From Pesantren to Nation: KH. Ghalib’s Contribution to Islamic Education in Pringsewu
Get PDFIslamic boarding school (pesantren) is one of the oldest educational institutions in Indonesia plays a centralized role in cultivating scientific tradition as well as building characterization of the nation. On its development, pesantren goes beyond merely religious education. Pesantren also makes contribution in social cultural to the society. One of the most important figure in Islamic education in Pringsewu, Lampung is KH. Ghalib. KH. Ghalib is an Islamic scholar that was born in Mojosantren, Krian, East Java. His presence in Pringsewu acted as a beacon in the darkness at the time. K.H. Ghalib left a mark on history, especially to Islamic education in Pringsewu, where its contribution is still widely felt. This research aims to study the role of KH. Ghalib in creating and developing pesantren in Pringsewu along with its impact toward the life of the society. The methodology used in this research is historical method which consists of four steps; heuristic, criticism, interpretation and histiography. The result of this research shows that KH. Ghalib plays a significant role in the development of Islamic education in Pringsewu. It can be concluded that KH. Ghalib provides a significant contribution to the development of Islamic education in Pringsewu also strengthens the role of pesantren as an educational institution that contributes to build the nation’s character
Utilization of Technology-Based Learning Media in Online Arabic Language Learning at Annajm Academy
Get PDFOnline learning was initially used to facilitate students so they could study from home when the Covid-19 outbreak hit. Currently, everyone is getting used to online learning, and many institutions are starting to provide learning, one of which is Annajm Academy. However, there are many obstacles faced when learning online, among them, students often feel bored because their learning only focuses on looking at the screen. To make learning more interesting, interesting and varied learning media are available to support learning. This research aims to find out how much benefit technology-based teaching media has in supporting Arabic language learning at Annajm Academy. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with the Miles and Huberman method in data analysis. The results obtained from this research are that there are several learning media used during Arabic language learning at Annajm Academy, including charts, YouTube videos, PowerPoint, online games and quizzes, and zoom as the main learning media. All of these media complement each other so that they can support learning to be more communicative even though it is carried out online

According to Nurcholish Madjid, discipline is not just a social attitude, but also a manifestation of an individual's belief and diversity towards God. Implikasi Humanisme Antroposentris dalam Kehidupan Manusia Modern
Get PDFHumanism is a school of thought that emphasizes human value and dignity, individual freedom, and the potential for human rationality in shaping their own lives. This research was conducted using qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Humanism developed from Renaissance thought which shifted attention from cosmocentrism and theocentrism to anthropocentrism, where humans became the center of thought. However, humanism is not free from criticism, especially from the perspective of religion, postmodern philosophy, and ecology which considers humanism to be too human-centered and ignores divine and environmental aspects. In this research, humanism is discussed in relation to divinity, criticism of humanism, and its implications in various aspects of life, such as education, psychology, philosophy, and art. This descriptive qualitative research was carried out through data analysis from various literary sources, revealing that despite criticism, humanism has had a significant influence on the development of human rights, democracy, and rational and secular thinking in the modern world
ANALISIS PROBLEMATIKA GURU DALAM MENERAPKAN KURIKULUM MERDEKA DI SD NEGERI 31 KOTA PAYAKUMBUH
Get PDFPenelitian ini dilatar belakangi permasalahan penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka dilihat dari pola yang muncul di lapangan, belum sepenuhnya terwujud karena berbagai persoalan yang dihadapi guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui problematika guru tentang perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan asesmen pembelajaran dalam Kurikulum Merdeka di SD Negeri 31 Kota Payakumbuh. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Kemudian analisis data dilakukan menggunakan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian problematika guru dalam menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka meliputi 3 hal. Pertama, pada perencanaan pembelajaran yaitu (1) Kesulitan guru dalam menganalisis Capaian Pembelajaran, (2) Guru kesulitan dalam mengembangkan langkah-langkah pembelajaran yang berdiferensiasi. Kedua, dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran yaitu (1) Guru kesulitan dalam menerapkan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi terutama dalam menerapkan metode pembelajaran yang interaktif, (2) Kesulitan dalam penerapan proyek penguatan profil pelajar pancasila, (3) Guru belum mampu membimbing dan memotivasi peserta didik berpartisipasi aktif dalam menerapkan pembelajaran mandiri, (4) dan Keterbatasan referensi buku ajar. Ketiga, pada asesmen pembelajaran yaitu (1) Guru dalam menyusun instrument penilaian tidak bervariasi, (2) Kesulitan melakukan tindak lanjut langsung. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam mengatasi dan meminimalisir permasalahan yang terjadi
