Enhancing Online Art Purchasing Decision using Virtual Try-On
This study aims to measure how Virtual Try-On (VTO) impacts customer
satisfaction, attitudes, and purchasing decisions when buying art pieces in an online art
gallery. VTO is the use of augmented reality utilizing virtual technology to superimpose
objects on a person’s body or in their space. While VTO has been extensively studied in
the fashion, makeup, and even furniture industries, it has yet to branch into the online
art gallery sphere. This study addresses this knowledge gap by employing a quantitative
survey of 370 art-enthusiastic, tech-savvy U.S. residents including clients of the
Benesch Collection and respondents from Survey Monkey Audience. Building on
established frameworks such as Technology Acceptance Model by Davis (1989), this
survey captured potential customer’s satisfaction levels(SAT), attitudes (ATT), and
overall purchasing decisions (PURD) using VTO during their shopping experience.
The key findings of this study show that ease of use, perceived usefulness, and
satisfaction levels all positively and directly increase the likelihood of a purchase.
Pearson Correlation analysis shows a relationship between all three variables, ATT,
SAT, and PURD, with the most correlated variables being SAT and ATT with a
correlation score of .835 and the least correlated being PURD and ATT with a
correlation score of .743. The Factor analysis also showed promising results that inform
one of the survey’s overall validity. The results paint a picture showcasing how VTO can
be used as a valuable tool in increasing customer satisfaction while encouraging
positive attitudes towards the buying experience, thus limiting buyer apprehension and
increasing purchasing decision likelihood.
This study concludes with potential research to further this knowledge as well as
limitations experienced throughout the research process. Research, such as continued
qualitative studies in addition to this quantitative study, could greatly benefit tech
developers as well as art professionals. Limitations include the size of the sample used
and the use of additional material in the survey.Masters Thesi

Characterization of cultural and creative industries: The case of Tijuana-Ensenada, B.C.
Since the latter half of the 20th century, the concepts of cultural industry and creative economies
have become increasingly prominent in specialized literature and its popular dissemination. Two reasons
explain this: first, the role played by the intangibles of knowledge and creativity in these industries and the
broader economy, and second, the importance of these industries for economic and social development in
many regions. In Mexico, the last two decades have begun to see a cultural and creative pole emerge in the
cities of Ensenada and Tijuana, in Baja California. First came the region’s wine industry, which boasts a
history going back two centuries. This was later coupled with the development of local gastronomy, with
Ensenada named UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy in 2015. Lastly, a substantial craft beer industry
has become established in Baja California’s most populated areas, driven by the boom in the industry in
California, USA. Thus, Ensenada-Tijuana has the potential to become a cultural and creative pole, but there
is insufficient information available to estimate this potential. Mapping the CCIs in the region is therefore a
considerable challenge. Against this backdrop, this research offers an initial situational analysis of the
ecosystem of creative industries in Ensenada and Tijuana, Mexico, with a focus on youth inclusion
processes. The industry mapping methodology proposed by Colombia’s National Consulting Center (CNC)
(2019) was used as the basis to design a survey for young creatives, which included 15 items aimed at
identifying the main areas of interest and the creative disciplines that young people are engaged in, as well
as the challenges and opportunities they encounter in these industries. This project constitutes an initial
characterization of the CCIs in the cities of Ensenada and Tijuana, classifying the young creatives in this
ecosystem and identifying the primary economic activities in the sector.https://www.shs-conferences.org/articles/shsconf/pdf/2025/02/shsconf_conridit2025_05002.pd
Journal of Management Development
Purpose – The results confirm that Human Resource Practices (HRPs) positively influence both happiness
management and brand pride, but not performance directly. In contrast, both happiness management and brand
pride significantly affect job performance. Furthermore, a marginal mediation of happiness management is also
observed in the relationship between HRPs and performance (p 5 0.051), which suggests a near-significant
emotional mechanism. Significant mediations of brand pride and happiness management are also found between
pride and performance.
