    Online Grammar Learning: How the Learners Perceive its Effectiveness

    The pandemic forced all learning to be done online using technologies that can connect students and teachers in different locations. This online teaching and learning also needs to be applied to the teaching and learning of English grammar which is usually much more comfortable to be done offline. This study was conducted to find out university students' perception about the effectiveness of their online grammar learning and their reasons to say that their online grammar learning is effective or ineffective. The data were collected by using a questionnaire to 35 university students of batch 2017, 2018, and 2019. The findings revealed that the most of the students (68.57%) perceived that the online grammar learning is not effective. The reasons are that they could not understand the materials easily when they learnt it online (65.71%), they could not interact with other friends to learn together (54.29%), they could not get grammar corrections from the teachers directly in online learning (37.14%), and they could not follow teachers' grammar explanation easily (37.14%). Besides that, the requirements that they needed to fulfill to use the applications for their online learning also becomes another problem in their grammar learning such as the applications used needed strong internet connections (65.71%), the applications required the students to have a large storage capacity in the device that they used for grammar learning (31.43%), and the applications required the students to have more than 1 gigabyte of internet quota (25.71%)

    Pengembangan Media Papan Hitung Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Materi Operasi Hitung Penjumlahan Siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah

    The use of mathematics learning media in the lower class is necessary because low-class students are not yet able to think abstractly, which is a need for visualization in reals form. The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes in addition to calculation operations with the help of counting board media. The development model used is the ADDIE model, with the sample being 20 students in grade 1. Data collection techniques used questionnaires, interviews, observations, tests, and documentation. The results of this validation related to the feasibility of design experts amounting to 88.33% including a very feasible category, material experts amounting to 84.17% including a feasible category, and learning experts amounting to 92.5% including a very feasible category. Then the results of the field trial obtained an N-Gain value of 0.73 which is included in the high category. So that the development of the counting board media can improve student learning outcomes in addition to operation material for MINU Unggulan Wali Songo Bojonegoro students

    Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang bagaimana penerapan media permainan spin roda berputar  pada siswa MI ,kajian ini di latar belakangi oleh kurangnya keaktifan atau partisipasi siswa pada proses pembelajaran ,serta kurangnya minat dan semangat dalam belajar ,oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan minat ,semangat belajar ,sekaligus kepercayaan diri pada  siswa ,metode penelitian yang di gunakan adalah dengan pendekatan kualitatif .Data digali dengan melakukan tindakan langsung pada kelas,dengan melakukan pengajaran dengan model permainan spin roda berputar pada materi ciri ciri makhluk hidup kelas 3 di MI AL-ISLAMIYAH Pasuruan,kesimpulan dari penelitian ini ,penerapan model permainan spin roda berputar bertujuan menumbuhkan minat ,semangat belajar juga kepercayaan diri  anak ,supaya siswa dapat menerima pelajaran dengan baik ,dan aktif dalam proses pembelajaran ,membentuk karakter yang kuat. Antusias para siswa meningkat dalam proses pembelajaran dengan di terapkannya model permainan spin roda berputar ,karana siswa juga terlibat aktif dalam proses pembelajaran

    Optimalisasi EMIS (Education Management Information System) melalui Mentoring Berkelanjutan pada Seksi PD Pontren Kantor Kemenag Kota Pasuruan

    EMIS (Education Management Information System) merupakan sistem informasi manajemen yang dikembangkan oleh Kementerian Agama untuk memudahkan input data lembaga pendidikan, seperti: Madrasah, Pondok Pesantren, dan Pendidikan Tinggi Islam. Tujuan pengembangan EMIS di lingkungan Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Islam antara lain: menyediakan data dan informasi yang dibutuhkan dalam perumusan kebijakan, perencanaan penyelenggaraan pendidikan, pengembangan poyek, penyusunan anggaran dan pengambilan keputusan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana EMIS dapat diperhatikan kebenaran datanya dan selalu di-update secara berkala. Metode yang digunakan yakni metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi dengan informan yaitu operator PPs yang dituju, tim gabungan visitasi lembaga, dan operator PD Pontren Kemenag Kota Pasuruan. Teknik analisis data yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa EMIS PPs mengalami kenaikan presentase update data setelah dilakukan Turba. Dengan rincian data yang sebelumnya hanya terisi sebanyak 28 lembaga dari total 32 lembaga menjadi 31 lembaga terisi. Satu lembaga yang memang tidak mengisi memilih mengundurkan diri dan memperpanjang Ijin Operasional. Sedangkan mentoring berkelanjutan yang dimaksud merupakan bimbingan secara berkala dengan tolok ukur updating EMIS. Selain itu, hal yang perlu diperhatikan adalah validasi data yang akan di input. Karena data tersebut sebagai acuan pengambilan keputusan dan kebijakan oleh Kementerian Agama RI ataupun Kota Pasuruan sendiri

    English Pre-Service Teachers’ Voice: Game Based Learning to Increase Students’ Learning Engagement

