    No full text

    Get PDF
Vegetation plays an active role in ecosystem dynamics, and monitoring its patterns and changes is vital for effective environmental resource management. This study explores the possibility of machine learning techniques and remote sensing data to improve the accuracy of forest detection. The research focuses on the southeastern part of the Republic of Serbia as a case study area, using Sentinel-2 multispectral bands. The study employs publicly accessible satellite data and incorporates different vegetation indices to improve classification accuracy. The main objective is to examine the practicability of expanding the input parameters for forest detection using a machine learning approach. The classification process is performed by employing support vector machines (SVM) algorithm and utilising the SVM module in the scikit-learn package. The results demonstrate that including vegetation indices alongside the multispectral bands significantly improves the accuracy of vegetation detection. A comprehensive assessment reveals an overall classification accuracy of up to 99.01% when the selected vegetation indices (MCARI, RENDVI, NDI45, GNDVI, NDII) are combined with the Sentinel-2 bands. This research highlights the potential of machine learning and remote sensing in forest detection and monitoring. The findings underscore the importance of incorporating vegetation indices to enhance classification accuracy using the Python programming language. The study’s outcomes provide valuable insights for environmental resource management and decision-making processes, particularly in regions with diverse forest ecosystems

Green Marketing And Human Resource Management: Can They Do One Without The Other?

    No full text
For several decades, the economy has been talking about the merciless consumption of natural resources, about the unnecessary discarding of used resources, thereby indicating the need to preserve the planet earth, but also about the need to recycle resources, wherever possible. This decades-long insistence on preserving the country's biodiversity led to the creation and public proclamation of SDS 17 principles in 2015 in the United Nations. That document is called the UN Agenda 2030. From an economic point of view, any marketing includes green product, green price, green sales and green distribution as key points. An open question arises, how is human resource management related to this? Although on the surface it seems incompatible, with a deeper analysis and an insight into the literature, it can be seen that green marketing and human resource management are tightly connected. In addition to the above four items, human resources can be said to be the fifth item that depends on the functioning of green marketing, the placement of every product, including green ones. In the concept of sustainable and green development, green marketing plays an important role, and human resource management is a concept without which no company can function and be successful today, not even a green one. In the last twenty years, the business function of human resources management has become very developed and represented, so that without it it is impossible to talk about the successful operation of a company. The goal of this research paper is to point out the connection between green marketing and human resource management with the purpose of achieving competitiveness and meeting the needs of consumers

Innovations effect on CO2 emissions: asymmetric panel data approach

    No full text
The objective of this study is to uncover the nature and strength of the effect that innovations have on CO2 emissions. The main motivation of this research is to offer reliable and credible findings by eliminating some methodical and conceptual shortcomings of the existing papers. The scope of the analysis is examining the innovations-CO2 emissions relationship in a sample of 43 countries in the period from 1991 to 2018. The research is based on the application of hidden panel cointegration theory and the concept of a partially asymmetric cointegration equation. The main findings of the study demonstrate that when innovations grow by 1%, the pattern of their change leads to an increase in CO2 emissions by an average of 0.006%. At the same time, when innovations decline by 1%, their change leads to a reduction in CO2 emissions by an average of 0.001%. Strictly speaking, in the phase of innovations growth, they have environmentally hostile average influence, while in the phase of innovations reduction, their impact is on average environmentally friendly. The average effect of innovations is very asymmetric, because negative environmental impact is about six times stronger than the positive one. Analysis by countries demonstrates that innovations influence varies significantly from country to country. The impact is environmentally friendly in only 32.6% of countries, regardless of whether innovations increase or decrease. In the remaining cases, the influence on the environment is hostile either when innovations grow, when they decline, or in both situations. The main conclusion of this study is that nature of the impact of innovations on CO2 emissions is quite unfavorable, which points to the need for much greater support for green innovations

Mentalno zdravlje i dostojanstven rad - izazovi pravne zaštite

    No full text
