroom, and to elaborate how the power of politeness strategies run the EFL student-teacher interaction. The participants are several teachers and students who conduct the English Intensive Course Program in an undergraduate university. Many students-teacher interactions using English are found in those course program, since the courses require the classroom participants to communicate in English. This research followed qualitative research design and used observation to collect data. Applying Brown and Levinson’s theory of politeness, the results show that politeness strategies bring a lively and friendly atmosphere during the classroom interaction. Specifically for female teachers who mostly use positive politeness strategy, they build more interaction with the student rather male teachers. Positive politeness strategy focused on the students’ positive face by expressing the number of utterances that want to be listened to by the students. It keeps students to have willingness to communicate so that the student-teacher interaction in EFL classroom can be maximized
Pengaruh Layanan Home Visit dan Partisipasi Orang Tua Terhadap Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Sekolah Dasar di Tengah Pandemi Covid-19
Get PDFDuring the COVID-19 pandemic, online learning (online) has been continuing. The lack of online learning is a home visit service emerged to monitor students' learning. Apart from teachers, parental participation is very important in determining children's learning achievement. This study aims to describe the relationship between home visits services and parental participation in mathematics learning outcomes for grade 2 elementary school. The method in this study is quantitative research. This study involved 32 third-grade students at Al-Aqsa Islamic elementary school in Sidoarjo as research subjects. The research instrument consisted of a questionnaire of home visits and parental participation in learning mathematics. Data collection using a home visit questionnaire and parental participation and documentation of mathematics learning outcomes. The analysis data with a correlational approach using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate the home visit service, parents, and mathematics learning outcomes are included in the very goods category. This means that home visit services can improve children's mathematics learning outcomes
Pengembangan Modul Berbasis Problem Based Learning pada Materi Statistika SMP Kelas VIII
Get PDFThis research aims to develop a valid, practical, and effective eighth-grade Statistical module based on Problem-Based Learning. The ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model was used to develop the module in this research. The research findings showed that the developed module was valid with a validity percentage of 85.29% based on the validity test. Based on the practicality test of a small group with eight respondents, the developed module was stated very practical with a practicality percentage of 88.97%. These showed that the developed module completed valid and practical criteria. The practicality test of limited group and module effectiveness test could not be carried out because the learning situation was not effecting during the COVID-19 pandemic
Learning Speaking Through Communicative Grammar On Systematic Functional Linguistics (SFL)
Get PDFPracticing speaking is very important for students to exchange ideas with others. Although having learned English for the years, many EFL students face problems in delivering the ideas orally. To overcome this kind of problem, an ex post facto research was conducted by observing the students’ scores in two subjects grammar and speaking. The students were in the first semester of the English education major. The research is to find out the material used in teaching grammar to develop speaking learning. To satisfy the aim of this study, the mixed-method was implemented. The data was analyzed qualitatively and confirmed quantitatively by the applying t-test. From the analysis could be drawn that Using translation-method, podcast, noticing, and conversation in applying the communicative-grammar method enhances the students’ competence in speaking. It is very helpful for the teachers and students to implement it in learning grammar and speaking. It also provides the idea to other researchers to dig some deeper innovation in the same field
What to Accommodate to Develop Students' Academic Writing? Need Analysis for a Research-Based Textbook Development
Get PDFThe development of research-based learning proliferates throughout the world, and it depicts the growth of an academic article's publication globally. To strengthen the paper's quality, particularly in Indonesia, the students need a guideline on writing an academic article. This qualitative and quantitative research would portray the needs analysis in developing a research-based textbook in academic writing. Fifty students and thirty lecturers were involved in the interview, documentation, and survey. The result shows that the skills needed to accommodate are referencing skills, writing the research's significance, and writing the conclusion. This study also suggested nine units of an Academic Writing Textbook needed by the students to produce a good article, namely Introduction to Academic Article Writing, Strategies in avoiding plagiarism, Writing an introduction, writing a literature review, writing a research method, Presenting Findings and Discussion, Writing a conclusion, Tips on Referencing, choosing the title, and writing an abstract. These findings strengthen the previous studies, which states writing a conclusion of an academic article is challenging, particularly in the English Language Teaching context

