    KEPALA MADRASAH SEBAGAI MOTIVATOR

    This article pertains to the Head of Madrasah as a Motivator at MA Nurul Muhajirin Sukatani, with the aim of examining the role of the madrasah head as a motivator. This research employs a qualitative method and a descriptive approach. Data is collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Subsequently, the data is analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. To ensure data validity, data triangulation is utilized, which includes source triangulation, method triangulation, and technique triangulation. Based on the results and discussions outlined above, it can be concluded that the madrasah head at MA Nurul Muhajirin Sukatani-Tanjung Lago-Banyuasin-South Sumatra has effectively fulfilled their role and responsibilities as a leader. As a leader, they have provided motivation to all stakeholders involved in education, especially educators. There are four key activities carried out by the madrasah head in their role as a motivator, namely articulating an inspiring vision and mission for the madrasah, providing support to educators and the education sector, promoting collaboration among various elements within the madrasah, and implementing innovations in the field of education to ensure that education remains relevant, effective, and beneficial for students. Innovations in education enable the madrasah to overcome existing challenges and keep up with positive developments in the field of education

    Najmi Diyana Lathifah, with thesis title: "Teachers' Perceptions About the Competency of Administrative Staff at MTsN 2 Solok". In the Islamic education management department, Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty, Imam Bonjol State Islamic University, Padang. This research is motivated by the problem of school administration staff not respecting other people's opinions, giving rise to unfavorable assumptions related to employee performance, there are still many files that have piled up and are not neatly arranged, the educational qualifications and technical competence of school administration staff are still not in accordance with Permendiknas Number 24 of 2008, and there is no information regarding teacher perceptions regarding the performance of school administration at MTsN 2 Solok. The aim of this research is to measure the personality competence, social competence, technical competence of MTsN 2 Solok educational staff. To measure teachers' perceptions of the performance of administrative staff at MTsN 2 Solok. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with a descriptive approach in the form of survey research. The population in this study were all MTsN 2 Solok teachers, totaling 66 teachers. With a questionnaire instrument that has 70 questions. Reliability test uses Cronbach's Alpha formula. The results of the research show that the teacher's perception of the performance of school administration staff at MTsN 2 Solok, personality competency is in the quite good category at 53.03% (35 teachers). Teachers' perceptions regarding the performance of school administration staff at MTsN 2 Solok based on social competence are in the good category as many as 48 teachers or 72.73%. Teachers' perceptions regarding the performance of MTsN 2 Solok school administration staff based on technical competency are in the good category as many as 31 teachers or 46.96%

    ESP for Speaking Leraning Activities for Economics Students of UIN Raden Intan Lampung: A Need Analysis

    :    Need analysis in ESP used to find out the target situation or the need to adjust the use of language to the student’s work environment so that it can prepare students very well. Speaking is a learner’s ability to express himself or herself verbally, coherently, fluently, and precisely in the context of certain meanings. This research aims at: finding out the problem for Economics students, especially with speaking skills in learning English and identifying the students’ needs for speaking learning activities in English. The design of this reasearch is descriptive qualitiave. The object was speaking learning activities need and the subject was Syariah Economic students of UIN Raden Intan Lampung. The data were collected by using questionnaire and interview and the were analyzed by applying Miles Huberman model. The reseults showed that the students had problems in pronouncing English words since it is different between  the pronunciation and the written one. For hte necessities, it can be concluded that the students need to learn how to communicate and For the necessities in speaking, it can be concluded: the students need to learn how to communicate and to be able to apply the appropriate grammar. The students also want the material or theory provided by the teacher was expected to meed the need of the langauge use in job carier. The activities needed to be in groups and pairs to have a discussion related to Engish learning

    Trends in STEM education from 2020 to 2023: A critical review in selected academic publications

    The numerous amounts of research regarding STEM education in the last five years indicate that every country put their eyes on the development of STEM education itself. In the school settings, the STEM education rises starting from middle school to higher education. There is a need in reviewing the articles of STEM education for middle school students. By selecting 17 articles indexed by Scopus and has a grade of Q1, this study was conducted. The results of this critical review shows that the majority of articles can be divided into big three themes; the integration of STEM education with other instructional approaches, STEM and gender, and professional development in STEM education. This study implies that various instructional approaches can maximized STEM education to foster students learning output. There is also no correlation between gender and their cognitive skills while learning STEM subject. The most important thing, STEM education can be more successful if the teachers got a proper professional development

    Implementation of Android-Based Application Media in Sharia Stock Investment for Millennial Generation

