Post-Modernism and the Emergence of Alternate History
Full text linkThe emergence of post-modernism in the mid-20th century marked a seismic shift in historical knowledge, challenging long-held assumptions about the relationship between language, truth, and reality. This paper explores the profound impact of post-modernism on the discipline of history, focusing on its influence on the concept of alternate history. Post-modernist thought contends that language constructs our understanding of the world rather than merely representing reality, leading to the recognition that there is no single, objective truth in history. The paper delves into the critiques and alternative frameworks notable historians propose within this post-modernist framework. It begins by examining Alun Munslow's concept of "deconstructing history," which encourages historians to critically analyze historical narratives and acknowledge the subjectivity inherent in interpretation. Keith Jenkins's "own-sakism" is introduced as a response to the post-modernist critique of historical objectivity, advocating for acknowledging and embracing historians' subjectivity. The paper also explores Hayden White's "metahistory," which critiques the narrative structure of history and invites historians to be more self-conscious about narrative choices. It concludes by highlighting the enduring legacy of post-modernism in history, emphasizing the importance of reflexivity, transparency, and critical self-examination in the pursuit of historical knowledge. The paper contends that post-modernism has not only challenged historical objectivity but has also opened up new possibilities for a more inclusive and diverse historiography

The aim of this research is to determine the minimum income per day from photo frame production using the variable reduction method. The method used in this research is the variable reduction method. The variable reduction method produces an optimal solution with all decision variables in the form of integers without having to branch or add gomory constraints. Based on the result of research using the variable reduction method, Giant Photo Terminal produces a minimum of 4 units of 16 R size photo frames and a minimum of 3 units of 18 R size photo frames every day with a minimum daily income of IDR. 570.000
PENGARUH JUMLAH HARI HUJAN, SUHU DAN KELEMBAPAN TERHADAP PENYAKIT DEMAM BERDARAH DENGUE MENGGUNAKAN REGRESI LOGISTIK MULTINOMIAL
Full text linkGigitan nyamuk Aedes Aegypti merupakan vektor penyebaran virus dengue penyebab demam berdarah dengue (DBD) ke manusia. DBD biasanya menyerang negara-negara seperti Indonesia yang memiliki iklim tropis atau subtropis. Kasus DBD menyebar di 34 Provinsi Indonesia, dan Kalimantan Selatan menempati peringkat ke-9 berdasarkan Incidence Rate (IR) pada tahun 2018. Kota Banjarbaru menempati peringkat kedua dari 13 Kabupaten/ Kota di Kalimantan Selatan. Selama tahun 2017 hingga 2021, jumlah kasus DBD di Kota Banjarbaru mencapai lebih dari 1000 kasus, melebihi jumlah kasus di Kabupaten/ Kota lain yang terdapat di Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan. Dengan menggunakan model regresi logistik multinomial, penelitian ini mencoba mengetahui pengaruh suhu, kelembapan, dan jumlah hari hujan terhadap penyakit demam berdarah di Kota Banjarbaru. Regresi dengan variabel terikat kategorikal dikenal sebagai regresi logistik multinomial. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dan uji data kasus jumlah penderita penyakit DBD yang dibagi menjadi tiga kategori yaitu tidak ada kasus, kasus rendah dan kasus tinggi dengan variabel bebas yaitu jumlah hari hujan, suhu dan kelembapan. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan faktor jumlah hari hujan berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap penyakit DBD pada fungsi logit kasus rendah, sedangkan faktor suhu dan kelembapan tidak berpengaruh signifikan. Nilai Odds Ratio faktor jumlah hari hujan yaitu sebesar 37,2% berpeluang terjadi kasus rendah untuk setiap peningkatan satu hari hujan dibandingkan tidak ada kasus
An Analysis of Gestures used By English Teacher in Learning and Teaching Process at The Elemntary School No 54 Anak Air Padang (West Sumatra)
Full text linkThis article is investigating thet expressive speech acts by netizen in responding the posts about rising oil price on Instagram infopadang_id. The research used descriptive qualitative approach. The instruments used were observation and documents checklist. The data of this research were collected by using purposive sampling technique. The source of data was the comments on infopadang_id started from March 16th until March 22nd. The data were analyzed qualitatively by using Speech Act theory by Searle, Yule and Levinson. The result found were 10 expressive acts found in the comments about the rising cooking oil price, they were expressing anger, expressing irritation, resignation, mocking, surprise, sadness, disappointment, ignorance, suspiciousness and satire. These types of expressive speech acts also represent the netizen social identity and major social responses toward the current situation

No full textAn educational institution located in Kuningan Regency, specifically in Jalaksana District, has implemented the independent curriculum with differentiated learning to meet students' learning needs based on their learning styles. However, determining learning styles requires a lengthy process and time. Moreover, the criteria used for determination have not yet referred to students' learning styles, resulting in inaccurate identification of students' learning styles. To address this issue, a decision support system using the profile matching method is employed, which compares students' actual data values with the expected profile to identify competency gaps. This method uses criteria such as communication, learning, memory, and attitude. The goal is to facilitate the school in determining students' learning styles. The outcome of this study is the generation of recommendations for students' learning styles calculated using the profile matching method. The calculations yielded the highest score of 4.6 for the visual learning style and the lowest score of 3.6 for the auditory learning style. The accuracy rate obtained is 97.92% or in another word it can be said that it is effective and accurate for the school to use in determining students' learning styles

