Chain Reaction: Disasters, Social Inequalities, and Bioethics
Disasters and Crises are not the same, although they share some similarities. While first are almost unpredictable, sudden, and have their own time frame, crises are more structured issues that may be or tend to become ongoing.
A latent social concern that causes cumulative damage is the inter- twining of the terms of crisis and disaster in everyday, public, and scientif- ic speech, which started to spread globally simultaneously with spread of the SARS-CoV 2 virus. Such an epistemological inversion of the pandemic is just one of the causes for the chain reaction which provokes accepting new realities which comprehend disaster as omnipresent and constant. After the virus’ outbreak, the world aimed at normalizing the every-
day life, or returning to the pre-pandemic state.
However, the general aspiration of returning to normal, which devel- oped during the pandemic, could in fact be a slow disaster, i.e. the pan- demic aftermath, as it may involve returning to everyday discrimination, racism, and social and health inequalities. The general wish would, thus, in fact belong to the privileged, rather than marginalized and vulnerable groups.
This inverse nostalgia triggers one of the fundamental questions in Bioethics. What is the primary concern of turning the miserable survival of the most endangered, marginalized, and discriminated groups into something acceptable?
Alternatively, how to prevent firstly the epistemological reductionism and inversions during the pandemics and, secondly, to prevent bioethics from falling into the trap of turning into an omniscient and contingent discipline with aspirations to become a worldview
Antropološke, etnopsihološke i karakterološke studije o korupciji u Srbiji
U radu su razmatrana viđenja i pristupi antropologa, etnopsihologa i
karakterologa Jovana Cvijića i Vladimira Dvornikovića s početka, i
Bojana Jovanovića i Žarka Trebješanina, s kraja dvadesetog veka. Njihova
opstane. Prihvatajući korupciju kao način preživljavanja, vremenom je
stvaran obrazac koruptivnog ponašanja. Taj obrazac je dubinske prirode
i dugog trajanja. On i danas pritiska savremenike u Srbiji.
Slabljenje globalizacije i perspektive veće međunarodne uloge kineske monete
Počevši od Globalne finansijske krize 2008-09, globalizacija usporava
(‘slow-globalisation’), sa sve više znakova deglobalizacije. Udeo svetskog robnog

The influence of the standard of living on breast cancer morbidity and mortality in Europe in the period between 2017 and 2019
This paper explores the hypothesis that there is a connection between the standard of living (expressed by the Human Development Index) and the standardised rates of breast cancer incidence and mortality in the female population of Europe. The examination whether the standard of living has an impact on breast cancer incidence and mortality is based on the use of bivariate correlation, as the simplest form of quantitative analysis of two variables which seeks to determine the empirical relationship between them. The second part of the analysis involves the determination of linear relationships using simple linear regression analysis models testing the average impact of the Human Development Index on the standardised breast cancer incidence and mortality rates. The analysis takes into account the importance of yet another socioeconomic factor – response to screening, which can have a major impact on breast cancer mortality.
Why do regional disparities persist in Serbia?
Regional disparities are an ongoing, systemic and multi-decade challenge in Serbia,
despite the fact that regionalization and regional policy issues occupy an important place
in national public policy. Yet another peak appears to have been reached after the global
financial crisis and during the COVID-19 pandemic. This paper seeks an answer to the
question of how to reverse the divergent movements on the regional map and the
increasingly sharp division into developed and underdeveloped areas. Also, how realistic
and certain will it happen in the medium term? In this regard, the sustainability of regional
growth drivers and the necessary institutional framework changes will be analyzed to
achieve sustainable and efficient regional growth and a greater degree of regional
cohesion
Euthanasia in the Practice of the European Court of Human Rights
The paper aims to shed light on the interpretation of mercy killing, i.e., euthanasia,
in European Court of Human Rights cases. This controversial phenomenon has a
specific legal status. More specifically, due to the complexity of euthanasia, it is impossible
to create universally accepted international standards. On the other hand, modern
society creates a need to expand the legal boundaries regarding bioethical issues related to
the compassionate end- of-life care. The European Court of Human Rights is a unique
international organization that interprets universal legal documents, especially the European
Convention on Human Rights, in the context of euthanasia. Bearing this in mind, it is important to
collect and analyze the information resulting from the specific decision-making process of the
European Court of Human Rights. The Court’s past and future similar cases will
certainly affect the future legal status of
euthanasia both internationally and at the level of member states
vrata raznim nelogičnostima prisutnim u literaturi o turizmu.
aviona nego pola zemalja u svetu? Shodno njihovim promotivnim aktivnostima, i
zahvaljujući informaciono-komunikacionim tehnologijama poznato je šta nude i
kakve prihode ostvaruju.
Religious, Ethnic and Linguistic Distinctiveness in Political Context
This paper aims to analyse the possible influence of politics on the ethnic, linguistic, and religious distinctiveness of Montenegrins in relation to Serbs. The
influence of politics on the ethnic distinctiveness of Montenegrins has especially been
active since the beginning of the 21st century; hence this period represents the main
time frame of the analysis. Since the difference between Montenegrins and Serbs is very
blurred in terms of ethnic, linguistic, and religious distinctiveness, one of the hypotheses
we argue in this paper is about politics, which appears as the main factor that dictates the
differences between these two peoples in Montenegro. Consequently, the next hypothesis
we argue about is the increased political differences between Serbia and Montenegro,
the widened gap between ethnic Montenegrins and Serbs, the increased number of Serbs,
and the reduced number of Montenegrins. On the other hand, while harmonious relations
between Serbia and Montenegro prevailed and the difference between ethnic Serbs and
Montenegrins was not politically encouraged, the number of Montenegrins increased,
and the number of Serbs in Montenegro decreased