ANALISIS REGRESI LOGISTIK ORDINAL TERHADAP FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI PREDIKAT KELULUSAN MAHASISWA SARJANA UIN IMAM BONJOL PADANG
Get PDFPerguruan tinggi mempunyai kewajiban untuk menjaga kualitas prestasi akademik mahasiswanya agar menghasilkan lulusan yang berkualitas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi predikat izin. Predikat pelamar dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor tertentu. Dalam penelitian ini variabel respon adalah predikat kelulusan dengan tipe data ordinal, yang terdiri dari pujian, sangat memuaskan dan memuaskan. analisis regresi logistik ordinal merupakan salah satu metode yang tepat karena variabel respon mempunyai skala ordinal (bertingkat). Terdapat beberapa variabel prediktor yang diduga berpengaruh pada predikat pernikahan antara lain jenis kelamin, fakultas, asal daerah dan lama studi. Data tersebut merupakan data sekunder dari Badan Administrasi Akademik dan Kemahasiswaan (BAAK) UIN Imam Bonjol. Predikat kelulusan dengan jumlah pujian memiliki angka sebesar 23,53%, sangat memuaskan 70,42% dan memuaskan 6,05%. Dengan pengujian serentak seluruh variabel prediktor secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel respon, namun model regresi logistik ordinal yang diperoleh tidak cocok dengan data yang lemah karena variabel bebas sehingga semua variabel bebasnya terjadi signifikan
Subtitling Strategies in Di bawahLindunganKa’bah Movie of Hamka
Get PDFSubtitling is one of the development of translation studies. Subtitling has flourished in a movie. More subtitling is more viewers. The using of English subtitle in Indonesian movie is fewer. The movie industry is growing rapidly but it is dominated by foreign movie with subtitle Indonesia. The Indonesian movie should have any subtitles. This study is aimed to analyze subtitling strategies of Di bawah Lindungan Ka’bah by Prof.Dr. H. Abdul Malik Karim Amrullah, who is known as Buya Hamka. The movie of Di bawah Lindungan Ka’bah mixes Dutch, Arabic, Indonesian and Minang languages. This movie uses English subtitles streamed on WeTV . The movie has famous movie ever in Indonesia, and take a part Academy Award 84 as the movie with foreign language. It is qualitative research. The author identifies the subtitling strategies use Gottlieb theories. The results of the research: The author : 1) from 445 subtitles, the study found that the subtitling strategies in Di bawah Lindungan Ka’bah : 77 paraphrase, 218 transfer, 4 imitation, condensation 21, 60 transcription, 19 deletion, 38 expansion, and 8 decimation. 2) The subtitling strategies used are 8 of 10; paraphrase, transfer, imitation, condensation, transcription, deletion, expansion and decimation, and the most used is transfer.Keywords: Di bawah Lindungan Ka’bah, Gottlieb, movie, subtitle strategies

Recognition of Voronoi Cell Distribution in Earthquake Epicenter Data in the Sunda Strait Region, Indonesia
Get PDFThe Sunda Strait is currently one of the busiest transportation hubs. However, this area has a significant history of geological disasters caused by the dynamic tectonic activity of the Eurasian and Indo-Australian tectonic plates. These disasters include the supervolcanic eruption of Krakatoa in 1883, the Sunda Strait tsunami in 2018, and decades of frequent earthquakes. To address these challenges, this study analyzes the frequency and distribution of seismic activity in the Sunda Strait region based on epicenter data recorded in the United States Geological Survey (USGS) Earthquake Catalog. We collected 440 multivariate earthquake data points between 1990 and 2023 (over three decades). The results of this study show that a machine learning approach accurately identified four relevant parameters for k-means clustering, followed by a silhouette value analysis to recognize the distribution of Voronoi cells. Based on earthquake data from the Sunda Strait from 1990 to 2023, the two highest silhouette analysis values, 0.40 and 0.39, are located at k=3 and k=5 in k-means clustering. This approach has recognized and identified the cell area of earthquake activity in the Sunda Strait, particularly around Anak Krakatoa. This study provides new insights into the spatiotemporal characteristics and identifies clusters of earthquake-prone areas. The information generated in this study facilitates the evaluation of future earthquake disaster risks, especially those with epicenters in the Sunda Strait region
THE EFFECTS OF STORY TELLING TECHNIQUE TOWARDS STUDENT’S SPEAKING SKILL IN NARRATING PAST EVENTS AT STATE ISLAMIC JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL 2 BUKITTINGGI
Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to determine the effect of storytelling techniques in improving students' speaking skills on retelling narrative texts at MTsN 2 Bukittinggi. A quantitative pre-experimental type was used in this study. The ninth grade students of State Islamic Junior School that were taken through cluster random sampling technique as the sample of the research. Speaking test was used as an instrument for data collection methods. Data analysis was t-test. The results of the data analysis showed storytelling techniques was better improving students' speaking skills in narrative texts. The speaking test included pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. The average pre-test score was 72.4, and the post-test score was 82.8. It is concluded that the technique of storytelling has a significant influence on students' speaking skills in MTsN 2 Bukittinggi. It implies that English teacher can use this technique to improve students’ English speaking skill