Hal ini tentunya menjadi sangat tidak mudah untuk dilakukan, khususnya para mahasiswa dituntut untuk tetap melakukan praktikum selama Pandemi Covid-19 demi terlaksananya tujuan pembelajaran. Praktikum merupakan salah satu kegiatan yang sangat penting, mengingat praktikum dapat menunjang pemahaman para mahasiswa terhadap materi yang telah disampaikan. Dalam kondisi seperti ini, mata kuliah Biologi Molekular mengadakan praktikum secara daring yang dapat dikerjakan oleh mahasiswa berupa desain primer. Primer merupakan oligonukleotida atau polimer nukleotida pendek berupa DNA atau RNA yang sangat penting pada proses PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction). Langkah awal dari berhasilnya sekuensing DNA suatu gen adalah desain primer yang baik. Gen yang digunakan yakni gen COI Crocodylus rhombifer dan DNA targetnya yakni buaya kuba (Crocodylus rhombifer). Rujukan untuk menentukan desain primer juga perlu pada suatu penelitian terutama bio molekuler. Aplikasi yang digunakan sebagai penentuan primer dan informasi bio molakuler untuk mengetahui data gen yakni Perl primer dan NCBI. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menentukan software yang digunakan sebagai rujukan desain primer suatu gen. Hasil amplifikasi yang didapatkan yakni bp dari perl primer yakni 20 bp dari 11 forward dan untuk primer blast NCBI juga mendapatkan 20 bp dari 10 forward
Learning Outcomes Improvement in Animal’s Life Cycle Material (Theme 6 Sub-theme 2) Through Card Sort Strategy Implementation toward Fourth Grade Students of MI Tarbiyatul Islamiyah Panjunan Sidoarjo
Get PDFThis research was conducted due to the low learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of MI Tarbiyatul Islamiyah Panjunan Sidoarjo in the animal’s life cycle materials (Theme 6 Sub-theme 2). It was proved by the learning outcomes of students were still under minimum completeness criteria due to the difficulty of distinguishing the animal’s life cycle as complete metamorphosis, incomplete metamorphosis, or ametamorphosis. The minimum completeness criteria are only 40% (not good). Therefore, the effort conducted by researchers in improving learning outcomes is through the card sort strategy. The purpose of this research were; 1) describe the implementation of a card sort strategy toward fourth-grade students MI Tarbiyatul Islamiyah Panjunan Sidoarjo in animal’s life cycle material, 2) describe the increase of students learning outcomes in animal’s life cycle material after implementing the card sort strategy. This study used Classroom Action Research (CAR) with Kurt Lewin's model in which there are 4 stages namely planning, observing, acting, and reflecting. Data collection techniques used were interviews, documentation, observation, and test. The subject of this research was 30 students of fourth grade MI Tarbiyatul Islamiyah Panjunan Sidoarjo. The results showed that; 1) The implementation of card sort strategy has been done well, it can be seen from the increase of teacher and student’s activity percentage; 2) the result of students learning outcomes has increased significantly which can be seen from student’s completeness percentage to 93%. Thus, it can be said that this research has been successful
Manajemen Program Parenting di Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu Nurul Fikri Sidoarjo
Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan tentang manajemen program parenting beserta dengan kendala dan solusi yang ada pada sekolah penyelenggara program parenting.Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Dalam proses pencarian data, Peneliti menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara mendalam terhadap subjek penelitian, dan dokumentasi. Dalam analisis dan interpretasi data, Peneliti menggunakan model Miles and Huberman yaitu reduksi, penyajian, dan verifikasi data. Sedangkan dalam uji keabsahan data, Peneliti menggunakan uji dependability.
Pada perencanaan, sekolah membuat program kerja tahunan sebagai strategi awal dengan melibatkan semua wali murid yang sangat berpengaruh keterlibatannya. Program kerja ini direncanakan dengan melakukan rapat yang membahas tentang program parenting yang bertujuan agar wali murid ikut serta dalam proses pendidikan anak.Pada pengorganisasian, sekolah bekerjasama dengan para wali murid yang tergabung dalam Pengurus Komite yang bertujuan untuk menjembatani adanya komunikasi antara sekolah dan wali murid. Panitia sendiri diambil dari wali murid untuk yang skala besar, sedangkan untuk yang skala kecil mengambil dari Ustadz dan Ustadzah.Pada pelaksanaannya sendiri biasanya dilaksanakan rutin setiap satu tahun sekali. Untuk tempat pelaksanaan parenting skala kecil dilaksanakan di sekolah dan parenting skala besar di luar sekolah karena kapasitas sekolah yang tidak memadai. Proses evaluasi dilaksanakan setiap akhir kegiatan. Hal ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi keseluruhan proses kegiatan dari mulai perencanaan sampai pelaksanaan kegiatan parenting.
Dalam implementasinya, tentu terdapat kendala. Secara garis besar, faktor yang menjadi kendala antara lain adalah masalah pendanaan dan tempat pelaksanaan parenting untuk yang skala besar. Sedangkan untuk solusinya sendiri, biasanyapihak panitia mencarikan dana melalui sponsorship dan mencarikan gedung yang sekiranya cukup untuk menampung para peserta kegiatan
Analisis Penyebab Eksploitasi Anak di Bawah Umur Pada Saat Pandemi Covid-19
Get PDFA child is the successor of a nation that must obtain protection in his life by the nation and the state, government, society, and parents, the child must also obtain rights that are upheld as a human being. The purpose of this research is to find out how forms of child exploitation and the factors that cause the emergence of cases of exploitation of minors during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research uses qualitative descriptive research and library research. The result of this study that there are three forms of child exploitation, namely physical exploitation, social exploitation and sexual exploitation. For factors that cause high cases of exploitation of minors during the pandemic, namely, low family economy, low parental education, child abuse and fractures of the parents' households, and environmental influences and online learning. Perpetrators of child exploitation cases do not get a deterrent effect due to the lack of swiftness of the government to make regulations and penalties that provide a deterrent effect for perpetrators. Thus the importance of awareness of parents, society and the importance of law enforcement to protect minors in order to avoid the crimes of exploitation that are currently increasingly happening