    In the last two years, the millennial generation has been aggressively investing in stocks, including the millennial generation in Trenggalek District. One form of stock investment option is Sharia stocks. Education and training are needed to equip the millennial generation with knowledge about legal and safe Islamic stock investment and skills to use Android-based applications in analyzing financial statements, knowing the JCI (Composite Stock Price Index), and buying and selling shares. For this reason, education and training on investment and the use of android-based application media in Islamic stock investment for millennials in Trenggalek District was conducted with 32 participants aged between 25 and 40 years. Based on the posttest and pretest results, it is known that there is an increase in understanding of Islamic stocks and the ability to invest in Islamic stocks with an increase in score of 24.18%. The results of the pretest and posttest are supported by the results of interviews and observations showing that initially, the participants who did not know at all became more knowledgeable, while those who had learned before gained additional knowledge including in choosing mobile or android applications that can be easily used in investing in Islamic stocks.Dalam dua tahun terakhir, generasi milenial semakin gencar berinvestasi saham termasuk generasi milenial di Kecamatan Trenggalek. Salah satu bentuk pilihan invesatasi saham yaitu saham syariah. Edukasi dan pelatihan dibutuhkan untuk membekali generasi milenial tersebut dengan pengetahuan tentang investasi saham syariah yang legal dan aman serta keterampilan menggunakan aplikasi berbasis android dalam melakukan analisis laporan keuangan, mengetahui IHSG (Indeks Harga Saham Gabungan) dan melakukan jual beli saham. Untuk itu, dilakukan edukasi dan pelatihan tentang investasi dan penggunaan media aplikasi berbasis android dalam investasi saham syariah untuk generasi milenial di Kecamatan Trenggalek dengan peserta pelatihan sebanyak 32 peserta yang berusia antara 25 s.d 40 tahun. Berdasarkan hasil postes dan pretes diketahui bahwa terjadi peningkatan pemahaman tentang saham syariah dan kemampuan investasi saham syariah dengan peningkatan skor sebesar 24.18%. Hasil pretes dan postes tersebut didukung dengan hasil wawancara dan observasi menunjukkan bahwa yang semula peserta sama sekali belum mengetahui menjadi bertambah wawasan, sedangkan yang sudah pernah belajar sebelumnya mendapatkan pengetahuan tambahan termasuk dalam memilih aplikasi mobile atau android yang dapat dengan mudah untuk digunakan dalam melakukan investasi saham syariah

    Permasalahan yang terdapat pada Ritual Hari Kematian Rajo Nan Duo Selo dan Rajo Buek Di Nagari Padang Laweh kabupaten Sijunjung adalah: bahwa didalam agama Islam jika ada yang meninggal dunia maka dianjurkan untuk bersedih dan dilarang untuk meratap, sedangkan pada hari kematian Rajo Nan duo Selo dan Rajo Buek Di Nagari Padang Laweh pada hari kematiannya dilaksanakan acara maratok serta mengarak jenazah hingga ke kuburan dengan iringan talempong dan gendang.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian sejarah dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, yang lokasi penelitiannya adalah di Nagari Padang Laweh Kabupaten Sijunjung. Sumber primer dari penelitian ini adalah sumber lisan yang dilakukan dengan cara wawancara. Hasil penelitian dari Ritual Hari Kematian Rajo Nan duo Selo dan Rajo Buek di Nagari padang Laweh adalah: 1. Rajo adat meninggal pada tahun 1973, dan digantikan oleh cucu nya dan menjabat hingga sekarang. Pada hari kematian Rajo adat di tahun 1973 dilaksanakan beberapa rangkaian acara, yaitu Marato’i mayat saat akan turun rumah, dan juga dengan arakan talempong serta gendang. 2. Rajo ibadat meninggal pada tahun 2008, nama datuak yang meninggal tahun 2008 adalah datuak Isrin, dan digantikan oleh kemenakannya Datuak Sahirman yang juga masih menjabat hingga sekarang, seeta pada hari kematiannya juga dilaksanakan ritual seperti pada hari kematian Rajo adat. 3. Rajo Buek meninggal pada tahun 2015. Dan digantikan oleh cucunya yang bernama Datuak Roni dan masih menjabat hingga sekarang

    This research is motivated by the fact that employees' work motivation has not been measured so that it has an unfavorable impact on their performance. This research aims to find out what the level of employee work motivation is, what the level of employee performance is and whether there is an influence of Work Motivation on Employee Performance in the Administrative Sub division at the Padang City Ministry of Religion Office. The hypothesis proposed is whether there is an influence between work motivation and the performance of employees in the Administration Sub division at the Padang City Ministry of Religion office. In his research there are two variables, namely the independent variable (workmotivation) and the dependent variable (employee performance). This research is field research using a quantitative approach. This research method uses correlation with the Simple Linear RegressionTest (TTest). The population in this study was 31 employees taken using total sampling. The research instrument used 2 (two) questionnaires, Namely a questionnaire about Work Motivation and Employee Performance. Data were processed using (SPSS) Version 20.     Laboratories are complex environments, where social interactions and professional demandsblend with performance pressures and organizational hierarchies. Behind the seeminglyobjective scientific activity, there are emotional dynamics that influence individual behavior,one of which is embodied shame. Based on concepts discussed by Ruebottom and Toubiana(2024), this article explores the impact of shame on laboratory management. Internalizedshame can negatively impact laboratory dynamics by inhibiting collaboration, loweringemotional energy and creating a less productive work environment. Individuals who feelshame tend to shrink emotionally and physically, which inhibits their potential to innovate andcollaborate effectively. To address this issue, labs must create a psychologically safeenvironment, where members feel supported and free from fear to conduct experiments.Inclusive leadership that supports all groups, as well as providing opportunities for reflectionand personal growth, can help reduce internalized shame.     This article explains tafaqquh fiddin learning as an innovation in Islamic education in Islamic boarding schools. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. From the results of the analysis of the discussion, it can be concluded that Islamic boarding schools as a form of educational institution are one type of Islamic educational institution in Indonesia, whose educational goal is to deepen religious knowledge and practice it as a guide in daily life or what is called Tafaqquh Fiddin. This goal can be achieved. if the potential of students is developed properly and correctly based on the Islamic values contained in the Al-Qur'an. Tafaqquh Fiddin itself can be formed in students also through studying the yellow book at the pesantren, because the yellow book is a book that discusses religion, learning the yellow book is an important thing in forming Tafaqquh Fiddin
