POSSIBILITIES OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN THE LIGHT OF SPIRITUAL VALUES
A pressing planetary problem – the cause of socio-economic inequalities,
the issue of distribution and redistribution of newly created value
has accompanied the economy since its inception, reaching large
proportions in the 21st century, especially in the developed countries
where the world’s financial and political centers of power are located.
The question is, what impact did the greatest (or, one of the greatest)
civilizational breakthroughs have on this problem – the meeting of
Jews and Greeks in ancient times? The direct proportion of economic
inequalities and the control of capital by large corporations, raises the
question: has the technical and technological progress throughout
the twentieth century led to economic progress, or has it led to the
creation of inequality?
Practice sees the state as the culprit, in the sense that the state does
not function properly, allowing individuals to steal from others and
create enormous wealth.
Does the use of the state by corporations open the door to Malthusian
theory – the need for wars and natural disasters in the interests of big
capital?
Inequalities as a consequence of corruption, or the non-functioning of
the state, are the antithesis of the need and guidelines for the functioning
of the state, explains Jean-Jacques Rousseau.
Spiritual development, according to the teachings of the Russian Orthodox
Church (T. Shevkunov), takes human dignity as the basic, starting
value of the overall development of society, as a value prerequisite
for all other values, which is not the case with economic developmen
Co-Creating Spirits Tasting Tourist Experience: a Conceptual Framework
Spirits tasting is typically seen as an on-site sensory
experience predicated on the tasting of whisky, wine, beer, or
other spirits by professionals, aficionados, and general
consumers. However, given its increasing significance in
shaping tourist experiences, which relies on mutual
engagement between providers and consumers, the domain of
spirit tasting necessitates a novel conceptualization to
adequately capture this evolving role. In this paper, the
conventional notion of spirits tasting is conceptualized from a
co-creation design paradigm using a narrative literature
review of academic papers and online articles to provide an
analysis of the current landscape. Apart from the on-site
tasting experience, this paper elaborates on the pre-tasting and
post-tasting experience phases from a tourist experience
design perspective. To place spirits tasting design in a broader
tourism sector, both drivers and potential outcomes of this
seminal approach are outlined, together with further research

“YOU ARE NOT THE SAME” — EXPERIENCES OF SOCIO-CULTURAL ADAPTATION OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
International students face numerous socio-cultural and academic challenges in their country of studying. The paper deals with the impact of the international studying experience on changing different aspects of international students’ lives. It relies on the results obtained within the IS-MIGaIN project, both via quantitative and qualitative methods. The aim of the research is to investigate the attitudes and experiences by international students in terms of whether and to what extent the migration experience has influenced the (re)construction of their personal and socio-cultural identity, in their own subjective perception. For the data analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, as well as thematic analysis via the MAXQDA 2024 program have been used. The experiences of change during studying abroad have been presented from the perspective of international students in Serbia and students from Serbia who either studied or are still studying abroad. The results indicate that there are complex and versatile experiences of transformation in different aspects of personality and life of international students, during the process of adaptation to the academic and socio-cultural framework of the society and state in which they study. A conclusion may be drawn that international students do recognise how much and in what way they have changed through interaction with new environment, and they mainly accept these changes and assess them as positive and useful
provobitne osnove i ostvarenje brojnih benefita
Investigating female consumers’ environmentally conscious apparel purchase behaviour through Stimulus-Organism-Response framework
The objective of the study is to examine the influential factors of female consumers’
environmentally conscious apparel purchase behaviour, in the context of an emerging European
economy. The study builds upon Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) theoretical framework and
proposes the moderating role of style orientation on the direct effects on purchase behaviour. Online
questionnaire-based survey was performed to gather data, using convenience sampling framework.
Hypothesized relationships were examined on a sample including 343 responses. Partial Least
Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), using SmartPLS4, was applied to examine
proposed research framework. Results of the study point to green self-identity as more influential
direct determinant of purchase behaviour, in comparison to green advertising, and the mediating role
of green self-identity in the relationship between green advertising and environmentally conscious
apparel purchase behaviour. The study revealed the moderating function of style orientation in the
relation between green self-identity and purchase behaviour. Theoretical and practical implications
of the study are discussed and limitations of the study, followed by future research directions to
overcome the drawbacks of the present research, are note