Full text linkBerdasarkan fakta yang terdapat di lapangan bahwa masih kurangnya persiapan peserta didik untuk menghadapi pelaksanaan OSN di Sekolah Menengah Atas. Adapun tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini yaitu untuk melakukan pendampingan dalam mempersiapkan OSN bagi peserta didik pada tingkat Kota/Kabupaten. Metode yang dilaksanakan pada kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu dengan melakukan kegiatan pendampingan terhadap peserta didik yaitu dengan memberikan pengenalan karakteristik soal-soal olimpiade, pemberian soal-soal dan pembahasannya, serta melakukan evaluasi. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, diketahui bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan peserta didik dalam mengerjakan soal-soal persiapan OSN.Kata Kunci: Pendampingan, OSN, matematika, biologi
STRENGTHENING EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION THROUGH ENVIRONMENTAL CARE AND UTILIZATION OF SCHOOL TOYS IN GREEN SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Full text linkThis community service was conducted through the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach to enhance the quality of early childhood education at TK Islam Harapan Ibu. Through active involvement from the school, parents, and community, this community service program aims to identify, plan, implement, and evaluate activities focused on the movement to care for the school's toy scope and integrate the Green School program. In this study, a significant improvement in children's engagement and creativity during learning activities using toys was found. Strong support from educators and parents played a crucial role in the success of this program. The sustainability of the movement to care for the school's toy scope and integration of the Green School program are expected to continue to develop and make a significant contribution to improving the quality of early childhood education in the community. PENDAMPINGAN INOVASI PEMBELAJARAN BAGI GURU IPA PPG PRAJABATAN DI SMPN 24 MALANG
Full text linkPendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) Prajabatan memiliki peran penting dalam membekali calon guru dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan untuk menjadi guru yang profesional dan inovatif. Salah satu aspek penting dalam PPG adalah pendampingan guru dalam melakukan inovasi pembelajaran di sekolah. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan teknis pendampingan Dosen kepada Guru IPA PPG Prajabatan dalam melakukan inovasi pembelajaran yang tepat di sekolah. Metode pendampingan yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini terdiri dari 4 tahap, yaitu 1) tahap persiapan, 2) tahap pelatihan, 3) tahap implementasi, dan 4) tahap evaluasi. Instrumen yang digunakan selama pendampingan berupa lembar wawancara, modul pelatihan, lembar observasi, dan lembar evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan pendampingan kepada Guru IPA PPG Prajabatan meliputi: 1) penemuan masalah pembelajaran pada tahap persiapan; 2) penentuan materi pelatihan yang sesuai dengan masalah yang ditemukan; dan 3) penerapan inovasi pembelajaran di kelas dan melakukan observasi pada tahap implementasi; dan 4) identifikasi hambatan dan efek dari pelaksanaan inovasi pada tahap evaluasi. Proses yang sistematis dan berkelanjutan dalam pelaksanaan pendampingan sangat membantu Guru IPA PPG Prajabatan dalam merancang dan menerapkan inovasi pembelajaran di sekolah. Dengan pendampingan yang tepat, Guru IPA PPG Prajabatan dapat mengembangkan kemampuan mereka untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di institusi mereka
IMPLEMENTASI KONSELING KELOMPOK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN REGULASI EMOSI IBU DI SURABAYA
Full text linkPeran sebagai ibu memberikan tekanan tersendiri bagi wanita. Tekanan-tekanan yang diterima dapat mempengaruhi perilaku yang ditunjukkan oleh ibu. Salah satunya adalah perilaku agresi terhadap anak. Saat ini, masih banyak ibu yang terlihat melampiaskan emosinya kepada anak dalam bentuk perilaku agresi seperti memukul, mencubit, menendang, membentak dan berbicara kotor. Hal ini juga terjadi pada ibu di Sekolah Rakyat Surabaya. Kondisi emosi orang tua yang belum matang saat sudah memiliki anak mempengaruhi bagaimana pengasuhan yang dilakukannya kepada anak. Hasil survei terhadap 9 orang ibu-ibu yang tinggal di lingkungan sekolah rakyat menunjukkan bahwa 8 diantaranya memiliki kesulitan untuk meregulasi emosinya dengan tingkat sedang dan tinggi. Oleh karena itu, pemeriksa ingin memberikan intervensi kepada kelompok ibu-ibu yang tinggal di lingkungan sekolah rakyat. Intervensi ini menggunakan pendekatan konseling behavioral dimana anggota kelompok akan belajar keterampilan baru yaitu keterampilan regulasi emosi. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa intervensi yang dilakukan dapat memberikan perubahan perilaku kepada anggota kelompok yang kooperatif selama intervensi dilakukan. Anggota kelompok yang aktif terlibat dalam intervensi mendapatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam meregulasi emosi mereka ketika berada di bawah tekanan
Utilization of Digital Media Youtube As A Da’wah Space For Darussalam Gontor
Full text linkIslamic boarding schools throughout the country, have significantly contributed to the nation’s independence. These educational institutions promote moderate Islam through various means, particularly da'wah, to counteract radicalism and extremism while fostering religious harmony. In the digital age, many Islamic boarding schools, including Darussalam Gontor University under auspicies of Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor (PMDG), utilize social media platforms such as YouTube to disseminate da'wah. Despite this, the perception persists that Islamic boarding schools are rigid and antiquated, characterized by traditional and conservative da'wah practices. Addressing this perception, this research explores how Darussalam Gontor Islamic boarding school navigates the advancements in new media to maintain moderate da'wah. This study employs a qualitative approach with an analytical-descriptive method, used interviews, digital media observations, and literature reviews for data collection, and ensuring data validity through triangulation. The findings reveal that modern pesantren, including traditionalist ones, are capable of adapting to new media developments. They contribute to democratic values, align with the ideals of Indonesian nationality without specific agendas, and support civil society in achieving democratic objectives through "Wasatiy" da'wah showcased in various social media contents, such as Islamic music, short films, sermons, and advice
