Impacto del estrés en los procesos cognitivos y el desempeño académico: estudio de caso de un estudiante universitario
Pág. 51Los efectos del estrés en las diferentes etapas del desarrollo de un individuo pueden alterar de forma significativa el funcionamiento de diferentes sistemas del organismo teniendo consecuencias a nivel conductual y epigenético. La comprensión de los alcances del estrés en la vida de los individuos, adquiere relevancia en el entorno universitario toda vez que esto conduce a desarrollar e implementar estrategias encaminadas al desarrollo integral del estudiante (McEwen, 2017; McLean, 2021) El presente trabajo documenta un estudio de caso de un estudiante universitario que cursa el segundo año de la carrera de Ingeniería Industrial, quien fue referido por la coordinación académica desde su ingreso a la universidad al área encargada de brindar orientación educativa y psicológica, por presentar dificultades académicas y conductas asociadas a un procesamiento de información diferente al resto de sus compañeros, lo que a opinión de los docentes, era indicador de un bajo pronóstico de permanencia en la universidad. Se realizó la intervención con el estudiante, con el objetivo de lograr su adaptación al entorno universitario y brindar las herramientas necesarias para asegurar la permanencia en la carrera elegida y en la universidad. La metodología implementada cuenta con un diseño de tipo cualitativo descriptivo. Se utilizó la entrevista como instrumento para la recolección de información, un formulario para el registro y descripción de las sesiones. Se aplicó la Batería Neuropsicológica de Funcionamiento Ejecutivo (BANFE-2) para evaluar procesos cognitivos. A partir de los resultados se determinó implementar un grupo de estrategias en tres categorías: a) afrontamiento del estrés; b) autorregulación; c) resolución de problemas. Después de un año de intervención se evidencian efectos significativos, el estudiante ha mostrado mejora en su rendimiento académico, en su capacidad de atención y concentración, disminución en niveles de estrés y su percepción de bienestar en general.DOI: https://doi.org/10.14679/414

This work presents the development and implementation of an autonomous navigation system for the TurtleBot 2 robot, leveraging the ROS (Robot Operating System) framework. The system integrates a discrete path-planning algorithm to achieve an efficient and adaptive trajectory. The proposed approach utilizes the A* algorithm for path planning. The TurtleBot 2 is a widely recognized mobile robot platform designed for research and education in robotics. At the same time, the Jetson TX2 is a compact, high-performance computing board that facilitates real-time processing and AI integration. The results validate the proposed system's performance, highlighting the robot's ability to follow predefined paths, maintain accurate positioning, and reach goals efficiently. La presente investigación analiza el efecto del estrés laboral y la felicidad en el trabajo sobre los hábitos de consumo en México, destacando su impacto en el bienestar y productividad de los empleados. El estudio, de diseño no experimental y transversal, incluyó 233 empleados de diversos sectores, seleccionados por conveniencia. Los datos, recolectados mediante un cuestionario en línea, revelan que el estrés laboral tiene un efecto significativo y positivo en los hábitos de consumo emocionales y externos, mientras que la felicidad en el trabajo no muestra una influencia directa. Además, el estrés laboral afecta negativamente la felicidad en el trabajo. Estos hallazgos subrayan la importancia de gestionar el estrés laboral y la implementación de políticas organizacionales para reducirlo, fomentando un entorno saludable. ABSTRAC: This research analyzes the effect of work stress and happiness at work on consumer habits in Mexico, highlighting their impact on employee well-being and productivity. The study, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional design, included 233 employees from various sectors, selected by convenience. The data, collected through an online questionnaire, reveal that work stress has a significant and positive effect on emotional and external consumer habits, while happiness at work shows no direct influence. Furthermore, work stress negatively affects happiness at work. Microalgae cultivation using livestock wastewater (LW) has the potential to be used to develop efficient
wastewater treatment systems and promote biodiesel production. This study analyzed the correlation between
the Human Development Index (HDI) and livestock productivity in Mexico, revealing a positive strong rela
tionship (0.8694 and p-value<0.0001) and highlighting the potential of improved waste management to foster
societal development. In addition, this study evaluated the use of LW as a culture medium for microalgae,
implementing the strategy of sedimentation and dilution with treated wastewater to enhance its physicochemical
suitability. The effects on microalgal growth, COD and NO3
− removal efficiency, and lipid yield were evaluated.
The maximum biomass production, indicated by cell concentration, was observed in the synthetic culture me
dium (BBM) (2.5 × 107 cells mL− 1
). In comparison, the diluted LW (7PS:3 L) medium was demonstrated as an
alternative culture medium, achieving a cell concentration of 1.57 × 107 cells mL− 1
. The results revealed that LW
did not significantly inhibit the microalgae's capacity to reduce COD and nitrogen. Particularly, the cultivated
microalgae using LW showed a high lipid yield (207 mglipid grambiomass
− 1 ), which was significantly higher than
BBM 2 and BBM 6 (p-value <0.0001). Furthermore, the use of LW (7PS:3 L) resulted in a favorable lipid profile,
characterized by a high content of total unsaturated fatty acids (85 %). Therefore, this work contributes to the
development of a livestock wastewater management strategy and its use as an alternative substrate for biodiesel

This work proposes a human-following robot based on deep learning techniques. The system utilizes a deep neural network to detect and track a target in real time, using an onboard camera coupled with an autonomous navigation module for safe operation. Key challenges such as handling occlusions, varying lighting, and real-time processing are addressed. The anticipated result is a robust system applicable to personal assistance, security, and healthcare. The proposed methodology integrates real-time object detection using the YOLOv4 deep learning model with a histogram-based identity lock mechanism for consistent person tracking. The integrated camera captures live video, which is processed locally to detect and follow a human target. Motion commands are computed based on the position and size of the detected bounding box and sent to TurtleBot2 using the Robot Operating System. In experimental tests, the robot maintained an average tracking accuracy of 94.6% with a real-time processing speed of 12-15 fps and a command response delay of 0.3 seconds.