Становништво Србије – динамика и структуре
As census data play a significant role in analyzing population changes in Serbia makes this study important given the lack of a statistical population register and a series of demographic, socio-economic and other challenges facing Serbian society. The content is conceived so to bring into particular focus the regional aspects of demographic processes and phenomena, respecting this way a wide social need to understand the identified (sub)regional disparities in the development of the population of our country. The interdisciplinary geodemographic approach, which involves the use of methods of various scientific disciplines of population science – demography, geography, sociology and economy, has allowed making an integrative study on key demographic changes that happened in Serbia in the last intercensus period (2011-2022). It presents the trends and patterns of demographic phenomena and processes through the analysis of population dynamics, age and sex structure, educational composition, fertility, internal displacements, households’ dynamics, as well as a special group of Serbian citizens living abroad more than a year. It examines the regional and local aspects of recognized trends and patterns, and points out the particularly vulnerable areas of the country
The impact of climate change on human health: does legislation in Serbia adequately respond to the challenges?
The effects of climate change are numerous: from extreme weather events
with enormous amount of precipitation, to extreme droughts in parts of the planet
where this was previously uncommon. They can significantly affect the physical and
mental health of the human population. This paper will focus firstly on recognizing
the increasingly intense consequences of climate change in Serbia and their impact
on human health. After that, it will answer the question whether the threat of climate
change to human health is recognized in the strategies and legal regulations
in Serbia, and if so, whether legislation in Serbia adequately responds to those challenges.
The research results show that the connection between the climate change
and human health is not recognized in all relevant legislation. Recommendations for
appropriate legislative changes are provided

Adressing Patients’ Vulnerability Related to the Use of Artificial Intelligence – Legal Challenges
The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare is rapidly growing,
offering a range of potential benefits such as improved diagnostic accuracy,
and personalized treatment. However, the integration of AI in healthcare also
poses several legal and ethical challenges that need to be carefully addressed
to ensure patient safety, fairness, and equity. These challenges are primarily
related to privacy, surveillance, bias, discrimination, responsibility, and the
role of human judgment in medical decisions. As AI systems become more
integrated into healthcare, they are also becoming potential targets for
cyberattacks. These systems frequently deal with sensitive health data,
including patient records, where patient information is either stolen or
manipulated, as well as attacks that compromise the functionality of AI
systems, which could result in inaccurate diagnoses or inappropriate
treatment recommendations. In healthcare, even minor errors in AI-driven
procedures or protocols can have catastrophic consequences for patients,
who are already vulnerable due to their medical conditions. Given that
patients typically interact with healthcare professionals at their most fragile
moments, it is essential to ensure that AI systems operate with the highest
degree of accuracy and safety. Therefore, the need to address cybersecurity
vulnerabilities is critical due to the potentially severe consequences of AIrelated
cyberattacks within healthcare system. The integration of AI in
healthcare has enormous potential but comes with significant legal, ethical,
and technical challenges. These challenges must be addressed through
careful regulation, transparent practices, and continuous engagement of both
patients and healthcare professionals. Balancing the potential benefits of AI
with the protection of patient rights, the maintenance of trust in healthcare,
and the safeguarding of fairness are essential for the responsible use of AI in
healthcare. Nowadays, there are still no comprehensive regulations
specifically addressing the legal and ethical issues surrounding the use of Al
in healthcare. Hence, legal frameworks, ethical guidelines, and robust
supervision will be crucial in ensuring that AI's use in healthcare ultimately
benefits patients without compromising their safety, dignity, or rights. Top of
Form This paper aims to explore these critical concerns, emphasizing the
importance of algorithmic transparency, the protection of patient privacy,
and the safeguarding of all individuals from potential harm. Additionally, the
paper highlights the urgency of addressing cybersecurity vulnerabilities
associated with AI technologies in healthcare