    In integrating technology in language learning can be done through various way, one of them through game based learning. The game which used in the language learning, especially English class can be used to increase students’ learning engagement. Since English is a foreign language in Indonesia, students need learning engagement in order to understand the material easily. However, in implementing game based learning, teacher need to consider the appropriate game based learning tool, especially pre-service teacher in their first teaching practice. The research used descriptive qualitative to describe how English pre-service teachers implement game based learning to increase students’ learning engagement and how students’ learning engagement is increased through game based learning through questionnaire. The subject was English pre-service teacher in one of state university in Surabaya. The result showed English pre-service teachers implemented game based learning at the first meeting, as main activity, and as assessment in order to increase students’ learning engagement.     Poverty constitutes a serious challenge faced by numerous countries and the global community at large, Indonesia being no exception. The causes of poverty in Indonesia encompass low educational attainment, minimal income, diverse geographic variations, and difficulties in accessing goods and services. In an endeavor to minimize the impact of poverty, the government has taken various measures, with one of them being focused on the education sector. Education is considered a crucial key in combating poverty and enhancing overall quality of life, both at the individual and societal levels. Education plays a strategic role in producing an educated and skilled workforce, serving as the backbone for improving Indonesia's economic conditions. From Ibn Khaldun's perspective, education provides individuals with opportunities to acquire the skills and competencies necessary in the workforce and professions, thereby enhancing income and addressing issues of poverty.     Based on the research, the problem is focused on how children's cognitive development and children's emotional development through the provision of stimuli with motion and song methods in children aged 5 years. The goal is, to find out the extent of development that occurs in children, especially in the cognitive and emotional aspects when using motion and song methods. The method used by the researcher is a phenomenological study based on events that occur in the field. The results of the research conducted found that the cognitive and emotional development of children was well stimulated using the motion and song methods applied to children. In addition, it also has a positive impact on other children's development such as language, social, artistic, kinesthetic, creativity, imagination, physical aspects as well as having an impact on body health which makes children more active and energetic

    Abstract. The role of digital media is much useful for contributing to creating reading habits through the benefit of technology. Technology has grown up these days, the young generation is living a life in the modern area, where they could get their education everywhere not bound to a classroom. That’s the way the promoting of to create a literate society or reading habit in this modern era is might be important for EFL to study more easily with creating a literate society through reading cause reading is the identification of the symbols and the association of appropriate meaning with them. This study describe about what is the level of students’ digital reading habits for academic text with descriptive quantitative and the correlation between students’ habits in reading digital academic text and their achievement, is there any correlation or not. 95 students who have done with their reading material for academic text in 4th semester, only 39 students were include for this research. 31 item questionnaire was distributed to obtain data about students’ reading habit in digital academic text and their achievements. For the second instrument is based from the final course reading exam. The first result in student’s reading habits in digital academic text have an average result habits in reading or low habits in reading based on the SPSS calculation for the descriptive statistic, it means there are some other aspects of student’s reading habits in this private university by comparing for the previous study. Afterward the researcher analyze the data after collecting it. The data shows that students’ reading habits in digital academic text don’t affect on student achievement, it means that there is no significant correlation between the students’ reading habits in digital academic text and their achievement in the 4th semester at the private university of Malang

    Tercapainya pendidikan yang unggul tergantung pada sekolah yang memenuhi standar tertentu agar dapat terus beroperasi sebagai lembaga pendidikan. Dalam upaya membangun sekolah unggul, sekolah telah menerapkan sistem penjaminan mutu. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA Negeri 11 Yogyakarta. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana SMA Negeri 11 Yogyakarta mengelola sistem penjaminan mutunya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan gambaran dan analisis pengelolaan Sistem penjaminan mutu di SMA Negeri 11 Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan dengan menggunakan metodologi deskriptif kualitatif. Penulis mengunjungi beberapa situs di SMA Negeri 11 Yogyakarta untuk mewawancarai responden yang sesuai dengan kriteria narasumber guna mengumpulkan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata tertulis maupun lisan. Pengamatan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi digunakan sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem manajemen penjaminan mutu SMA Negeri 11 berada pada kategori cukup. Dalam hal ini, kita dapat membedakan antara dua jenis sistem penjaminan mutu internal dan eksternal. Menurut kelemahannya, kepemimpinan, sumber daya manusia, dan infrastruktur semua pendukung mendukung dalam administrasi dan pelaksanaan sistem penjaminan mutu di SMA N 11 Yogyakarta

    Konsep dan Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar pada Lembaga Pendidikan Islam Studi Kasus di Madrasah Se-Jawa Timur

    Pendidikan di Indonesia masih hangat memperbincangkan terkait kurikulum merdeka belajar. Masih terbatas rujukan mengenai teori, konsep, dan implementasi dari kurikulum merdeka belajar khususnya pada Lembaga Pendidikan Islam. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengupas tuntas konsep kurikulum merdeka belajar mulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, kendala, hingga solusi pada Lembaga Pendidikan Islam di Jawa Timur. Artikel dibuat berdasarkan penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan studi kasus kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis data interaktif versi Miles-Huberman. Disimpulkan bahwa konsep perencanaan dan pelaksanaan kurikulum merdeka belajar pada Lembaga Pendidikan Islam di Jawa Timur dilakukan melalui dua proses. 1) Sosialisasi empat pilar kurikulum merdeka belajar dari Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Islam bersama dengan Direktorat Kurikulum Sarana Kelembagaan dan Kesiswaan Madrasah Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia. 2) Menyiapkan infrastruktur seperti EMIS (Education Management Information System), sistem e-learning seperti PINTAR dan Mandiri Belajar untuk mendukung pelaksanaan kurikulum merdeka belajar