Design/methodology/approach – A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed with 408 participants.
Data were analysed using covariance-based structural equation modelling (CB-SEM) to assess the direct and
indirect relationships proposed in the theoretical model.
Findings – The results reveal that happiness management is positively associated with both organisational
justice and commitment, with justice partially mediating this relationship.
Research limitations/implications – The cross-sectional design and non-probabilistic sampling restrict causal
inference and generalisability. Future studies should employ longitudinal approaches and test moderators such
as leadership style or perceived organisational support.
Practical implications – The findings guide higher education leaders to implement emotional and
psychological training programmes that foster happiness, fairness and commitment through transparent
workload allocation, fair promotion systems and participatory decision-making.
Social implications – Promoting organisational cultures grounded in happiness and justice strengthens equity,
well-being and institutional resilience, contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals SDG 4 (Quality
Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
Originality/value – The study provides novel evidence in the Ibero-American context by integrating four
constructs into a single explanatory model, extending social exchange theory from an emotional perspective. It
highlights that happiness management constitutes a management strategy and an ethical and cultural
responsibility for building more human and sustainable organisations. Practical implications include promoting
emotionally intelligent communication, symbolic recognition practices and a culture thatfosters employee pride
and well-being.Journal of Management Developmenthttps://www.emerald.com/jmd/article-abstract/doi/10.1108/JMD-05-2025-0292/1333243/Effects-of-happiness-management-and-organisational?redirectedFrom=fulltext&utm_source=researchgate.net&utm_medium=articl
Performance Dynamics of BB84 QKD Protocol in Noisy Quantum Channels: A Simulation Study
In this work, we present a detailed analysis of the BB84 Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) protocol implementation using Qiskit’s quantum circuit simulation framework. Our study examines protocol performance across five commonly studied quantum noise models: depolarizing, amplitude damping, phase damping, generalized amplitude damping, and Pauli channels. The implementation incorporates Cascade error correction and Toeplitz matrix-based privacy amplification, evaluated through systematic simulations with key lengths ranging from 100 to 5000 qubits and error rates varying between 0.01 and 0.2. Using Qiskit’s matrix_product_state simulator, we analyze the relationships between measured error rates, achieved key rates, and theoretical Holevo bounds under various noise conditions. These results highlight distinct performance patterns across noise models, with optimal key rates varying significantly based on the noise environment. These findings offer valuable insights into the practical limitations and capabilities of BB84 QKD in noisy quantum channels, providing guidelines for implementing robust error correction and privacy amplification strategie

This study presents a systematic review of the evolution of Happiness Management in workplace contexts from 2010 to 2024, analysing methodologies,
theoretical frameworks, and sectoral focuses. A quantitative and descriptive approach was used, selecting peer-reviewed studies from SCOPUS and
Web of Science based on predefined inclusion criteria. The PRISMA model guided the review process to ensure methodological rigor. Findings indicate
that research is dominated by quantitative, cross-sectional studies, mainly in large organisations in banking, education, and healthcare. Positive
Psychology and the Job Demands-Resources Model are the most frequently applied theories. However, limited research exists on SMEs and the gig
economy, inconsistencies in measurement methods, and a lack of longitudinal studies assessing the long-term impact of workplace happiness. Additionally,
the effects of COVID-19, digital transformation, and automation on employee well-being remain underexplored. Happiness at work differs from
concepts like “work climate” and “job satisfaction”. While work climate focuses on organisational perceptions and job satisfaction assesses specific
conditions, happiness at work represents a broader, long-term state of well-being, integrating engagement, purpose, and fulfilment. Addressing these
gaps requires interdisciplinary research integrating emerging theoretical frameworks, comprehensive measurement tools, and diverse methodological
approaches to develop strategies that enhance employee well-being, organisational performance, and resilience in evolving work environmentsDIALNEThttps://dialnet.unirioja.es/servlet/articulo?codigo=1016059
