    ABSTRAK Para Guru telah mencoba untuk menggunakan media untuk meningkatkan aktivitas pembelajaran. Fokus dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan motivasi pembelajaran dan pencapaiandari aktivitas pembelajaran Geografi dalam materi Tata Surya dan Jagad Raya melalui penggunaan Multi Media. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester pertama siswa kelas X tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 di SMAN 3 Mandau. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri atas empat langkah: Perencanaan, pelaksanan, Observasi dan Refleksi. Data dikumpulkan melalui penggunaan Lembar observasi dari aktivitas pembelajaran, dan juga dari peningkatan pencapaian hasil belajar siswa. Analisis ini bertujuan untuk memperlihatkan tingkat penguasaan dan ketuntasan belajar siswa, seorang siswa dikatakan tuntas secara indifidu apabila siswa tersebut memperoleh daya serap minimal 75, sedangkan ketuntasan klasikal adalah (85%).Untuk itu, penemuan dari penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penggunaan pendekatan Multi Media untuk meningkatkan motivasi hasil pembelajaran  siswa dalam materi pelajaran Tata Surya dan Jagad Raya pada mata pelajaran Geograf

    Abstract   This study aims to map the problem of the SK/KD students who have not dominated the UN competency test subjects Geography 2008, 2009, and 2010. Research conducted at SMAN 1 Pasaman, SMAN 1 Kinali, and Private School Al Istiqamah West Pasaman. This research is a descriptive study that describes the: 1) identify the outcome document of UN 2008, 2009, and 2010, 2) mapping the SK/KD students who have not dominated the UN competency test < 60, 3) identify the causes of low absorption of students through observation and distributing questionnaires to the geography teacher, and the students of class XI, 4) formulate an alternative model of problem solving through group discussion forum (FGD) with supervisor, principals, teachers, supervisors, student representatives, parent representatives. Research found that: 1) mapping the results of competency tests that have not dominated the UN SK/Specific KD of 42.5 percent in 2008, the year 2009 was 32.5 percent, and in 2010 ranged from 40.0 percent, 2) the factors causing the low level of student mastery of the competency test by the UN due to school factors, and subjects factor, 3) Alternative models of problem solving through the development of instructional workshops, and designing alternative models of learning through field trips as a geography laboratory applications

    Cocoa or also known as chocolate is  widely planted around the yard of the house .Crop Production price was very good in the market so it can help increase incomes. Lately cocoa crop production suffered many failures, especially in Kenagarian Lima Kaum, Tanah Datar Regency. The high risk of failure of cocoa crop yields caused by pests and diseases , among others : the fruit and stem borer can cause fruit to rot blackened . Besides cocoa pods are also attacked by fungus , which causes fruit rot entirely rotten and there is also a portion of the fruit . Chemical control had a negative impact on the environment and humans as well as livestock. While the use of botanical pesticides do not cause negative impacts to the human environment and animals, because these pesticides readily biodegradable and water soluble, readily available , cost less and homemade. Then the pesticide manufacturing plant is considered an appropriate choice is applied to agricultural productivity , especially in the cocoa plant back up and better welfare of the farming community

    Abstract The purpose of this study is to analyze  data on the influence of initial ability and soft skills to the cartography learning outcomes, the influence of soft skills learning outcomes and influence the ability of early cartography and soft skills together on student learning outcomes at the course cartography.   The type of research is a correlational descriptive research that looked at the relationship between one or several variables with one or more other variables. The independent variable is the ability to start and soft skills as well as the dependent variable is the result of studying cartography. The population in this study amounted to 193 people and the sample is 66 people selected by simple random sampling. Initial capability data and study results taken from the student while in high school geography class XII and class X semester 1 semester 1 and 2 and the UN geography subjects. Soft Skills While data collected through a structured questionnaire with Likert Scale models. Prior to the analysis carried out the analysis of test requirements test for normality, homogeneity, linearity and multicollinearity. After that, an analysis of descriptive and inferential statistics. The technique used is the correlation and regression.   The results revealed: 1). Initial ability affects the outcome of student learning in cartography courses at 14, 00%, 2). Soft Skills effect on student learning outcomes in Cartography course at 24, 30%, 3). Initial ability and soft skills together influence the learning outcomes of students in cartography courses of 32, 40%. Based on the above result, it is to improve student learning outcomes in cartography courses in the Department of Geography, Faculty of Social Science, State University of Padang needs to consider the initial ability and soft skills. Therefore, provisions need to be clear about the entry requirements to the department of geography for high school graduates and educators in this study need to device balanced learning between hard skills with soft skills.
